Gods of various things who stand above mortals, and the angels who serve them. They are only interested in people who entertain them and/or can serve their own needs.

Beware of unmarked spoilers!

    General

General

  • Berserk Button: The blasphemous symbol. It serves as a reminder of the shameful defeat the gods suffered in the past. Just drawing it is enough to kill whoever drew it.
  • Hidden Depths: Judging by what Mercedes said to the Three Supreme Gods after the successful transplant of Blue Dragon Artalis's Dragon Heart into Zephyr, the gods may not be as shallow as they initially seem to be; they seem to want Zephyr not just because he entertains them, but also because he may free them from their pathetic ends as the Destroyer of Fate.
  • It Amused Me: The gods only help those who entertain them and/or they can use, which was why they abandoned Earth after they could not get anything more from it.
  • Jerkass Gods: The gods only care about getting what they want, and abandoned Earth after they could get nothing more from it. The only reasons they helped Zephyr were because he was entertaining and to serve their own needs.
  • Physical Religion: Everyone knows that the gods exist, which is why people worship said gods.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: Even with how powerful and long-living the gods are, they are doomed to face a pathetic end...unless the Destroyer of Fate comes and frees them.

    Elite Angel Mercedes

Elite Angel Mercedes

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mercedes_32.png

An elite angel who serves as a messenger for the gods. She was the one who sent Zephyr back in time and gave him the <Silver Key> perk.

Tropes:

  • Big Fancy House: The Silver Key is connected to the guest room of Mercedes's villa, which is extraordinarily large and luxurious.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: At first, Mercedes was nice to Zephyr...until he voiced his suspicions as to why the gods would want to help him.
  • Celestial Paragons and Archangels: Judging on her appearance, Mercedes seems to be based on an archangel.
  • Cool Key: The Silver Key is quite a pretty key.
  • Emissary from the Divine: Serves as a messenger for the gods.
  • Food as Bribe: Zephyr bribed Mercedes with a serving of Blue Dragon Ribs to get Lucius's guardian angel to deliver his letter to Lucius, and Zephyr gave her three more servings to have her rephrase his message to make it look like it came directly from The Goddess of Light Aria.
  • Gold and White Are Divine: Mercedes is dressed in gold and white and has golden hair, and is a divine being.
  • Hammerspace: Judging by how Zephyr can easily store a large Predator corpse and its blood puddle in addition to a myriad of countless other items and later Blue Dragon Artalis's massive corpse, the space the Silver Key leads to must be really large.
  • It Only Works Once: Zephyr drawing the blasphamous symbol. Mercedes warned him that if he tried that again, not only would he lose all of his perks, he would also be designated as prey with every single person who hunts him gaining the perks taken from him.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Mercedes may be a massive jerk, but Mercedes had a point when telling Zephyr that since he is not a Holy One, he cannot directly hear The Goddess of Light Aria's voice and therefore the voice that had rejected Zephyr could not have been hers. After reflecting on the two previous times The Goddess of Light Aria had communicated with him (the first before being sent back in time, the second after she responded to his ultimatum), Zephyr realized that Mercedes was correct; both correspondences had been communicated indirectly to Zephyr through Mercedes. That led Zephyr to believing Mercedes.
  • Loophole Abuse: Normally, higher spiritual beings cannot enter the world of lower beings. However, Mercedes was able to ignore this since she was the one who sent Zephyr back in time.
  • Lured into a Trap: Couldn't resist the Blue Dragon Ribs, which were marinated in an old family recipe and were cooked to perfection, allowing Zephyr to manhandle her after she took the offered bite.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Seems to have pretended to not know why Zephyr was burned upon using the Sword of Light against Black Moon Ramiel. Later, Mercedes revealed that the Sword of Light itself had rejected him, and The Goddess of Light Aria felt sorry for the inconvenience Zephyr had experienced.
  • Our Angels Are Different: Mercedes is based on a winged angel and not the Biblical ones.
  • Super-Empowering: Due to essentially being Zephyr's manager, Mercedes can also give Zephyr perks despite not being a god, like when she gave him the <Silver Key> perk and when she later upgraded it.
  • Teleportation: Was able to teleport Zephyr to the guest room of her villa via the upgraded Silver Key in addition to teleporting herself, her pet, and Zephyr to a different location within the villa so they could sit and have tea.
  • You Have No Idea Who You're Dealing With: Let's just say Mercedes was not-so-happy with Zephyr after he demanded her pay him for the knowledge of how he knew about the blasphemous symbol. Later on, she was even more enraged when Zephyr manhandled her after expressing his utter indignation upon being burned when using the Sword of Light against Black Moon Ramiel and demanded the gods either pay five times the original amount or he would stay in the Silver Room and do nothing but eating and chilling; she was actually about to attack him in the guise of teaching him manners and only stopped when letters from The Goddess of Light Aria and The God of the Sky Akairus came flying in.

