    Dan's Bakugan

Dragonoid "Drago"

Voiced by: Jason Deline (English), Shunsuke Takeuchi (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/images_12_8.jpeg
Drago

  • Adaptational Personality Change: Although this version of Drago shares many of the previous one's traits, he has a much more immature and fun-loving personality.
  • Blood Knight: Of the good-aligned variety, this Dragonoid is much more battle inclined and actively enjoys battling, though he gets serious as Dan whenever a major threat approaches.
  • Deflector Shield: His "Guard Sphere" move.
  • Delightful Dragon: He's a heroic dragon Bakugan.
  • Flight: Which he seems to forget how to do in the episode "Pegatrix."
  • In the Name of the Moon: He does this in the first Behind the Battle shorts.
"In the name of Vestroia, how can this be!?
  • Mundane Utility: His Tail Crusher attack is just him smashing his opponent with his tail.
  • Our Dragons Are Different: Has the features of a Western Dragon.
  • Playing with Fire: As a Pyrus Bakugan, most of his attacks involve searing his opponents with fire.
  • Signature Move: With and without Bakugan Cores, Dragon has a few key special moves.
    • Twisting Inferno and Flame Wave, his usual go-to attack and his strongest attack respectively.
    • Drago’s Fury, Hyper Dragonoid’s ultimate attack.
    • Titan Breakway (Titan Dragonoid): Nullifies an powerful attack.
    • Inferno Wave (Titan Dragonoid): Drago violently flaps his wings, blasting the opponent with a gust of flames in the shape of a mighty dragon.

Cyndeous

Voiced by: Amos Crawley (English), Yuya Murakami (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unnamed_2_1.png
Cyndeous

Dan's second Bakugan, obtained from Marco Chezanello.

Kelion

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/images_32_2.jpeg
Kelion

Kelion is Dan's third Bakugan, obtained from Kino in the episode "The Forbidden Isle."

  • Kirin
  • Magma Man: Some of his attacks, such as his "Asteroid Lance" and "Magma laser" incorporate magma.
  • Playing with Fire: Alongside Magma Man.
  • Put on a Bus: Dan returned him to Kino during "United We Stand", removing him from his team and the rest of the show until Kino's return during Legends.

Gillator

Voiced by: Jamie Watson (English), Tetsuharu Ota (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gillator_28lizard_like_bakugan29.png
Gillator

Dan's newest Bakugan is an ancient lizard-like Bakugan who made his debut in Armored Alliance in the episode "The Ancient Elder." His Bakugear is called Laser Cannons.

  • Cool Old Guy: An ancient Bakugan and Drago's elder. Once he gets over his faction hatred, he becomes another of Dan's Bakugan that's surprisingly effective in battle and level-headed.
  • Fantastic Racism: Gillator initially had very low opinions of Bakugan that weren't Pyrus. He fortunately sees the error of his ways by the end of his debut episode.
Gillator: Ventus Faction are flakey! Aquos Faction are wimps! Haos Faction are a bunch of goody-two-shoes! Darkus Faction are reckless!
  • Foil: Doubles as an Expy, but Gillator very much so contrasts Nobillion from Battle Brawlers. Both are wise old Pyrus Bakugans who are nostalgic of an ancient time on Vestroia (a time of division for Gillator, a time of union for Nobillion), but while Nobillion was kind and generous towards Bakugan regardless of their origins (so long they weren't part of Naga's trouble-causing bunch) and ultimately died protecting Dan and Drago, Gillator is very much alive and initially intolerant of all other Bakugan Factions, encouraging Drago to go alone without them until he's taught a lesson.
  • Screw Politeness, I'm a Senior!: Pretty much this trope in Bakugan form. In addition to the above Fantastic Racism, he also started a bicker with Batrix over what show to watch on TV in one episode.
  • Time Abyss: Gillator was on Earth long before the Great Collision, meaning that he's well over a thousand years old.

    Wynton's Bakugan

Trox

Voiced by: Ucal Shillingford (English), Shun Horie (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/images_14_4.jpeg
Trox

Wynton's main Bakugan and the first one he encountered.

  • Combat Pragmatist: During his three-on-one fight against Drago, Cyndeous and Gorthion, he spends the entire fight simply blocking and evading their attacks. In the end, this grants him the victory.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: As a Ventus Bakugan, earth and ground themed abilities is his forte.
  • Make Me Wanna Shout: His "Sonic Uproar" attack blasts a loud sonic scream.
  • Mind Rape: His "Ventus Mirage" attack messes with an opposing Bakugan's head.
  • Signature Move: Crystal Rock Riser.
  • Smarter Than You Look: Despite looking like a raging dinosaur, he is actually a thoughtful and strategic fighter.
  • The Dog Bites Back: When he grows tired of Wynton's practical jokes, he decides to leave him.
  • Unexplained Accent: Where exactly does Trox's African-esque accent come from?

