Formerly one half of the CCK tag team with Kid Lykos.
Debuted in Defiant #1, saving Travis Banks from a beatdown at the hands of The Prestige + David Starr. His first match took place at Defiant #2, in a tag-team match turned handicap where his teammate Kid Lykos was taken down by David Starr before the match even began.
- Genre Blind: In Defiant #2 during CCK vs. The Prestige, Chris Brooks tried to put a salived finger on El Ligero's ear. Problem is: El Ligero uses a mask which covers his ears. It went as well as you can imagine.
- Refuge in Vulgarity: One of his initial spots involves him putting saliva in his opponent's ear.
- In the Defiant Internet Title four-way match at Defiant #10, Travis Banks (saliva on the other ear) and Mike Bailey (foot in mouth) joined him on his humiliation of David Starr.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: After being utterly humiliated and forced to tap out by Laura Di Matteo, Brookes outright quit Defiant.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: Became very frustrated with his run in Defiant in 2019. One tirade ended in him shoving Laura Di Matteo, and he subsequently ducked out on the 2019 No Regrets Rumble so he wouldn't have to run into her again, as she had entered specifically to confront him.

- Establishing Character Moment: Attacked Martin Kirby at the end of the triple-threat main event of Defiant #WeAreDefiant alongside Mark Haskins. Austin Aries comes to the ring to stop them. It all turns out to be a ruse, as Double-A is in league with them.

Hometown: Los Sanchos, Mexico
Signature Move: Air Carumbanote , Diving Seated Senton, El Booto Dosnote , Handspring Enzuigiri, Superkick , High-Angle Senton Bomb, Sunset Flip Powerbomb, Victory Roll flipped forward into a modified wheelbarrow facebuster as a Wheelbarrow Bodyscissors Counter.
Originally from Los Sanchos, Mexico, El Ligero makes his home in the United Kingdom and has, over the last decade or so, established himself as one of the best, hardest-working wrestlers in the country (which might be something of an understatement).
He debuted in WCPW Loaded #1, defeating Martin Kirby. He's 1x WCPW Internet Title champion and first holder of the title, winning it at WCPW Refuse To Lose against Alberto El Patrón and Travis Banks, and holding it until WCPW Delete WCPW, where he was defeated by GFW NEXGEN Title champion Cody Rhodes. He also won a plethora of other titles in promotions such as 3CW and Progress.
The veteran is quick on his feet and even quicker to take to the skies, his C4L Springboard Tornado DDT finisher one of the most lethal on the WCPW roster. When the masked man is in the ring, you don’t want to take your eyes off the action for a second.
- Arch-Enemy: Martin Kirby, Travis Banks.
- Animal Motifs: A bull.
- Catchphrase: Arriba!
- Character Development: His heel turn was built up over many months, including temptations to use weapons in a match, a slow darkening of his attire to black, more cocky mannerisms, and a change in his wrestling style towards more heelish moves and tactics. It was accompanied by his involvement in a championship chase which gave the changes authenticity as that of an ambitious competitor.
- Dirty Coward: He displays aspects of this after his heel turn, including staying out of the fight as much as possible during the Magnificent Seven ladder match at the August 17, 2017 Loaded event.
- Face–Heel Turn: He took out Martin Kirby during the Last Man Standing match at Fight Back to claim Joe Hendry's bounty and joined The Prestige.
- Fake Nationality: He's actually British.
- Finishing Move: C4Lnote , El Bootonote , Mexican Splashnote , Mexican Wavenote , Operation Weardownnote .
- Heel–Face Turn: In his sendoff at the 30-man rumble, he appeared first as the Prestige version, then as his face persona.
- I Shall Taunt You: To Chris Brookes during Brookes vs. David Starr at Defiant #4, when he wasn't making Brookes to trip in the ring or attacking him outside.
- Masked Luchador
- The Mentor: Liam Slater and Little Miss Roxxy are among his trainees.
- Mythology Gag: In WCPW KirbyMania, he's paired in a tag-team match with Arch-Enemy Martin Kirby. In many other promotions they are part of a tag-team called "Project Lucha".
- Parts Unknown: Billed from "Los Sanchos, Mexico", even though such city doesn't exist in real life.
- Power Stable: The Prestige, during the WCPW era.
- Put on a Bus: Signed with WWE, became a competitor in the UK Tournament.
- Shout-Out: During the Ring of Honor exhibition with Jay Lethal and Adam Cole, he displayed Pac-Man themed pants.
- Tag Team: The Defiant incarnation of The Prestige is basically him teaming up with Joe Hendry.
- Ur-Example: First WCPW Internet Champion.
- Wild Card: In The Prestige, both him, Starr and Hendry have taken no side on the IPW invasion, though they threw away Travis Banks's match against Austin Aries at Defiant #5 just by showing up, triggering Banks's Revenge Before Reason.
- Worthy Opponent: Jay Lethal considers him one.

