I've been getting that bug too. I think it's a compatability issue with Firefox, since I don't have this problem on Microsoft Edge.

Anyone else want to comment if they have this issue?

On Firefox, working properly, but I manually disabled WEBP images and I'm guessing WEBP is the bug.

I've been getting weird display bugs on my iPhone with Safari. The site still seems to function fine but it makes clicking on certain things difficult.

No problems on Windows 10 Chrome, but I am getting it on iOS Safari.

Punt to bugs now.

I'm on Firefox, Windows 7, and I do see that certain icons are breaking.

EDIT: Started a Bugs query.

Firefox, same issue, I also disabled WEBP so that's not the bug.

Unfortunately, ithe symbols are on my MacBook Safari. I could see the "yen" sign, the "copyright" sign and so on.

Firefox on Windows 10, definitely an issue.

Firefox v. 89, Win 7, appears to not be detecting Text Encoding properly.

Posted in the bug link above, but it displays as 'Western' Text Encoding. Manually switching it to 'Unicode' fixes it temporarily, but refreshing the page causes it to break again.

I also have problems too. I also have problems with how large the boxes are for the Latest Trope Edits blocks and similar other ones, like Latest Forum Activity, which probably have to do with this as well.

My tablet uses Silk Browser, and that isn't besieged by symbols.

I'm having this issue in Firefox (Windows 10) and iOS Safari.

Edit: I checked on Internet Explorer since I occasionally use it when I need to have multiple browsers open at a time for other things. In case it ever becomes relevant, the bug's there too, plus folders and drop-down menus not working. Chrome and Edge seem to be working fine, but I don't often use them so there might be some issue unique to them that I'm not aware of.

It's been happening in iOS Safari on my iPad; suddenly changed to it at random.

It appears to have been a glitch caused by a minor software update - the update's been reverted and they're going to investigate before trying again.
