Alliances

     The Committee

The Committee: Christmas, Cody, Dani, Memphis, Nicole, Tyler

  • Badass Crew: The strongest alliance in the game, with four physical competitors (Cody, Memphis, Nicole, Tyler) three players with a strong social game (Nicole, Tyler, Dani), with affliates and pawns they can use without fear of blowback or threat.
  • Gender-Equal Ensemble: The Committee consists of three guys in Cody, Tyler, and Memphis and three girls in Dani, Nicole, and Christmas.
  • With Friends Like These...: One small problem with this alliance is that none of them trust each other. Tyler and Cody are suspicious of Dani and Nicole, Memphis only trusts Cody but is losing his trust without him being aware, Christmas is sticking with the girls, and Dani's planning on backstabbing everyone but Nicole down the line.

     The Commission

The Commission: Cody and Memphis

     The Core Four

The Core Four: Cody, Dani, Enzo, Nicole F

—-

     Slick Six

Slick Six: Bayleigh, Cody, Dani, Da'vonne, Enzo, Tyler

  • Blatant Lies: While the alliance is legit, they exist mostly to keep Bayleigh and Da'vonne blind to the other alliance and all parties are aware that their alliance is fragile and will break apart at any point.

     Team Freeze

Team Freeze: David, Enzo, Tyler

  • What the Hell, Hero?: The rest of the alliance was not cool with David exposing the alliance to Da'vonne, only furthering the tension between all of the members and their bigger alliance within the Slick Six.

     Adorkables

Adorkables: Ian, Kevin, and Nicole A

     The Connect

The Connect: Bayleigh, Cody, Da'vonne, Enzo

  • A House Divided: They're aware they're alliance is good for now but clearly don't trust each other.

     The Root

The Root: Cody and Enzo

  • True Companions: With Tyler as an affiliate, the three of them have each other's back in the game, even with allegiances to other alliances. They spill the beans to each other and promise to undermine their other alliance members and the rest of the house going forward each and every week.

     Million Club

Million Club: Nicole F. and Ian

  • Book Ends: They were the first and last members of the jury.
  • Commonality Connection: The two formed a close unit, mostly because of their status as the only winners in the game.
  • Meaningful Name: Combined, they won a total of 1 million dollars thanks to placing first in their previous seasons.

The Winner

Cody Christopher Calafiore (1st Place, The Winner)

Cody Christopher Calafiore

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/codybb22.png

Originally from season 16.

  • The Bad Guy Wins: Despite trying to be kinder this season, Cody was still nevertheless a ruthless strategist who was in everyone's ear and had major Final Twos with 3 of the 4 last jury members and Enzo.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: Working together with Dani and Nicole in multiple alliance, he's solidified himself as one of the many leaders of the houseguests running the house. Turns out, he's the true mastermind.
  • Break the Haughty: His grandfather died on Labor Day. Even if you don't like him you have to feel sympathy for him.
  • Book Dumb: Several people have commented on Cody being mostly brawn, and not much brain to the point he learns a new word every day. He's still quite intelligent when it comes to strategizing.
  • Flawless Victory: Cody won 9-0 versus Enzo. This hadn't happened since Big Brother 10 with Dan Gheesling.
  • Mean Character, Nice Actor: Cody is actually shown to be quite nice outside of the game, with his only real faults being his game persona of being an arrogant Jerk Jock, and mocking Ian with a few of The Committee, though Memphis and Tyler would later apologize in Jury on their behalf.
  • Real Men Love Jesus: Like Michie from 21, he prays quite a lot and even has a cross tattooed on his arm.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Cody played a flawless copy of Derrick's game and even had his own partner in crime, Enzo. Cody easily swept the whole jury.
  • Tattooed Crook: He's got several tattoos on his arms.
  • With Friends Like These...: He likes Dani on a personal level but from a game sense is annoyed by her attempts to overthrow the game.

