    Vee Noceda/Kamen Rider V

Vee Noceda/Basilisk Number Five/Kamen Rider V

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rider_vee.jpg
"I’ve been running from everything, but until now, it’s only been myself I’ve had to worry about. But now I have a family, and friends. I’m not going to run, not when the people I care about are in danger because of me! Today... is that day!"
A young basilisk whose kind was resurrected by the Emperor’s Coven, Vee was subjected to a different experiment which involved having a mysterious stone implanted in her before she managed to escape to the Human Realm. When her friends and family are threatened by one Jacob Hopkins, she unleashes the power of the stone and becomes Kamen River V.
    Camila Noceda

Camila Noceda

Luz’s mother back in the Human Realm.
  • Interspecies Adoption: Just like in canon, Camila takes Vee in, only here, she officially makes her a Noceda.
  • Secret-Keeper: Camila the first person to learn Vee’s identity as a basilisk. She and Vee are also the only two people in the Human Realm to know Luz is a Kamen Rider.
    Masha

Masha

A non-binary fortune teller and Vee’s “enbyfriend”
    Jacob Hopkins

Jacob Hopkins/Slayer Dopant

The head of the Gravesfield Historical Society, and a wannabe witch hunter
  • Adaptational Badass: Outside of a few traps and a training wand he didn’t even know how to use, Jacob had absolutely no skills or advanced technology in canon, and was taken down by Camila’s sandal. Here, he becomes a Dopant.
  • Hate Sink: Just like in canon, Jacob has zero redeeming qualities, and is even worse once he gets a taste of a Gaia Memory’s power.
  • Hated by All: Jacob Hopkins is seen as a nuisance to everyone he meets, and him hunting down Vee as a Dopant only lowers their opinion of him. Even Miranda, the Foundation X agent who gave him his Gaia Memory, lets Gemini get a hit on him instead of intercepting their attack.
  • Obliviously Evil: Jacob genuinely believes that he's a hero defending the earth from demons, even when he has the appearance of the terrifying Slayer Dopant.
Jacob: So this is the power of a hero!
    Miranda: Well, it's a power.
  • Scary Skeleton: His Dopant form.
    Zoe

Zoe

The captain of the cheerleading squad at Luz’s old school

Los Angeles

    Oum Boonchuy/Kamen Rider GX-02 and Bee Boonchuy/Kamen Rider GX-01

Oum Boonchuy/Kamen Rider GX-02 and Bee Boonchuy/Kamen Rider GX-01

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gx_01_and_02.jpg
"Now the Boonchuys are officially a family of Kamen Riders!"
Anne’s loving parents who take the Plantars in while they’re trapped on Earth.
  • Ascended Fanboy: Bee is ecstatic to be a real-life Kamen Rider, even if it's during an invasion where tons of innocent lives are in danger.
  • Anger Born of Worry: Oum is very unhappy that Anne kept her identity as a Kamen Rider a secret from her.
  • Gratuitous Foreign Language: They have a habit of going on tangents in Thai, just like Anne.
  • Hidden Depths: Bee is a fan of tokusatsu shows.
  • Open-Minded Parent: Bee is very open to the idea of Anne being in a relationship with Marcy and Sasha, and tries to ask questions about it out of curiosity.
Bee: So, how does that work exactly? Do you switch or...
    Oum: BEE!
Bee: What?! I’m genuinely curious! This is my first time actually meeting someone in one of those relationships. I’m just trying to clarify
  • Secret-Keeper: Not only do they keep the existence of the Plantars a secret, they also learn their daughter is Kamen Rider Amp.
  • Shipper on Deck: Bee is very happy to hear Anne and Marcy were dating, though he kept it to himself.
  • Short Range Guy, Long Range Guy: GX-01 focuses more on extensive use of firepower, while GX-02 focuses more on close combat with her swords.
    Ted and Amanda Waybright

Ted and Amanda Waybright

Sasha's now divorced parents, who are extremely worried about their child, now that she's in another world.
  • Ascended Extra: The two of them were only mentioned in canon very sparingly, but they get to appear in one chapter, and near the end of the fic.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: For most of the fic, neither of them are aware of where Sasha really is.
  • Parents as People: Ted and Amanda are both flawed in their own ways, and it's very clear how much Sasha's disappearance has affected them.
    Xia and Ling Wu