    The God of Demons Tartarus

The God of Demons Tartarus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tartuarus.png

The God of Demons and the Big Bad of the story. Tartarus destroyed Earth in the previous timeline, and was one of the gods who demanded Zephyr be reincarnated so that he can restore his flawless record.

Tropes:

  • An Arm and a Leg: Tartarus lost his right hand to Zephyr. To say he was pissed would be a MASSIVE understatement.
  • Arch-Enemy: Is this to Zephyr and The Goddess of Light Aria. One of Zephyr's main motivations for being reincarnated is to kill Tartarus, and Aria has her priests arrest and kill anyone who worships Tartarus for heresy.
  • Big Bad: Tartarus is the one responsible for destroying Earth in addition to nine other worlds. Zephyr will do anything in his power to prevent this from happening again.
  • Black Magic: What he and his followers use.
  • Broken Win/Loss Streak: Not that Tartarus lost to Zephyr...but Zephyr was the first and only one to ever harm him. He does not take this well.
  • Demon Lords and Archdevils: Tartarus is The God of Demons and the leader of monsters.
  • Evil Is Petty: Tartarus would rather risk defeat to restore his flawless record than keep a guaranteed victory at the cost of having been hurt.
  • Hope Spot: Tried to invoke this on Zephyr by "offering" Zephyr to join him...only to fail.
  • Invincible Villain: Was this before Zephyr blew off his hand, as he had never lost and had never been damaged. He wants a rematch against Zephyr to fix his ego.
  • Religion of Evil: He is the god the Tartarus Worshippers serve, and is quite evil.
  • Sadist: The reason why Tartarus "offered" Zephyr to join him was because he wanted to see Zephyr beg for his life. Too bad that's not what happened.
  • Sore Loser: Tartarus got injured in his battle against Zephyr and he was so mad that he demanded that the gods erase the fact he got injured from the records.
  • You Can't Fight Fate: The God of Demons Tartarus's descent to Earth seems to be inevitable, which is why Zephyr is doing his absolute best to prepare for it.

    The God of Debt Usra

The God of Debt Usra

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/usragodofdebt.PNG

The God of Debt and one of the nine gods who supports Zephyr by giving him the <Wall of Iron> perk.

Tropes:

  • Bad People Abuse Animals: Usra killed the turtle he was holding after Zephyr bypassed the collection and flipped him off.
  • Death as Comedy: The reason Usra gave Zephyr the <Wall of Iron> perk was because he wanted Zephyr to die an amusing death.
  • Loan Shark: Well, Usra is The God of Debt for a reason. The <Wall of Iron> skill does not nullify damage, but accumulates it as debt. Once the users' mana reaches zero, they will take all the accumulated damage at once.
  • Super-Empowering: Usra can give the <Wall of Iron> skill to others.

    The Goddess of Light Aria

The Goddess of Light Aria

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aria_9.PNG

The Goddess of Light and one of the nine gods who supports Zephyr by giving him the <Sword of Light> perk.

Tropes:

