resolved Klingon Romance Print Comic
A society is structured so that if a guy kills someone, the victim's fiancèe/wife is now bethroded to the killer.
Our hero is infiltrating the bad guys' HQ and disguises himself as a maintenance worker or servant or something. He gets unlucky when one of the main villains picks him out and orders him to help him with something, usually of something that a regular worker would know. Our hero is at huge risk of getting his identity exposed, especially if the villain(s) thinks he looks familiar (sometimes prompting a Have We Met? scenario).
Examples:
- Star Wars Resistance: Kaz is infiltrating a First Order base as an engineer, but he gets picked out by Hux (who happens to be visiting the base that day) and his escorts to help him find his way around the base. Then Pyre (who has met Kaz and would know him) also joins them...
- The Last Jedi: A deleted scene from Finn, Rose, and DJ's infiltration has them in an elevator with other Stormtroopers. One of the Stormtroopers
(Tom Hardy) recognizes Finn and it gets tense when it seems he's about to expose the trio's cover until it turns out that the two used to be classmates and he has no idea Finn is a traitor, instead congratulating him on his promotion.