The Runner-Up

Vincenzo "Enzo" Palumbo (2nd Place, The Runner-Up)

Vincenzo A. "Enzo" Palumbo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/enzobb22.png

Originally from season 12.

  • The Brute: He's gotten more physically adept at winning competitions compared to his last season and now can easily win competitions for his side of the house, winning a Safety Suite, Veto, and HoH before Jury.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Despite many people commenting on how Enzo is all brawn and no brains, he has shown some strategic chops by betraying Tyler and Christmas to Nicole when they voted her.
  • How Do I Shot Web?: Had no idea how a Bidet toilet works and ends up wetting the bathroom much to Cody's dismay and Tyler's humor.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Everyone still calls him Enzo in the game.

The Jury

     Nicole Ann Franzel (Juror #9)

Nicole Ann Franzel

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nicolebb22_2.png

Originally from season 16 and later appeared in season 18. Voted for: Cody

  • Alpha Bitch: Where do we begin? She gossips about literally everyone not in her alliance, plays the victim card, belittles floaters, and is easily one of the cattiest females in the house, no questions asked.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: If you know her game from BB18, you know she loves to gossip about other houseguests, blame others for her mistakes, and lies, bullies and manipulates others to get farther in the game. Bonus points for her main targets being the female houseguests.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: With Cody and Memphis as the major power players in the game, who got everyone not in their alliance out.
  • Can't Take Criticism: After the Finale, she unfollowed every alumni who liked Janelle or had minor criticisms of her gameplay.
  • Must Make Amends:
  • Evil Is Petty: Put Janelle as a have-not just for hearing (mostly true) rumors about her.
  • Hated by All: Everyone hates her this time around. A complete Alpha Bitch, backstabber, and victim-player, and not to mention she mocked her "friend" Ian.
  • If I Can't Have You…: Basically with Janelle. On feeds she was seen obsessing over her since night one for being friends with Rachel Reilly. She cries when she can't sleep and goes on to blame Janelle. She goes as far as to disinvite Janelle from her wedding in her goodbye message, something Janelle didn't blink an eye about.
  • Morality Pet: Both Ian and her soon-to-be husband Victor keep her in check.
  • Pet the Dog: In spite of her cattiness and general dislike of the other girls besides Dani, when Da'vonne is given a punishment, in a shocking twist, she takes the punishment from Da'vonne and gives her the money. Her more gentle side is also shown comforting Ian when he starts to feel sick.
  • Playing the Victim Card: She backstabs, lies, bullies, and manipulates others and cries about her situation afterwards. Most of the houseguests, aligned with her or not are aware of this flaw.
  • Sore Loser: Downplayed Although She was in tears when evicted by Cody in Final 3 she still voted for him to win showing that she wasn’t bitter.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Compare her now to BB16.
  • Wedding and Engagement Tropes: She's engaged To fellow S18 alumni Victor Arroyo and plans to get married to him after the show ends. And she will not stop bringing it up or talking about how she's going to un-invite Janelle to her wedding.
  • Womanchild: Nicole is horrible at controlling her emotions, cries a lot when something does not go her way, and is willing to unfollow people who constructively criticize her gameplay.

     Christmas Joye Abbott (Juror #8)

Christmas Joye Abbott

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/christmasbb22.png

Originally from season 19.

  • Spanner in the Works: Unbeknowest to her, Memphis (and Cody to an extent) were planning on getting rid of or backdooring Ian. However, she won the second Safety Suite competition and picked Ian to be her plus one, throwing a wrench in her alliance members past.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: While working with more of the mean girls, she's definitely more kinder and respectful in the house overall compared to her last stay back in BB19. She's much more socialable with all the contestants, making great bonds with nearly everyone barring David much more energetic than cutthroat.

