openWhat title should this be Literature
Here's something interesting. I'm planning to make a page for a Paranormal Romance series. The trilogy of books was published first under the title of bloodline vampires
The whole thing was omnibused and published together after all three were out as court of the vampire queen.
Which would be more appropriate to put the page under ?
openDrinking Game for The Clique Literature
So, upon checking DrinkingGame. The Clique, I say it needs a bit of a cleanup, doesn't it? Or a cut? Anyway, suggestions on the Drinking Game Cleanup Thread.
openReference? Literature
Hi in the benedetto character page it says that there is a musical adaptation of the count of monte cristo where he's a pretty boy tenor type. ¿What version is that?
Edited by NatitoonfanopenWhat kind of page to create? Literature
There are numerous examples about Robert Fulghum's works (All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten and "sequels"), but there is no page to link them to. Should we... A. Put everything on a Robert Fulghum Creator page and forward the names for all books to it? B. Make a All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarden literature page and forward the names of the other books to it?
It's not really a "series" because these aren't novels, they're compilations of essays on a variety of topics (some autobiographical, some philosophical, some just fanboy gushing, some commentary on modern life, some stories related by others, etc.). No narrative (although there are a few essays that are sequels to earlier ones), so I'm not sure that it counts as traditional Literature. In libraries the books are usually put in the Humor section of Nonfiction.
openAnyone here read the Natalie Cooper series? Might need assistance. Literature
To explain, it's a Halo fanfic saga written by an author named ilmiopassato. I've made a page for it since December last year, though with the saga being 8-stories long, it'd be a huge workload adding trope examples and plenty of tabs for the page by myself.
I'll link the page for the saga here: https://www.fanfiction.net/u/446883/ilmiopassato
If any tropers here have read the series and are willing to help, shoot me a DM as soon as possible.
Edited by Hawkster94openEditing Etiquette for Large-Scale Edits Literature
Having recently caught up to the English release of a particular Light Novel, I went to its TV Tropes page and noticed it was quite lacking, and figured I'd help fill it out myself as the series isn't very popular.
However, rather than make edits in pieces I decided to make a copy of the latest version of the main page and work on it over time little by little with google docs; automatically saved, backed up and easier to keep track of changes or notes that way.
The question being, when I finish at some point and start moving the changes over to the main page, would it be preferable to do so in batches with appropriate Editing Reasons? I fear if I just slapped the revamped main page edits into the site at once, a mod could think I'm messing around and I definitely don't want to give that impression.
I'm going to take a few days at minimum on this little project anyway.
openThe Golden Daughter Literature
I don't believe that this is a real book. Nothing about it is showing up when I google it which is odd for something that's supposed to be a "Cult Horror Novel".
openMissing option Literature
I would like to create a Tearjerker entry for Neal Stephenson's Anathem, but when I hit the + icon, Tearjerker is not one of the options. Is there a way I can get it to come up?
openCharacter page for a series seperates tropes by book Literature
The Locked Tomb Main separates the tropes for the two main characters (Gideon and Harrow) in sections for each book in the series (ex, Gideon in general, Gideon in book one, Gideon in book 2, etc.), instead of one big list for the each character throughout the series. Since the page is already spoilers-off, is it okay if I merge the sections together so we just have one section per character?
openQuote source? Literature
On the YMMV page for Animal Farm, the Common Knowledge entry quotes Orwell as saying that Snowball would have ruined the farm through his delusions of grandeur had he won the power struggle. I've tried to find a source for this but can't find any evidence of Orwell saying it, and it sounds more like what the CIA said about the character when they demanded he receive Adaptational Villainy in the animated film. Can anyone find a source for this quote?

