  • The Ace:
    • Abbey Chase is a skilled markswoman, demolition expert and scholar with knowledge on various languages, cultures and mystical artifacts.
    • Natalia Kassle was a member of Russian intelligence and is considered the Russian equivalent of James Bond.
    • Syndey Savage is a former member of S.A.S and is skilled with a bullwhip.
    • Sonya Savage is a former member of A.S.I.S and her skills with the bow are compared to that of a deity.
  • Amazon Brigade: They're an all-female team of spies though Deuce is the head of the team and they have Johnny Barracuda and Agent Zero as allies.
  • Badass Crew: They frequently deal with both human and superhuman enemies and have even teamed up with Batman.
  • Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: Sydney is the beauty as the most sexual of the field trio. Abbey is the brains given her knowledge of various cultures and ancient artifiacts. Sonya is the brawn by default due to her emphasis on physical combat and being a former Bounty Hunter.
  • Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: Abbey (Blonde), Sydney (Brunette) and Sonya (Redhead). For a time, Valerie was the redhead of the group as she was the third female heroine but wasn't a field agent.
  • Lovely Angels: Initially, the girls were the trio version of this trope with Natalia, Abbey and Sydney. After Natalia is revealed as The Mole, Abbey and Sydney are the duo version of the trope until Sonya joins the team.
  • Ms. Fanservice:
    • Abbey Chase is a blonde, buxom woman whose main outfit is very tight and shows off her figure very well. She is occasionally subjected to Toplessness from the Back.
    • Natalia Kassle wears a fishnet shirt over a black bra and is a Sensual Slav. She wears a white variation of this outfit in Mayday.
    • Sydney Savage is arguably the best example of this in the series. Her outfit is a leather Spy Catsuit with a Navel-Deep Neckline. Combined with her Combat Stilettos, bullwhip and aggressive personality and she gives off a dominatrix vibe. In Back In Black, she wears a leather corset that gets ripped off while she's riding a bike at high speed causing her to go topless for a bit.
    • Sonya Savage wears a leather tank top that shows off her midriff and tight, red leather pants.

    Abbey Chase
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/abbey_chase.jpg

A former treasure hunter whose skills and adventures earned her the attention of the Danger Girl team. She frequently foiled the plans of the criminal Conrad Donavin. She is a virtuoso of numerous languages and scholar of world history.

  • Adventure Archaeologist: She was basically a blonde Lara Croft prior to joining the team.
  • Badass Bookworm: Abbey is a scholar with great knowledge of foreign languages, ancient civilizations and mystical artifacts. She's also a master markswoman and demolition expert.
  • Clothing Damage: In the first issue, Abbey's pants get ripped by a crocodile much to her chagrin.
This never happened to Roger Moore.
  • Dumb Blonde: Averted in the main book. Played straight with her "character" in Danger Girl Special whose catchphrase is "I don't get it".
  • Everyone Loves Blondes: Abbey frequently catches the eye of male characters, especially the villains.
  • Heroic Seductress:
    • In the first miniseries, Abby gained access to the Peach's room by pretending to be a "party favor" for him. When he arrived in the room, she stripped and jumped into the tub, convincing him she was there to have sex with him all the while mentally retching from how repulsive he was.
    • In issue 3 of Revolver, she seduces and then coerces Donavin Conrad into helping them get into a villain gathering.
    • She tries to pull this act on a Cobra guard in the crossover with G.I. Joe. When it doesn't work, she settles for punching him out.
  • Just Like Robin Hood: She is described a modern-day Robin Hood in the first issue.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: In the Army of Darkness crossover, Abbey reads a text from the Necronimicon which causes Ash to start hallucinating zombies again and results in him getting arrested. She reads a text from the book again in order to resurrect someone who can help them but this also has the side effect of reviving an entire graveyard full of zombies.
  • Omniglot: She is described as having a knack for languages in the first issue and she is shown translating foreign texts at times.
  • Vigilante Woman: Before joining Danger Girl, she was already dispensing global vigilante justice against criminals.

    Natalia Kassle
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/natalia_kassle.jpg

Hailing from Russia, Natalia was one of the original members of the Danger Girl team. That is before she was revealed to have been secretly working for the Hammer Empire all along.

  • Adaptational Heroism: Farah Moonbeam, her character in Danger Girl Special is portrayed as being absolutely heroic.
  • Amnesiac Dissonance: In Mayday, Natalia is revived from death but with no memory of her past life. She is depicted as kinder and more heroic if not morally questionable than she was before.

  • Fallen Hero: Before she fell in with Hammer, Natalia was a member of Russian intelligence.
  • Heel–Face Revolving Door: Introduced as one of the original Danger Girls, Natalia is revealed to be a double agent for the Hammer. She briefly forms an Enemy Mine alliance with Abbey when the Fuhrer is possessed by Aticleas and starts draining the life force from all members of Hammer. After that threat is taken care of, Natalia tries to kill Abbey again but fails and seemingly falls to her death. Abbey posits that before she fell Natalia had a look of regret and realization that she'd chosen the wrong path. In Mayday, Natalia returns with no memory of her past and goes through a redemption arc of sorts but still retains her ruthless and cold-hearted personality. In Renegade, it is revealed she has joined the new Danger Girl organization but time will tell if she is genuine or if it is another ruse.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: At first Natalia seems aloof towards Abbey but later seems to warm up to her, even giving her a ring as a token of friendship. This is revealed to be a rouse and the ring is actually a transmitter that allowed Hammer to track Abbey when she found the last piece of the armor Hammer was after.
  • The Mole: She was posing as a Danger Girl operative all the while her true loyalties where to Hammer.
  • Psycho Party Member: In Mayday, Natalia joins April Mayday's team to recover her memories and atone for her crimes. However, her proclivity for solving problems with violence causes clashes with her new team.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Her Hammer outfit is a black and red leather outfit with fishnet sleeves.
  • Red Is Violent: Natalia's outfits feature red and she has a rather brutal streak. She tends to solve her problems with violence and in one issue she puts an end to an argument between Sydney and Valerie by throwing a knife between them.
  • Sensual Slav: She is a Russian woman and like the other Danger Girl members is quite sexy.