Robert Bradley "Memphis" Garrett (Juror #7)

Robert Bradley "Memphis" Garrett

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/memphisbb22.png

Originally from season 10

  • Arch-Enemy: Ian is his, due to Memphis being Dan's Number Two and feeling like he was robbed at Big Brother 14. The feeling is not mutual, however, as Ian respects Memphis as a competitor and harbors no ill will towards him.
  • Hated by All: Fans and alumni HATE Memphis this season. From his Jerkass attitude, treatment of Ian and David, and for mocking Ian's autism.
  • Hypocrite: He belittles David for not being "all-star material", yet in his original season, he was dragged to the end by Dan, and was the ONLY zero-vote finalist in Big Brother history prior to this season.
  • Irrational Hatred: Of Ian, due to him "stealing" Dan's victory in BB14.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: No one calls him Robert in the house.
  • Playing Both Sides: As HoH, he chooses to not put up Janelle and Kaysar but doesn't support or listen to them since he doesn't want them to be aware of his alliance (and targets Nicole A against their wishes), but has made the rest of the Committee skeptical of his allegiance going forward. As a result, Janelle and Kaysar don't feel like they can rely on him and the Committee have become wary of him at any moment.
  • Revenge by Proxy: Ian was the reason Dan lost BB14 and while Dan himself was perfectly okay with Ian winning, Memphis has made it his goal to target Ian and try to get him out.

     Tyler Ross Crispen (Juror #6)

Tyler Ross Crispen

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tylerbb22.png

Originally from season 20.

  • Affably Evil: He's pretty smart and social, and can be extremely outgoing. Just don't target him or his alliance.
  • Official Couple: With a BB20 alumni, Angela. And while people couldn't imagine the relationship would last, due to her somewhat controlling behaviour, Tyler made it work.
  • The Dragon: To Cody.
  • Take Me Instead: Houseguests have noticed Tyler gradually getting skinnier, and that was actually due to him feeling incredibly guilty for getting Da'vonne and Bayleigh put up, and wanted to mend things over with them by literally throwing his game away so they could stay.
  • Politically Incorrect Hero/Politically Incorrect Villain: Used the BLM movement to make Bayleigh think he was sacrificing himself so she could further her platform. In reality he wanted to go before jury but was esentially told it would be considered a quit by production and he would forfeit his stipend.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Upon realizing his words were what got Bayleigh and Da'vonne on the block.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: In a sense. Similar to Jackson Michie from S21, he's not intentionally malicious but he does have a bit of a mean streak going in, including using the BLM movement to further his agenda and look like a hero. Which is interesting because in S20 aside from arguing with Bayleigh, he showed no signs of racist behaviour.

     Daniele "Dani" Briones (Juror #5)

Daniele "Dani" Briones

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/danibb22.png

Originally from season 8 and later appeared in season 13.

  • Ambition Is Evil: Her main goal this season is to play the Big Bad, be the puppetmaster and be known as the one to take over Janelle's legacy as the Big Brother Queen. Her gameplay has been overly aggressive to the point where even her allies are questioning her drive.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: Controlling the game alongside Cody and Nicole thanks to her strong social game and ability to get the house to target anyone not aligned with her.
  • False Friend: Claims to Janelle that she can trust her and wanted to work with her for the whole game when it reality, she's been gunning to take her out no matter what to topple the Queen of Big Brother.

     David Jamal Alexander (Juror #4)

David Jamal Alexander

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/davidbb22.png

Originally from season 21.

