Fanon Discontinuity is not about the quality, it's about contradicting fans perception of canon such they reject it. I agree such is overblown but we'ed need evidence of misuse before cutting.
How about the Storm King's left over magic being the source of the trouble in "Spring Breakdown".
About the Special Effects Failure entry, are we talking about trailers or the actual movie?
About the Tough Act to Follow entry, does being a Laughably Evil Psychopathic Manchild really make the Storm King (or any villain for that matter) less of a threat?
Edited by WretchedDogAbout labeling Queen Novo as The Scrappy. Just because she seems to be the least liked new character doesn’t mean she is. Can we really blame her for her supposed Bystander Syndrome? She is trying to protect her daughter and her subjects after all.
Hide / Show Replies"Help us! Our city is under siege from this evil army! Only the pearl can help us defeat it (even though I have magic powers that practically does the same thing)!"
"Lel, no. There's no beating him."
"Imma steal it."
"WELP! TIME TO DROWN YOU, YOUR FRIENDS, AND THIS ONE CHILD IN PARTICULAR!"
That's how I saw it go.
I don’t she purposefully almost drowned them. If you recall, she caught Twilight trying to steal, and the next thing they knew, they were on a beach on the other side of Mount Aris.
Plus, I’d say the least liked character in this movie would have to be Verko, who is only a minor character, and is not really meant to be liked anyway.
Edited by WretchedDogBesides, Queen Novo was actually going to help them after the “One Small Thing” song number, wasn’t she?
If Kylo Ren qualifies as both a Memetic Loser and a Love to Hate villain, why can’t the Storm King?
I would consider deleting the Memetic Loser and Anti-Climax Boss subjects on the page. The Storm King may have had limited screentime, but I think he actually made the best of it. After all, he created that huge tornado that threatened to destroy Canterlot. And there was that race to reclaim the Staff of Sicanas, which I thought was plenty suspenseful. And his Family-Unfriendly Death at the end. Not to mention both Twilight and Tempest nearly sacrificed themselves to defeat him. Were those things not enough?
Edited by WretchedDog Hide / Show RepliesPlus, I think The Storm King actually does qualify as an Evil Is Cool / Love to Hate type of villain, for his comedy and sheer menace combined. Not to mention Liev Schreiber’s delightfully hammy performance as him.
Edited by WretchedDogBesides, to me, saying the Storm King is a Memetic Loser is like saying Aku or Lord Dominator are Memetic Losers

Why label this under Fanon Discontinuity? You seem to be making the movie out to be worse that it actually was. It was just mixed with critics and non-fans but mostly positive with fans.