Over on Big Bad literature. Omegaman has been adding example albeit rather using their macmillion links over their names ?
openDoes this fanfic example even exist? Literature
So, in the "The Reason You Suck" Speech page, specifically the section for crossover fanfics, there are two fics that confuse me: Fire & Ice, a crossover between Frozen and The Hobbit, and The Transformers My Little Pony Crossover 2, a crossover between... well, you know. Now, if you look at the examples each fic gives, you'll notice that both speeches are practically the same thing, even ending on the whole "You will die for wasting my time". Now, the thing that confuses me is that, whereas the MLP/Transformers fic has a link to the fic itself, Fire & Ice doesn't, so I have no idea to confirm whether or not it exists.
openWork page with redirects for each installment? Literature
Page in question is Bakemonogatari. Excluding an Anime/ and 2 LightNovel/ redirects note (latter to be removed once all wicks are converted, though the Kizumunogatari one has more history than the others), this page has 20 redirects. Going off the description, I think each is to to count for each installment.
All of them were made by Prime 32 in March this year, and almost have no wicks or inbounds. The only one that does have a wick is of an example suggested by Prime32 in TLP stage.
Was this discussed somewhere? As someone with no knowledge of this work, it doesn't look necessary to me. No discussion posts by Prime32 on the respective pages, however one post about the page's title referring only to the first novel while being about the whole series was brought up by another.
openDo Reviews have any rules? Literature
Mostly asking this because, before I request this page to be moved due to deprecation of the LightNovel/ namespace, I'm wondering if this barebones review is even worth keeping along with the page move.
openCut Shin High School DxD? Literature
Shin High School D×D is simply a continuation of the last arc of High School D×D, so I don't really feel that it needs its own page. After all, A Certain Magical Index doesn't have separate pages for New Testament or Genesis Testament, both of which have a lot more content than Shin at this point.
Edited by KOmanopenRequesting a Mod revert. Literature
This is a bit of a weird one that I don't know exactly how to handle it.
This troper: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/el.php?findfor=eeveelutionlover2000 has moved all the fanfiction on https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=FanWorks.WarriorCats to https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=FanficRecs.WarriorCats.
As far as I am aware fanfics with their own pages go into the fanworks page, right?
Edited by LadyErinNYopen Trying to avoid an edit war over a Light Novel redirect. Literature
So I noticed that LightNovel.Shin High School DXD (which was cut at the time) was making a ghost wick to LightNovel.High School DXD (which I'm trying to remove wicks for due to the LightNovel/ namespace getting deprecated) so I recreated the page with the text "Ghost wick to LN / High School DXD" and put it back on the cutlist to avoid it from triggering a nonexistent wick again.
The user DinoCam1795 turned it back into a redirect for Literature.Shin High School DXD. While I am aware that corrective edits that adhere to policy/consensus don't count as an edit war, with the page on the cutlist already, I figure that making an ATT about this will solve the issue faster.
Edit: I see that the page in question has now been cut, so problem solved. Feel free to lock this.
Edited by BlackFaithStaropenPutting back a link without getting into an edit war Literature
In Characters. The Magical Revolution Of The Reincarnated Princess, I put in a link to Creator.Hina Yomiya in this edit as a part of a folder as she voices the character in the folder. In a later edit, Maus hid it in a comment since the folder was a zero-context folder (no tropes in it). In an edit after that, JGC-97 unhid the text, but removed the link to her article despite her having a page on this wiki. I would like to put the link back, but since I was the one who added it in the first place I fear I would get into an edit war. Would it be okay for me to put the link back and link to this ATT in the Edit Reason?
Edited by Excessive-MenaceopenEdit war over image on YMMV page Literature
A couple months ago, I removed an image that had been inserted into the middle of the page on YMMV.The Secret History, since as far as I'm aware that's never done. It turns out that a couple weeks after I removed it, Eievie, who had originally added it, put it back.
Is a Trivia trope. However, I keep stumbling on it in the YMMV section (most recently for The Guns of the South), where people use it to discuss fandom stances on works. Is that misuse, something allowed or should it simply be moved to Trivia? Especially since those from YMMV are rarely about the actual application of the trope (two things coming out around the same time and having to fight for the same audience).
