I loved the businessman zombie guys. Them saying stuff like "I take one for team" and other such business cliches so brainlessly immediately made my mind jump to Dilbert.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.Ricardio was voiced by friggin' George Takei! That's pretty cool.
Wow. The entire internet has a raging out-of-control boner for this show.
And 100% justified. I mean, holy shit. There has not been a show with this much pure and honest child-like fun since...I have no idea. And loads of humor you can appreciate at any age.
bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.So... the commercial preview for the next episode.
...Whaaaaa?
This is gonna be awesome!

I have a message from another time...So I'm not the only one who likes this show a lot.
...Am I the only one who's actually said "algebraic!"
<(-_-<)(>-_-)> "FUSION HA"I prefer "Rhombus!"
I have a message from another time...I've been waiting for an opportunity to use "Slamacow!"
I was so excited when I head George Takei, I yelled something along the lines "Omigawd, is that GEORGE TAKEI!!???" loud enough for my suite mates to hear. As if it's not bad enough that I sometimes have parainsomnia yell random obscenities in my sleep, I also freak out over cartoons and Sulu.
this show is AWESOME

Oscar Wilde would like to express his witty disdain and offer you some opium.Yes, it's George Takei. Completely consentual.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaThis show just keeps reaching new heights of awesome.

Eh, I found the show kind of boring. It doesn't really feel any different from the average Cartoon Network show.

It is JARRINGLY different from the average cartoon network show. Completely and utterly new and distinct tone of humor and writing, nothing like any nicktoon either.
bogleech.com for my writing, comics and cartoons.Actually, I have been thinking that the use of gross-out humor and humorously awkward dialogue is reminiscent of Invader Zim...just on the other side of the Sliding Scale of Idealism vs. Cynicism.
Hype Backlash is a reason why I'm not going to bother with this show.
but I am quite impressed by it's boundry breaking, but it's large amount of randomness is too much for me (and that's saying something)

http://s1.zetaboards.com/Conceptual_Evolution/ http://sagan4.com/forum/index.phpWell, the main problem for me is that all the plots seem like your standard Saturday-Morning Cartoon stuff buried under a bunch of wackiness.
The episode with the zombies is basically "Guy builds up a "Fawlty Towers" Plot to keep his friend from finding out a secret", a stock cartoon plot. "Tree Trunks" can be boiled down to "One-shot cast member is really annoying and fucks things up for everyone", a plot I've seen in Spongebob Squarepants and Jimmy Neutron. Cliche Storms are boring.
I can see the show's appeal and I won't insult anyone because they like it, but I just don't think it's that good.

If you boil things down too much, they start tasting like boiled water.
What makes Adventure Time fun is its wackiness. I don't come for the plot— I come to watch a little boy punch a wall of flesh. I am very rarely disappointed.
It's fun and it makes me happy. That's all's I know.
Thanks for the all fish!If you're watching Cartoon Network for the plot, you're doing it wrong.
<(-_-<)(>-_-)> "FUSION HA"What's the point of a story if there's no plot?
There is a plot. But the plot is a vehicle for the humor.
<(-_-<)(>-_-)> "FUSION HA"Novel plots are no more. We've been telling stories for millenniums, at this point everything is just Recycled In Space if you think about it for long enough. The profound is a delusion, and once you accept that you can make your delusions really really cool by having a little boy punch meat walls.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go be insufferable somewhere else.

Oscar Wilde would like to express his witty disdain and offer you some opium. And the WTF stays strong for another week running!
I quite enjoyed the first episode. It was cute! It was funny! More from the Rainycorn, yay! And gotta love that "changing colors" thing.
But man, "Memories of Boom-Boom Mountain" was just weird. Aside from the bizarre backstory-y stuff, it seemed... oddly depressing in the end. Not quite "Tree Trunks" weird, but the whole melting ice cube and dead-fish-mom thing was creepy. It was like George Ice Cube all over again.
Though the tiny animals, and Jake's parents (I'm assuming) adopting Baby Finn things were adorable.
Oh, and did I catch some Getting Crap Past the Radar in "My Two Favorite People?" The way two of those names on Jake's contact list ran together, it sounded like he said "asshole."

"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI find it odd that I'm more confused by the rainicorn talking in an adorable japanese voice than her talking with an old man's voice.
Love this show. Wish it wasn't on one day a week. Cartoon Network should get rid of their live action crap and put this in its timeslot.
This being my first experience with Business Time: those dudes triggered my Body Horror sensitivity with the clusters of stuff on their faces. Brrr. On the other hand, the Fuzzy Friends were just adorable.
Did anyone else find Ricardio oddly reminescent of the "A Side Of Sulu You've Never Seen Before" video? If you're not familiar with it... just... Just You Tube it. It speaks for itself.