    Sydney Savage
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sydsav1.jpg

One of the original members. Hailing from Australia, Sydney is the wildest and most unorthodox of the team. She's always down for a good time and has a complicated relationship with Johnny Barracuda.

  • Awesome Aussie: Sydney is a former member of S.A.S. and is a skilled martial artist and user of the bullwhip.

  • Combat Stilettos: She wears high-heeled boots.
  • Delinquents: Syndey was a troublemaker all the way up to her teens which got her sent off to military school to straighten her out. She ended up liking the experience and she ended up in S.A.S. which caught Deuce's eye and resulted in her becoming a Danger Girl.
  • Dressed Like a Dominatrix: She wears a Spy Catsuit that shows off her cleavage and high-heeled boots. If that weren't enough, she fights with a whip.
  • Hand-or-Object Underwear: She has to cover her chest with her arm when her corset is ripped off in Back In Black.
  • Hellbent For Leather: She wears a leather catsuit.

  • Intimate Marks: Sydney has a birthmark on her breast that is often visible due to her wearing clothes that show off her cleavage.

  • The Straight and Arrow Path: Sonya uses a bow and arrow.
  • Trick Arrow: Generally, Sonya relies on the sharp and pointy kind of arrows but she occasionally uses explosive arrows or transponder arrows.

    JC

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jc.PNG
From the Loading Screen of Level 4.
A video-game exclusive member of the girls, JC is the team's hacker and an overzealous teenage recruit.

The 2000 game is by far her only appearance in the entire franchise.

  • All There in the Manual: According to a tie-in comic, JC was recruited into Danger Girl after Deuce saw her beating up some punks in a Toronto alley.
  • Badass in Distress: When she gets Strapped to an Operating Table by Dr. Kharnov at the start of "Bustin' Out". She escapes in less than ten seconds by grabbing one of Kharnov's syringes and stabbing him through the guts.
  • Canon Foreigner: Doesn't have a counterpart in the comics, with the vide game being her sole appearance.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Unfortunately poor JC pretty much went the way of Chuck ever since the game ended (in 2000!). Somehow.
  • Expy Coexistence: She appears to be the game's stand-in for Silicon Valerie, being a Teen Genius serving as the brains of the team. That being said, JC does interact with Silicon in plenty of scenes.
  • Goggles Do Nothing: She's always seen with a pair of goggles on her forehead, that doesn't seem to serve any purpose other than identifying her as the Wrench Wench.
  • Hackette: Tends to fulfill this role in levels starring her, by hacking through security systems and unlocking security vaults for her teammates.
  • New Meat: The youngest recruit and newcomer to the team. That being said...
  • Only Known by Initials: It's never revealed what "JC" stands for.
  • Percussive Maintenance: There's a cutscene where Sydney Savage and JC are in a submarine, and they're interrupted by a leaking pipe. JC tries fixing it, and when it proves a bit too much for her, she then whacks it.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: She's a teenage recruit of the team and kicks a ton of ass, with or without the rest of the girls backing her up.
  • Tank-Top Tomboy: Her default attire is her red tanktop, one which she wears in all her missions.
  • Wrench Wench: She's the team's mechanic and an expert in assorted gadgets, helping out in the oil rig mission by defusing bombs. The intro even shows her pulling a Wrench Whack on mooks, though she doesn't have this ability in-game.

Allies

    Johnny Baraccuda
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/johnny_barracuda.jpg

A CIA agent whose ego and sex drive are matched only by his skill. He collaborates with the Danger Girl team and has a complicated relationship with Sydney Savage.

  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite his lecherous and unserious nature, Johnny is a very capable agent.
  • Expy: Of Bruce Campbell. He also has some James Bond elements to him.

    Agent Zero
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/secret_agent_zero.jpg

The mysterious Agent Zero is the only agent to defect from the Hammer Empire and live to tell the tale. Always clad in a mask, Zero's origins are unknown to all except for Deuce who keeps this information a secret. There are some suggestions he is related to Abbey in some way.

  • The Ace: He's an excellent martial artist, assassin, Stealth Expert and Master of Disguise.
  • Aloof Ally: Zero isn't much for socializing.
  • Consummate Professional: Easily the most serious-minded character in the comic.
  • Expy: Of G.I. Joe's Snake Eyes. This is likely the reason he is absent from the G.I. Joe crossover as he would have been redundant with Snake Eyes present.
  • Fake Defector: Zero was selected by a man called the Chancellor to undergo a series of missions that made him look like he had turned rogue. This allowed Zero to earn the trust of the Hammer and infiltrate the organization with the intent of killing the leader of the Hammer. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a set up and Zero has since been trying to find out why the Chancellor lied to him.
  • Foil: To Johnny Baraccuda. While Johnny is a flirtatious joker, Zero is a Consummate Professional.
  • Master of Disguise: Zero's entry into the story often involves him posing as someone else before being unveiled.
  • My Hero, Zero
  • McNinja
  • The One Guy: The only male field agent of the Danger Girls team.
  • Professional Killer
  • Stealth Expert
