Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.

I see no problem with this whatsoever, especially since other spinoffs like Colosseum, Ranger and Conquest also have their own dedicated pages.
^ Officially it's a main series game, not a spinoff. Regardless, I support giving it its own character subpage- it doesn't make sense to cram all the characters into 'other NPCs', and putting them there makes it needlessly difficult to for readers to find them.
I don't see how it being a main series game has anything to do with it. If it has distinct characters and would otherwise clutter up the already very cluttered main Character page, then it should definitely be moved to its own page.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Honestly, I’m not much of a fan of sorting characters by archetypes, especially when the games are mostly disconnected from each other character and story wise, not to mention the anime has its character pages split by series as well.
If I weren’t busy, I would lead a reorganization on Characters.Pokemon to sort by game instead of by archetype if I weren’t so busy.
Not sure if some of those pages would get too long, though... I have a feeling Black and White's page may get too long for instance. But giving PLA a page is solid otherwise.
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods Of Incremental)Made the Sandbox: Pokemon Legends Arceus Characters.
Pretty much just copy and pasted the Hisui section of Pokemon Other NPC page. Although I also filled in Ingo's section with some of his tropes from his page.
Bumping this one. I had previously added the protagonists and the professor. Is this good to go?
I'd say it's fine.

I’ll make sandboxes for the other games this weekend. I do sincerely believe that organizing the other characters by their games instead of their archetypes would be better for everyone.
I agree. In the main series, most characters only receive focus in one game and just make secondary appearances in other games. It'll be easier to find specific characters by sorting them by game.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Yeah I've always found the current system for the pokemon character pages really frustrating to navigate. Like, if I want to read about the characters from a newer game I have to navigate across three to four different pages and scroll through dozens of folders for characters from other games.
I've also got the sinking suspicion that the Pokemon character pages probably contain heaps of trope misuse and shoehorning that inflates their size. A lot of old, large character pages do that, especially for franchises like Pokemon that have massive online fandoms composed heavily of excitable young people and hyperfocused/obsessed adults.
But admittedly I haven't actually looked too closely for that and am just profiling based on the size of the pages and the fact that Pokemon games aren't exactly known for their deep and complex writing.

Characters.Pokemon divide their characters by their conventional roles: Protagonist and Rivals, Professors, Gym Leaders, Elite Fours, the villainous teams, etc. This works well enough for most mainline games since they usually follow these conventions.
Unfortunately, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, set in a time period where these conventions haven't been created, does not follow them. The result: virtually all characters in that game are shoved into the "Other Character" page. Rather than forcing them into this, wouldn't it be better to just create a separate page for this game alone?