Xia and Ling Wu

Marcy's parents whose decision to move led to her daughter and her friends going to Amphibia in the first place.
  • Ascended Extra: The two of them were only mentioned in canon very sparingly, but they get to appear in one chapter, and near the end of the fic.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Xia points out how toxic of an influence Sasha was on Marcy and Anne, and isn't exactly happy to hear that they've started a relationship together.
Dipper and Mabel Pines/Kamen Rider Gemini

Dipper and Mabel Pines/Kamen Rider Gemini

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rider_gemini.png
"Who are we? We’re the Kamen Rider who protects the world from the unknown and aims to solve its mysteries." "Together we defend the helpless and protect the world against evil wherever it may show up!" "We are Kamen Rider Gemini! Solving mysteries on the double!" "Now get ready for twice the trouble!"
A pair of detectives with their own supernatural investigation agency. Both of them use Gaia Memories to transform into a single Kamen Rider.
    Mr. X

Mr. X

A high-ranking agent from the F.B.I. who is determined to hunt down the Plantars, believing them to be a threat to Earth. Oddly enough, he has no relation to Foundation X.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Not only is he able to identify and capture the Plantars with F.B.I technology, Mr. X’s forces also manage to stop Kamen Rider Amp from chasing them thanks to insulated nets and foam stopping her from using her lightning powers.
  • Demoted to Extra: Zig-Zagged. While Mr. X doesn’t appear nearly as often as he did during the second half of Amphibia’s Earth arc, the events of the episodes he appeared in that weren’t adapted for this fic still happened.
  • Only Sane Man: Compared to the other government agents he works with, Mr. X is the only one to really take the invasion of Earth seriously. He also manages to see through Keisuke's lies while the Secretary of Defense decided to let him salvage the remains of the Core's forces.
  • Undying Loyalty: As eccentric as Mr. X is, he’s still devoted to his job working for the Government to the point where he refuses to surrender the Plantars to Foundation X.
Mr. X: They’re government property now, Mr. Keisuke. If you want them, be prepared to go up against the government.

Foundation X

    Foundation X as a whole
  • Ascended Extra: The organization and its operatives gain more prominence here.
  • Enemy Mine: When Andrias and the Night invade Earth, Keisuke proposes a temporary alliance between the heroes and Foundation X.
  • No Full Name Given: The Foundation X agents don’t use their last names when meeting with others.
  • Villain of Another Story: Foundation X has their own plans for Earth that are unrelated to Emperor Belos or King Andrias.
    Director Keisuke

Director Keisuke/Dystopia Dopant

The director of Foundation X with an interest in Kamen Rider Amp.
  • Arch-Enemy: To Dipper and Mabel/Kamen Rider Gemini, and later Mr. X.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: Starting from the second season of Heroes From Another World, Keisuke becomes this with King Andrias and the Night.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: Compared to King Andrias, Keisuke is more serious and doesn’t even bother with a friendly facade. In addition, he isn’t a monarch, but rather an employee for an underground organization.
  • Evil Versus Oblivion: When Foundation X makes contact with Darcy, Keisuke attempts to negotiate an alliance between their shared forces (even giving Darcy the Memory Gaia Memory as an offering), but as soon as he learns that the Newtopian forces plan to wipe out humanity and steal all of Earth’s resources, he declines her offer to be spared in exchange for serving her and promises to fight back once the invasion begins.
Keisuke: I’m afraid that’s not very profitable to us. We can’t generate income if all our clients are dead. And neither can we generate income if we only join you, free of charge.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Darcy was only able to survive being deleted from the Core's Hive Mind thanks to the Memory Gaia Memory he gave her during their brief conversation during "A Not So Silent Night".
  • Not So Stoic: When he first learns about the government agent pursuing the Plantars and Kamen Rider Amp, even Keisuke is shocked by the fact that the agent’s name happens to be Mr. X.
Keisuke: I feel as if the universe is – what’s that phrase? – ah, yes – trolling us.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Keisuke decides to help the Riders fight off the Core's invasion, mostly to preserve Foundation X and its clients and because his attempted negotiations with Darcy fell flat. He also manages to convince the government to allow him to salvage any remaining technology left behind by the Core's forces, and even when he gets them to stop spying on Anne, Sasha, and Marcy, it's only so it'll be easier for Foundation X to go after them instead.
  • The Stoic: Keisuke has no quirks to him, and is very serious when it comes to advancing Foundation X’s goals.
    Cassandra