One of the youngest wrestlers on the WCPW Roster, appearing in WCPW Loaded #1; his first match being a three-way elimination match where he lost at the hands of Joseph Conners. Had an odd partnership with Prince Ameen and later with Rory Coyle and John Klinger.
He's a 1x WCPW Internet Title champion.
- Break-Up/Make-Up Scenario: After being bitter enemies with ex-friend Prince Ameen to the point of putting him out of active wrestling for a time, he made up with Ameen on his last night with Defiant via a show of respect and a hug.
- Butt-Monkey: Was this to Prince Ameen. It all started with his defeat at his hands in WCPW Built To Destroy and went down (and up) from there.
- Sidekick: After Ameen's Heel–Face Turn, he was seen by him as more of an equal. Bordered on Heterosexual Life-Partners at times.
- Face–Heel Turn: Turned on Prince Ameen during the Magnificent Seven match at Defiant Lights Out and kept on attacking him during the Road to No Regrets.
- Graceful Loser: Though he pulled out every trick in the book to try to beat Joe Hendry in a Loser Leaves match, he accepted his defeat gracefully, making up with Prince Ameen and bowing out after a speech.
- Jobber: Kidd had built a solid streak of losses until he pulled an upset over Cody Rhodes and Joe Hendry at WCPW No Regrets to win the Internet title. Hendry later mocked him for it before their tag match at Unstoppable.
- Kid Hero: Used to be billed as being as pure a wrestling Face as could exist, with his youth given particular emphasis. His 4-month Internet Title run, where he took down opponents such as Zack Sabre Jr., Joe Coffey, and Travis Banks cemented him as a force to be reckoned with.
- Power Stable:
- The Kirb Crawlers.
- He joined the Bullet Club for one match.

Billy Wood
Owner of IPW.
- Borrowed Catchphrase: In his first Defiant promo, he used GM Stu Bennett's Catchphrase "I've got some bad news for you".
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: The Defiant episode after the takeover, he cut a promo where he mocked "the new kid in town"."Hello, Defiant. So, you guys won't know this, or maybe you do, but IPW runs Defiant now. PUT THAT LOGO ON THE SCREEN!" (The screen logo changes from the one from Defiant to the one from IPW) "Looks good, right? Put over that shit! So, Defiant Wrestling, the new kid in town. Oh, IPW for 13 years has been breaking british wrestler's ass. Oh, yes, it has! Do you know Marty Scurll? Well, look at here, look at this man right here! "Filthy" Rob Sharpe. Fighting Spirit Magazine's one to watch! "No fun" Damian Dunne! All of you know who he is, but Defiant wouldn't book him!"(chants of "Who are you?")"Sharpe. Dunne. The future of British wrestling. We'll go at you beg at us to do it, because IPW runs Defiant Wrestling now, and there's nothing Stu Bennett can do about it. But tonight, I will say we'll see, mate, because in Fevrier 18, at the pay-per-view, five IPW guys will face five Defiant guys. Stu, bring whoever you want, mate, because IPW (is) ready. So, tonight, welcome to IPW. And, oh, yeah, Austin Aries is on there, too. IPW's Austin Aries. And, uhm, next week he will defend his title against a guy who is 26-0. 26 losses, yeah. He's against... Gabriel Kidd!" (starts laughing) "So, you know, enjoy the rest of the show, because, you know, IPW is here. Thank you! Bye!"