  • 24-Hour Armor: Aria is never seen without her full-body armor.
  • Divine Intervention: Aria was the one who responded to Zephyr's ultimatum, granting him conditional access to the Sword of Light and allowing him to defeat and purify Eurydice.
  • Empathic Weapon: Turns out the Sword of Light is this. The reason why Zephyr was burning while he tried to use it against Black Moon Ramiel was because although Zephyr was technically qualified to wield the Sword of Light, it had rejected him. However, with The Goddess of Light Aria giving Zephyr a new task that would last ten months, the Sword of Light will be forced to obey him for ten months. As to what will happen once those ten months are up...
  • Infinity +1 Sword: The Sword of Light is this. It is described as being made of a ray of ancient light and is only wielded by a special priest chosen by The Goddess of Light Aria once every few hundred years. It can use <Dispel> of the highest rank, as seen when it purified Eurydice and Georgios with just one hit each. The Sword of Light is so powerful and so renown, just wielding it instantly elevated Zephyr’s status from nobody to The Chosen One.
  • Lady of War: Aria seems to be one judging by her status as one of the Three Supreme Gods and the fact she owns incredibly powerful weapons such as the Sword of Light.
  • Light Is Not Good: Aria might be The Goddess of Light, but she had no problems with abandoning humanity after they and Earth had nothing left to offer her.
  • Loan Shark: Despite not being The God of Debt, Aria still manages to be the largest money lender in Aslan, and has many slaves working in her temples because of this.
  • Not Me This Time: Despite being a massive jerk who enjoys watching Zephyr struggle for entertainment, The Goddess of Light Aria was not the one who made Zephyr burst into flames as he tried to use the Sword of Light against Black Moon Ramiel; the Sword of Light itself had rejected him. Mercedes claims that The Goddess of Light Aria felt sorry for the inconvenience Zephyr had experienced and through the letter, granted him a ten-month-long quest that would force the Sword of Light to obey him throughout the quest's duration.
  • Pet the Dog: Aria might not be nice, but she genuinely cared for Lucius and had Zephyr save him from Georgios.
  • Super-Empowering: The Priests of Light use The Goddess of Light's power to fight, defend, and support. In addition, Aria gave Lucius her stigmata, making him her Holy One in addition to giving Zephyr conditional access to the Sword of Light.
  • Top God: The Goddess of Light Aria is one of the Three Supreme Gods along with The God of the Sky Akairus/Archaerus and one other.
  • White Magic: The Goddess of Light Aria is the source of all the divine/light magic the humans have been using for fighting, defense, and support.

    The Goddess of Luck

The Goddess of Luck

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/goddess_of_luck.PNG

The Goddess of Luck and one of the nine gods who supports Zephyr by giving him the <Strong Luck> perk.

Tropes:

  • Divine Intervention: Towards the end of Zephyr's previous life, she gave him some additional luck, helping him a bit.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: The Goddess of Luck has pink hair, and seems to be really nice.
  • Rule of Three: The <Strong Luck> perk can only be used three times.
  • Super-Empowering: The Goddess of Light can give the <Strong Luck> skill to others.
  • Token Good Teammate: Seems to be the only god who genuinely cares for Zephyr, as seen when she helped him in his previous life and when she was praying for him while he was giving his ultimatum.
  • Winds of Destiny, Change!: The <Strong Luck> perk can make the impossible both possible and guaranteed.

    The God of Medicine Hermes

The God of Medicine Hermes

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/god_of_medicine_0.PNG

The God of Medicine and one of the nine gods who supports Zephyr by giving him the <Hermes's Secret Skill> perk.

Tropes:

  • Healer God: Judging by his title, The God of Medicine seems to be this.
  • Magic Potion: The God of Medicine's perk, <Hermes's Secret Skill>, boosts the effectiveness of all medicinal items and potions by 500%.
  • No Name Given: The God of Medicine's name has yet to be outright given. However, based on the perk he gave to Zephyr, his name seems to be "Hermes".
  • Our Gods Are Different: The God of Medicine is the only currently-seen god who does not appear to be humanoid, instead looking like a white goat with antlers.
  • Super-Empowering: The God of Medicine can give the <Hermes's Secret Skill> skill to others.

    The God of Death

The God of Death

The God of Death and one of the nine gods who supports Zephyr by giving him the <Revive> perk.

Tropes:

    The God of ???

The God of ???

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/god_of_question_mark_3.PNG

The God of ??? and one of the nine gods who supports Zephyr by giving him the <Egg of Mystical>/<Divine Beast Egg> perk.

Tropes:

  • Chekhov's Gift: Depending on what hatches from the <Egg of Mystical>, it might become this.
  • It May Help You on Your Quest: The mystical creature that hatches may or may not prove to be useful.
  • The Farmer and the Viper: Worst case scenario, the mystical creature might end up attacking Zephyr after being hatched. Which was why Zephyr didn't want to use the <Egg of Mystical> perk during his fight against the Fallen Princess.

    The God of Blacksmiths

The God of Blacksmiths

The God of the Sky Akairus

The God of the Sky Akairus

The God of the Sky and one of the nine gods who supports Zephyr. He doesn't want The God of Death to have Zephyr.

Tropes:

  • Spell My Name With An S: Depending on the translation, his name may be spelled as either "Akairus" or "Archaerus".
  • Top God: The God of the Sky Akairus is one of the Three Supreme Gods along with The Goddess of Light Aria and one other.