Lupitheon

Voiced by: Ron Pardo (English), Atsushi Kousaka (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/images_15_7.jpeg
Lupitheon

Wynton's second Bakugan, obtained in the episode "Mister Moon".

Turtonium

Voiced by: Dan Petronijevic (English)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/66381464_461650441335312_8890614748843998740_n.jpg
Turtonium

Turtonium is Wynton's third Bakugan, obtained in the episode "The Forbidden Isle."

  • The Medic: He has the power to heal Bakugan.
  • Stone Wall: His strength lies in his defense, not his offense.
  • The Strategist: According to his bio, he is quite smart and aids Wynton in strategizing.

Batrix

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/images_1_204.jpeg
Batrix

Batrix is Wynton's fourth partner. His batty personality makes him an interesting opponent to face in battle.

  • Bat Out of Hell: He's a giant bat.
  • Fragile Speedster: He's Wynton's most lightweight and frail Bakugan, but he is one of the fastest Bakugan introduced in the series and can fly circles around most of the competition.

    Lia's Bakugan

Pegatrix

Voiced by: Janice Hawke (English), Kaori Nazuka (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/images_19_3.jpeg
Pegatrix

Lia's main Bakugan, Pegatrix is the second Bakugan she encounters. A self-styled queen of Bakugan, Pegatrix has certain opinions about how her human girl should behave...and Lia is all about challenging those opinions. Pegatrix is strong-willed and powerful in battle, but also enjoys finding the beauty in the world. It's Lia's mission to expand Pegatrix's horizons and redefine girl power so they can be true partners.

  • Girly Girl: She's calm and serene to Lia's Tomboy.
  • The Medic: Her signature move is "Revitalize" which heals her allies and replenishes their energy.
  • Lady of War: Don't let her lady-like personality fool you; she is every bit as capable a fighter as any other Bakugan, as Serpenteze and Hydranoid find out the hard way.
  • Light 'em Up: As a Haos Bakugan, she specializes in this.
  • Mentor Archetype: She serves as this to Lia at times.
  • Razor Wings: Her "Wing Cutter" attack.
  • Winged Unicorn: Pegatrix.

Gorthion

Voiced by: Hayden Finkelshtain

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/unnamed_3_3.png
Gorthion
Gorthion is the first Bakugan Lia obtains.

  • The Big Guy
  • Deflector Shield: His "Bodyguard" ability.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: As Lia confirms, Gorthion gets angry easily, and he needs Lia's cool hand to be his guide.
  • Killer Gorilla: If that temper is an indication.
  • Out of Focus: Despite allegedly being Lia's main Bakugan, he comes much more of a secondary partner once Pegatrix arrived on the scene, later on being relegated to cameos once Geogan Rising and Legends come around with Lia pairing up with Pegatrix instead.

Cubbo

Voiced by: Darren Frost

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/images_20_4.jpeg
Cubbo

Cubbo is Lia's third Bakugan, obtained in the episode "Honey Struck".

  • Beware the Silly Ones: He might be extremely small for a Bakugan and also have an abrasive personality, but the Awesome Ones soon find out he is not to be underestimated.
  • Deadpan Snarker: He lays down the snark to Dan rather hard.
Cubbo to Dan: You don't know much at all, do you?
  • Lilliputians: Cubbo is incredibly tiny for a Bakugan. In his full size, he is slightly over half as tall as the rowdy reds.
  • Lethal Joke Character: He's small, lazy, a complete wimp in B-Power. As soon as you annoy him or give him a Bakucore, start running. As mentioned below, he can even absorb Bakucores of other Factions.
  • Sour Outside, Sad Inside: It turns out the reason for his Jerkass behaviour is because he was lonely.
  • Story-Breaker Power: For some reason, he is able to absorb an Aquos Bakucore despite being a Haos Bakugan. If this turns out to be little more than an oversight, it could potentially become this.

Sairus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/images_2_004.jpeg
Sairus

  • Out of Focus: Seem to be a constant with Lia's Bakugan. Out of the season 2 new Bakugan partners, Sairus easily got the least focus of them all, maybe tied with Tretorous.

    Shun's Bakugan

Hydorous

Voiced by: Scott Law (English), Aoi Ichikawa (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hydorous_behind_the_battle.png
Hydorous

Hydorous is Shun's main Bakugan. Noble and fierce, they complement each other in battle and in life.