  • Badass Decay: Played With. David is an interesting case, as he seemed like a decent strategist, but never got to play in his original season. He's not an amazing player this season, but he improves his placement, and it's hard to say his gameplay was worse when he was eliminated first due to a twist in [BB21.
  • Both Sides Have a Point: Despite making mistakes in his gameplay, his actions in his conflicts with Da'vonne and the Committee have some validity.
    • Although his friendship with Tyler became strained because he exposed their alliance to Da'vonne, Tyler distanced himself from Da'vonne and Bayleigh, which only became worse when Da'vonne was upset with David for not trusting him with anything to begin with. Although David admitted he screwed up, Tyler didn't.
      • Ironically, the very next episode has Tyler feeling guilty for essentially getting Bayleigh and Da'vonne on the block, and decides to mend things over by offering to go instead of one of them as a backdoor. When he finds out Bayleigh still doesn't like him, he decides to reinvigorate himself, and gives up. So in a sense, Tyler at least tried.
    • While Da'vonne called out David for not trusting her or giving her any info, he rightfully called her out on considering to flip to votes against him when he was on the block.
    • The Slick Six considered blaming the hinky votes for Janelle on him, only for him to keep quiet, and call them out on the Diary Room for trying to spin it on him despite being completely innocent.
  • Butt-Monkey: David cannot win competitions though he has come close to winning some. And Memphis has made it his goal to get rid of him. Most of the house with the exception of Nicole A, Kevin, and Bayleigh don't respect him and insult him about his newbie status behind his back.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: As if people didn't gossip about him and mock him enough behind his back, thanks to Gaslighting by Nicole and Danielle, even his own alliance has turned on him and Memphis has set him up for a backdoor. This is not shared by the popularity polls, however, as David is one of the most popular remaining houseguest for daring to go against The Committee.
  • Genre Blind: This is his first time truly playing, so it can be excused, but it's still hard to watch David blatantly blab everything he's told. Especially from people who saved him
  • Loose Lips: When Tyler tells him that Da'vonne and Bayleigh tried to flip the votes on him to save Nicole Anthony, he specifically tells him not to tell Da'vonne, especially not who told him. Three guesses as to what David does.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Played straight now, regardless of where he finishes as he was the first one out and he's moved up at least three places since then.
    • He's made it to at least jury now.

     Kevin C. Campbell (Juror #3)

Kevin C. Campbell

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kevinbb22.png

Originally from season 11.

  • Irrational Hatred: He thinks Janelle and Kaysar were coming after him because they were campaigning against him despite the fact they were trying to save Keesha rather than target him. He also dismisses their attempts to save Nicole A, furthering the later's paranoia and building even more distrust amongst people trying to save his ally.
  • Professional Butt-Kisser: While not necessarily aware of The Committee and the Core Four, he's willing to align with any of them to make sure they don't nominate him for eviction
  • The Taming of the Grue: Kevin chose to play a much more passive and floater esque gameplay, acting much more passive than he was in Big Brother 11. However, he's actively trying to get himself off the block and not be seen as a pawn.
  • The Woobie: On the feeds he discussed being raised Jehova's Witness, and being excommunicated from the church and estranged from his family after coming out.
    • He's also biracial and admits that he's faced discrimination from his family and homophobes, but also blacks and Asians.

     Da'Vonne Dianne Rogers (Juror #2)

Da'Vonne Dianne Rogers

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/davonnebb22.png

Originally from season 17 and later appeared in season 18.

  • Forthe Funnyz: Legitimately wanted someone to play the Safety Suite and pick her as a plus 1 just to get a punishment since she never had one, with the side effect of her getting safety. Her non-Bayleigh alliance members took it...well to say the least.
  • True Companions: She genuinely loves Bayleigh, and is her best friend in the house and the two basically have a final two deal together.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: If you ever considered her a jerk before, she's become much softer, even willing to mend fences with Tyler who tried to use the BLM movement.

     Ian Patrick Terry (Juror #1)

Ian Patrick Terry

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ianbb22.png

Originally from season 14.

