I feel compelled to ask: Is the Baccano dub any good? I saw it subbed.
The owner of this account is temporarily unavailable. Please leave your number and call again later.Very. One of the best.
It started in mud, as many things do.The chart has spoken. You must obey the chart.
I shall keep that in mind then. I may have to pick up the boxset. (I'm also amused by the fact I have seen almost all the dubs in that "Epic" section, and nothing in the bottom two sections.)
The owner of this account is temporarily unavailable. Please leave your number and call again later. No Darker Than Black, Ghost In The Shell should be in the "good" secion, and "epic" is the Replacement Scrappy of "awesome".
Well, at least I think so.
It started in mud, as many things do.Uncool.
I'm pretty sure that's what you call a statement.
Anyway, it could be considered great, if not for Batou's voice actor. *shudder*.
It started in mud, as many things do.Go away.
Claire Stanfield: Crazy Awesome Heroic Sociopath or Ax Crazy Psycho For Hire? Discuss.
Both. He fits pretty much every Badass trope there is except for Badass Abnormal.
It started in mud, as many things do.I freakin' love this series. I watched the dub and thought it was absolutely amazing, especially Ladd Russo, despite the fact that his VA has done basically nothing else of note.
Claire Stanfield is definitely Crazy Awesome first and foremost, and then pretty much every other awesome/badass trope in the book as well.
What are the chances of another season? How many more light novels are there in the series that haven't yet been animated?
Listen to Music with Tropers at The Troper Turntable! The anime doesn't cover one novel, just parts of a few. There are like, 14 novels. No plans for a second season have ever been announced. Ever.
It started in mud, as many things do....Yeah, I'm gonna have to tell that chart to go fuck itself on the basis that Macross Plus is in "Terrible" and Gonzo's complete fail of a Hellsing adaptation in "Epic"
Now, I would talk about Baccano!, but my discussions about Baccano! tend to devolve into rabid gushing fits over the awesome.

"If there's a hole, it's a man's job to thrust into it!" — Ryoma Nagare, New Getter RoboINORITE?
the statement above is falseME!
I love everyone in that series. Except Dallas.
An useless name, a forsaken connection.Yeah, Dallas is an asswipe.
Ladd, Firo, Ronnie and Maiza are my favorites (not including Claire, 'cause he's everyone's favorite).

Dallas is supposed to be an asswipe. He exists to collect all the nonawesome in the Baccano universe so that everyone else can be OMGWTFAWESOME!!
In other news, is Jaccuzi Splot not the most secretly badass pussy/shrinking violet ever? It's like the more he cowers in fear, the more he kicks your ass. And then he sends flowers to your widow after he headbutts you off a train, causing you to explode.

"If there's a hole, it's a man's job to thrust into it!" — Ryoma Nagare, New Getter RoboDallas isn't an asswipe, you must be thinking of El Paso, home of Manos The H Ands Of Fate.
Mathematics Is A Language.Jacuzzi is awesome just because he's Jacuzzi.
I just saw an advertisement for the DVD over in the left-hand bar - "Because nothing makes the Great Depression sexier than alchemy battles and Mafia hitmen."
[Spit Take laugh]
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableJust picked up the complete boxset so I decided to check out the OVA and all I can say is: Holy crap, Graham Specter! I didn't think anyone would be able to match Ladd's likable insanity but I guess I was wrong as Graham was a wonder of a hammy motormouthed lunatic. And this coming from the guy best known for reserved, dry, snappy snarkers? Amazing.
MAL Profile | Underwhelming blogI tried to watch the first episode but eventually I was just like "Okay what the hell is going on and what does it have to do with anything?!" and gave up.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.
Because I love this series with all my heart.
Who else is waiting on a second season?
