openSong about the Tour de France (SOLVED) Music
A silly French song about a man taking part in the Tour de France. I don't remember many lines, but one translated to something like "I lost my shirt." There's also something involving a cat, which then proceeds to meow along with the song.
Edited by AlbertosaurusopenViolin score from Covert Front I Music
In the first Covert Front game, throughout the entire Von Toten's mansion plays a background soundtrack, which is a mix of a violin score, monotonous droning and some ocassional piano strokes and wooden/metallic creaks.
What is interesting though, that although the soundtrack is looped, the violin score seems to be kind of cut off, like only a part of it was used. Which makes me wonder whether the violin music doesn't originate elsewhere.
Any ideas?
openCountry music video female singer guys in dresses Music
I remember a music video by a woman singer that had guys in dresses and one was skateboarding in a dress. I think the song was about gender norms or something? Like she could do things guys could. I remember the video quality not being great, by today’s standards, so I would say maybe early to mid 2000s.
openHelp with a song Music
It has a lyric about tracks and hunting. It's not hungry like the wolf.
openWierd remix of "Yashar" by Cabaret Voltaire Music
I am trying to find a weird remix of the song "Yashar" by Cabaret Voltaire. It was sped up a lot, kind of techno-y, and didn't have the "The seventy billion people of Earth, where are they hiding?" sample from the original. I found it on some obscure (no longer in service) site where you could download songs, so it might have just been something they made themselves, but I'd still like to find it if possible.
openArtist(s) that refuse to publish their lyrics? Music
I once saw an example on this site that said something along the lines of "XYZ band doesn’t allow their lyrics to be published online because they want to be mysterious." Is there anyone like that? It’s not Gorgoroth.
resolved Cover of “Copacabana” (SOLVED) Music
I’m trying to find a cover of “Copacabana” that is distinctively quieter than the others. It doesn’t have trumpets or anything of the sort, but it does have an acoustic guitar. I keep hearing it, but whenever I try to Shazam it, it shows Barry Manilow’s original version.
EDIT: I found it: https://youtu.be/8_48DLTQfY8. Barry Manilow also made this.
Edited by sudrictoonopen(FOUND) Music video that references tons of movies Music
The video was animated and filled with Shout Outs to different movies. The art was loose and simplified and the animation was very fluid, with characters from one movie changing into characters from another. The colour palette was also very simple, mostly black and white with some pastels for contrast.
I remember it referencing;
- The spinning head scene from The Exorcist.
- The spiral staircase from Vertigo.
- Ripley and the alien from Alien.
- The gun barrel sequence from James Bond.
- Whichever movie has the poster with the guy standing on the lollipop in the girl’s mouth. (Lolita?)
- The Lobster. Don’t remember how it was referenced but it was in there.
- One of the many, many Batman movies.
I’m pretty sure this video went viral when it first came out. I don’t remember the song very well but the singer was male, if it helps.
Edited by loserswithwifiopenGrinch song that changes genres Music
It’s a version of You’re A Mean One Mr Grinch but it changes genre with every verse I think? It has the normal then changes to country at one point then changes to another genre then to another etc.
open2012 EDM song Music
There's this song I heard on the radio alot back when I was younger it was probably released around 2012-2013 and it sounded a lot like an EDM/dance cover of Walking on Broken glass by Annie Lennox
openSilly scout song with humming Music
It was a song I would sing around the campfire as a kid with my girl guide group and it had this funny little gimmick where the song itself was quite short but it would repeat and you would hum the first line, adding more humming every time until the whole song was hummed
It had actions to go with it too, iirc, including one where you hugged the person closest to you?
resolved Answer Song to The Thong Song Music
An Answer Song to Sisqo's "The Thong Song" done by a black female singer/rapper from 1999 or the early 2000s.
Edited by randomsurferopenSong with some line about how "you cry when you need to" (solved) Music
I first heard this song in 2002. I managed to find it a long ways back, but lost it again, so I'm asking here. It had a male singer, and he seemed to be singing about his girlfriend or something. One of the lines at the beginning was something about how "You cry when you need to". I'm not sure what genre it is but it was pretty soft.

Hi all. Could someone tell me the music playing in the background when Tony meets the Canadians in the bar ?
openIs this an Aqua song? I want to hear it again though! Music
Today, I heard a cheesy and very retro sounding pop song that sounded like it was made by Aqua in terms of singing. It was very "cartoony" and cheery.
girl singing it sounded like that from Aqua as well, same with the dude who came in later. The chorus was hard to make out but maybe it was "I Am On a (couldn't make it out) Of Love"? I know for sure it was about love.
It sounded like a 'kids song' from like, the 80s in terms of the fairly electric sounding beat.
Also, I think one of the lyrics was "I'll be your cheerio" Or something I couldn't properly hear. I was trying my best though.
edit: chorus was possibly "I am on a journey of love" I couldn't properly hear it though because of the background noise in the shop tho.
Edit 2: Maybe it wasn't Toybox either because it sounded older than what they've made, it was still a techno song but it sounded more "outdated" it had a bit of a 60s vibe too.
Edited by cake64openVague Lyrics to a song Music
I'm still thinking about a song that's partially stuck in my hand, but I only know some of the words to. But I know part of the chrous.
Something sex? ... beautiful
Everybody pushing me away...

[down] No, that's not it.

I couldn't understand a word but the singer sounded Jamaican and the hook goes
A bicki boom boom bam.
openIDM/electronic song, distorted version of an ABBA video for a music video (solved) Music
I don't remember much about the actual song other than being an instrumental in the kinda dark, ambient flavor of electronic music- I think it reminded me of Boards of Canada but wasn't actually them. The video apparently stuck with me more, because it was all freakishly distorted footage from Abba's "Take a Chance on Me". While that sounds like a weird fan video, this apparently was in fact the real official video.

Found it in this playlist video (timestamp at 11:11 provided), it's a cover of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" but I'd like to find out who made the cover. Would appreciate any help please. Thank you for your time.