  • Best Friend: He and Nicole F formed the Million Club together and he consider her his closest ally in the game, bonding over the fact that they were winners. Though he suspects Nicole will turn on him eventually.
  • Forgiven, but Not Forgotten: How he feels about most of The Committee mocking him for his autism.
  • Graceful Loser: Shows no ill will towards anyone and exits with the classiness of his suit.
  • He Cleans Up Nicely: The suit on his eviction made him look very savvy and classy.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Ian is perfectly okay with destroying other houseguests' game while casually sitting in the background, and thinking "All according to plan."
  • Morality Pet: To Nicole F. Especially shown after he goes up on the block in Week 7.
  • Out of Focus: At least, on the live show. This is actually part of his strategy to seem like less of a threat and while there are people who still see him as one, he's not as targeted as he would be had he gone aggressive.
  • The Quiet One: Ian doesn't talk much to people beyond Nicole and now Kaysar and Kevin.
  • The Smart Guy: While not necessarily on anyone's side but Nicole's, Ian's intelligence remains one of his strongest assets, which he's been putting into full effect in trying to read the house flow and in challenges. Keep in mind, it was his idea for Kaysar to go out guns blazing and call out Nicole F, Cody, and Dani for their alliance.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: Memphis and Enzo are his, but in a twist, he doesn't realize they are his adversaries.
  • The Woobie: Definitely one of the most easy to root for Houseguests. He's mocked by The Committee for being on the Spectrum, bullied by Memphis, and generally treated like garbage by everyone in the Committee besides Nicole (and even she voted to evict him).

Evicted

Bayleigh Amethyst Dayton (Evicted HG #5)

Bayleigh Amethyst Dayton

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bayleighbb22.png

Originally from season 20.

  • Big Sister Instinct: Trying to help David and navigate him through the game despite his mistakes and helping him feel less like an outcast, especially after the fight between him and Da'vonne.
  • Easily Forgiven: Tyler doesn't seem to hold any ill will towards her for ousting him and screaming nonstop at him during S20. And while she reciprocates, she wants him to trust her in the game going forward.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: Bayleigh wanted to vote for Janelle since they were friends even though she was aware doing so would make it seem like she was turning on her. She ultimately chose not to, but was clearly distraught she couldn't put a vote for her friend while someone in her alliance (Dani, Enzo) could get away with it.
  • Happily Married: To fellow Season 20 alumni, Swaggy C, with him having proposed to her at the end.

Kaysar Mohamed Ridha (Evicted HG #4)

Kaysar Mohamed Ridha

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kaysarbb22.png

Originally from season 6 and later appeared in season 7.

  • Nice Guy: One of the kindest, insightful, and caring members of the cast, true to his character in his previous endeavors. Even with people targeting him and allies not having their back he's nothing but considerate and civil to everyone in the house. He's also willing to talk about more of the social and political dynamics and listen to the other houseguests that are in a similar position to him.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: Him and Janelle rekindle their friendship thrice this season, being each other's final two. The two even joke about how their friendship still remains intact even after they've gotten married, kids, and careers.
  • Revenge Before Reason: His main motivation for continuing in the house after Janelle got evicted is to target and get revenge for those who orchestrated her eviction.

Janelle Marie Pierzina (Evicted HG #3)

Janelle Marie Pierzina

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/janellebb22.png

Originally from season 6 and later appeared in season 7 and season 14.

  • Alpha Bitch: Seems to think very little of the newer players and like Rachel, refers to several Houseguests laying low as "floaters".
    • Turns out to be a Lovable Alpha Bitch when it turns out the real enemies are The Committee and she was in fact, right about all of them.
  • Arch-Enemy: With Nicole Franzel. They clearly can't stand each other.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: With Kaysar her best friend.

Nicole Mary Frances Anthony (Evicted HG #2)

Nicole Mary Frances Anthony

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nicolebb22.png

Originally from season 21.

  • Butt-Monkey: Not as much as David, but she's got her fair share of people who don't respect her due to being a "newbie".
  • Nice Girl/Beware the Nice Ones: She had nothing mean to say about anyone until they decided to nominate her alongside her ride-or-die partner David. Then, all bets were off. She is easily the nicest girl overall, though.

Keesha Marie Smith (Evicted HG #1)

Keesha Marie Smith

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/keeshabb22.png

Originally from season 10.

  • Dumb Blonde: Downplayed, but still there. When she was on the block, she didn't really campaign.