  • Expy: Seeing as he is also based on a big cat, he might be this to Tigrerra.
  • Making a Splash: He fires powerful blasts of water from his mouth.
  • Smoke Screen: His "Mysterious Mist" attack.
  • The Stoic: He is a calm and calculated fighter.

Fade Ninja

Voiced by: Brandon McGibbon (English), Shin'ichirō Kamio (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/images_24_24.jpeg
Fade Ninja

Shun's second Bakugan, obtained from Toshi in the episode "Home on the Run".

Vicerox

  • Out of Focus: Vicerox was mostly used as fodder, and his one notable moment in Battle Planet was basically providing a cover to help the team defend against Pyravian, who assumed they were working for Tiko.

Aquos Ramparian

Shun's fourth Bakugan, obtained in the second season during "The Boy from Brazil".
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He doesn't usually want to brawl, but he can be a force to be reckoned with when he tries.
  • Decomposite Character: His silliness and occasional cowardice as an Aquos Bakugan are a toned-down variant of Preyas' antics, lacking the latter's versatile attribute change and sense of priorities.
  • It's All About Me: He is pretty vain in general, refusing to brawl so he could do his nails instead. His debut even had him show off his ability to spin and jump on his shell all while singing a hymn to himself.

Sharktar

Shun's latest Bakugan in Geogan Rising until Hydorous' return.
  • Decomposite Character: His reckless behavior and sharklike appearance match Preyas as well, but his military talk is a far cry from the coward that was Marucho's partner.
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: Adopts this role upon becoming Shun's partner, seeing Shun as a new recruit he must train. His official description even compares him to a Marine Drill Sergeant.
  • Hidden Depths: During Shun's musical trial in "The AB's Grand Adventure!", he's seen playing fiddle to complement Shun's harp and singing, and is surprisingly talented at it.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Sure, he's tough as nails on the kid, but all he wants for Shun is to become a worthy leader-type Brawler, more confident and less unassuming.

    Lightning's Bakugan

Howlkor

Voiced by: Dan Petronijevic (English), Daichi Kanbara (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/images_28_6.jpeg
Howlkor

Howlkor is Lightning's main Bakugan. An aggressive battler, he chose Lightning as his partner because of his animal instincts.

  • Breath Weapon: His Prismatic Bolt attack.
  • Casting a Shadow: He's a Darkus Bakugan after all.
  • Expy: Of the mythical Cerberus.
  • Multiple Head Case: As an expy of Cerberus. Unlike Nillious, however, all his heads sound the same.
  • The Stoic
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: He and Artulean butt heads early on, and even when they do work together, he's not above returning snide remarks. Rather than some outright bitter hostility, this just seems to be their brand of friendship.

Artulean

Voiced by: Robert Tinkler (English), Junichi Yanagita (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/artulean_bakugan_form_2png.png
Artulean

Lightning's second Bakugan, obtained in the episode "Dog Daze."

Phaedrus

Voiced by: Julie Lemieux (English), Reina Ueda (Japanese)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/250px_phaedrus_bakugan_formpng.png
Phaedrus

Phaedrus is Lightning's third Bakugan. Obtained in the episode "The Maze."

Tretorous

Tretorous is Lightning's fourth bakugan, seemingly based on a Troll.
  • Lazy Bum: Part of why he has so little character to show off is that he spends his debut and most of his focus episodes snoring.
  • Out of Focus: Along with Sairus, Tretorous got the least screen time of season 2 new partner Bakugan, by the midpoint, he seems to be relegated to be "that guy Drago fuses with".

Ferascal

Lightning's final Bakugan before Howlkor's return, seemingly based on a cat.

    Ajit's Bakugan

Pharol

  • Invisibility: Can turn invisible as one of his abilities. While its extremely useful in helping him win battles since his opponents can't see him, he also uses it to help Ajit get away when committing crimes, make it look like his partner is flying away.
  • Undying Loyalty: One of his most notable traits is his loyalty to Ajit.
  • Olympus Mons: He's one of the newer Golden Bakugan and with a partner, he and Ajit are arguably more dangerous than the others.

Auxillataur

Pincitaur

Ajit's new partner Bakugan in Season 3.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: Seem to be the nicest out of the Bakugan of Scrap Island (something that, at first, doesn't seem like much), but once someone ticks him off, Pincitaur becomes a force to fear. Just ask Strata.
  • Berserk Button: Being called a scorpion. Pincitaur considers himself a sand scarab and will punish whoever gets it wrong.
  • Mellow Fellow: If you don't trigger his Berserk Button, Pincitaur is actually quite a chill guy to hang out with, if a little forgetful and sleepy.
  • Token Good Teammate: Downplayed, as his friends aren't evil, but he was the least outwardly hostile to the Awesome Brawlers, focused on collecting garbage rather than protecting his territory.