Cassandra/Phobia Dopant

A Foundation X agent who is second-in-command to Director Keisuke.
    Miranda

Miranda/Slash Dopant

A Foundation X agent sent to give Jacob Hopkins his own Gaia Memory.
    Dr. Frakes

Dr. Frakes

A child-hating mad scientist who is recruited by Foundation X.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Not only does her research used by Terri to help create a portal to Amphibia, once she joins Foundation X, she creates a portal of her own for Keisuke to use to talk to Darcy.
  • Team Member in the Adaptation: She joins Foundation X in this fic.
    Dopants
Thanks to the Gaia Memories provided to them by Foundation X, seemingly ordinary humans can use their power to transform into monsters.

In General

  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: While the Fallen were monstrous creatures created through supernatural means, the Dopants are created thanks to science. In addition, most of the Fallen were mindless animals before they transformed, while the Dopants are all human.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: The people who are chosen to become Dopants are usually outcasts of society.
  • Monster of the Week: They take over the role for Amp during the Earth arc.
  • Outside-Context Problem: The Dopants have no connection to King Andrias or the Night.

Vulcanodon Dopant

Originally a teenager named Deacon, he became the first Dopant Amp fought on Earth.
  • Dinosaurs Are Dragons: He can breathe fire.
  • Dumb Dinos: He’s not really the brightest person, and quickly devolves into destroying nearby buildings when Amp points out how inexperienced he is.
  • How Do I Shot Web?: He pretty much figures out what he can do with his Dopant Powers as he keeps fighting Amp.
  • Irony: Vulcanodons were herbivores who didn’t prey on others, while the Dopant based on one is a very violent young man.

Camera Dopant

Originally a reporter named Rita Spinner, she seeks to use her powers to learn the truth about Anne and unmask Kamen Rider Amp.
  • Camera Fiend: Being a reporter, she’s all about using cameras.
  • Cyber Cyclops: Her head is a giant camera with the “eye” being a giant lens.
  • Expy: A reporter turned into a technology-themed villain hellbent on exposing the main hero’s identity? Sounds a lot like Lady Wifi, doesn’t it?
  • Improbable Weapon User: She’s able to use cameras as deadly weapons.
  • It's All About Me: Her primary motivation for journalism is less because she wants to tell the world about what’s going on and more how she can use the scoops she gets to her advantage.
Rita/Camera Dopant: Exposing people’s secrets is the work of a reporter, and fame and fortune follow soon after. No one even dares to touch you once you know those secrets, and I’ll be the holder of them all, I’ll expose the truth of this world with my power and lens!
  • Technopath: Using her tendrils, she can control any cameras she’s able to interface with.

Brawler, Trapper, and Hunter Dopants

Originally three unnamed criminals, these dopants were recruited to stop Amp, only to be beaten by another Kamen Rider instead.
  • Cold Sniper: The Hunter Dopant’s primary ability.
  • Dumb Muscle: The Brawler Dopant is this.
  • Lured into a Trap: The Trapper Dopant can create traps like landmines and spike-filled pits.
  • Terrible Trio: The first time three Dopants have appeared at once.
  • The Worf Effect: Even though they managed to defeat Amp with ease, once Gemini, a Rider more familiar with dealing with Dopants, appears, the tides instantly turn against them.

Octopus Dopant

Originally a community safety supervisor named Robert Otto, he uses his powers to get revenge on Frog-Man.
  • Adaptational Badass: Robert was only really a threat thanks to the arm he salvaged from Cloak Bot’s remains. Here, he becomes a Dopant.
  • Expy: Just like his canon counterpart, he’s based on Doctor Octopus, which is why he gets the Octopus Gaia Memory.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: He attempts to invoke this trope by saying he’s using his Dopant Powers for a good reason by trying to get rid of Frog-Man, but his actions don’t really help his case.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: After accidentally hitting Molly Jo, his granddaughter, with his poison, Robert realizes how dangerous his Gaia Memory is, and willingly relinquishes it once Amp heals her with her Poison Form.
  • Tentacled Terror: His primary ability as the Octopus Dopant.
