During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.
Update: The new threads have been made and can be found here:
Please see the Frequently Asked Questions and Common Requests List before suggesting any new entries for this trope.
IMPORTANT: To avoid a holler to the mods, please see here for the earliest date a work can be discussed, (usually two weeks from the US release), as well as who's reserved discussion.
When voting, you must specify the candidate(s). No blanket votes (i.e. " to everyone I missed").
No plagiarism: It's fair to source things, but an effortpost must be your own work and not lifted wholesale from another source.
We don't care what other sites think about a character being a Complete Monster. We judge this trope by our own criteria. Repeatedly attempting to bring up other sites will earn a suspension.
What is the Work
Here you briefly describe the work in question and explain any important setting details. Don't assume that everyone is familiar with the work in question.
Who is the Candidate and What have they Done?
This will be the main portion of the Effort Post. Here you list all of the crimes committed by the candidate. For candidates with longer rap sheets, keep the list to their most important and heinous crimes, we don't need to hear about every time they decide to do something minor or petty.
Do they have any Mitigating Factors or Freudian Excuse?
Here you discuss any potential redeeming or sympathetic features the character has, the character's Freudian Excuse if they have one, as well as any other potential mitigating factors like Offscreen Villainy or questions of moral agency. Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

So, it's May 6. We can now discuss Star Fox Zero.

Regardimg, Amanuma seeing as he's being downvoted due to starting out as a typical schoolyard bully who transcended into outright villain territory near the end but still doesn't meet the baseline standard due to only having a few rapes/attempted murders. Should Aki Honda be cut as well? Aki Honda only raped the protagonist, I believe so Amanuma is more heinous than her and if his actions don't reach the baseline standard.....
So, Batman: The Killing Joke will be released on DVD/Blu-Ray August 2, but digitally July 23. Which one do we use for purposes of the two-week wait?

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsI say DVD/Blu-ray. It's more accessible than getting it digitally.
I write stories and shiz. You can read them here. And added. I also added the following:
This is not a complete list. Even if a work is not listed, the two-week rule still applies.

Actually, Amanuma Shinichi never raped anyone. He convinced Buchi to rape his friend and he recorded them doing so.
It doesn't matter if you want to be useful to someone. There's no such thing as a life worth throwing away!Given the porn nature of this, plot or not, I'm markedly uncomfortable allowing it to go up.
Also, no offense, but I am not reading furry porn to determine if someone qualifies. That is just not going to be something that happens.

Amanuma.
I'm not trying to start a Flame War or anything, but to be fair, I started the TV Tropes page of Mekko Rarekko because since it needs it to qualify in the first place and it has it, it is one of the few rare examples of Porn with Plot and as most people know that qualifies it to have a page as well as Administrativia/There is No Such Thing as Notability. Yes I understand that not everyone is into Yiff (just like how nobody likes everything,) but I only tried to have him nominated for a Complete Monster because he was definitely not the nicest of all characters at all. I just thought and hoped that he could be the first (and only) character from an adult work to be labeled as a complete monster. But it seems highly unlikely that it will be the case now.
So I'm okay if he isn't labeled as a complete monster and if people don't want to read it. I was never try to force anyone to read it, but I was however simply encouraging it. And porn, even if it has a plot to it is still a very touchy subject in the world especially when its Yiff. So I will be fine and I accept that Amanuma Shinichi will not be qualified as a Complete Monster.

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsIf I'm not mistaken, we do already technically have an example from a Porn with Plot in Zouken Matou.
Amanuma from me though, I don't think he quite passes the baseline standard.

Eheheh, yeah I just realized this now. Don't worry I'll go ahead and change it. Although Porn With Pot does sound like it could be interesting porn indeed
It doesn't matter if you want to be useful to someone. There's no such thing as a life worth throwing away!Although, I think there was a version released without the porn (same thing with Akai I think).

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM Drafts@inuyusharules31, that is considered enforced rape which while just as bad I don't think doing it to only one person is enough. Then again, like I said Aki Honda qualified and she performed similar actions.
I've done some research on Aki Honda, and there's a few points that concern me. First, was her relationship with her brother ever discussed? From what I've seen on the character page and a little bit reading on the character, it's an incestuous relationship that by all accounts seems genuinely cordial. I'm also concerned if she's really heinous enough. What she does is horrible, but the person she ends up doing it to ends up going on a brutal killing spree and gives Aki a gory Karmic Rape of her own. How does Aki Honda end up qualifying any more than, say (my excuse for bringing up a rather horrible creepypasta, but it's the only immediate example I can think of) Randy as compared to Jeff?
to Amanuma
@Camberf: Not to be rude, but yes, you are mistaken. Fate/Stay Night is not porn. Like, at all. People call it an "Eroge" and the like, when it has, like, four or five 10-minute sex scenes in a 30 hour long-story.
Heck, I'm pretty sure the creator of it only put in those sex scenes because he thought it was basic practice for Visual Novels to have those scenes. He didn't want those scenes, and it shows in his writing of them.
Finally, the Fate/Stay Night franchise has 4 different anime adaptations at this point. None of those have sex scenes, and they're practically the exact same product as the VN besides that.
Sorry for the rant, but this topic really irks me.
Tonight I dine on monkey soup. You know, I always thought that the worst places to propose examples of this trope were shitty creepypastas and pointless dark fics, and that you couldn't get worse than that. Glad to see I've been proven wrong with a furry porn example.
I'm just going to abstain from voting for the candidate altogether and try to forget I ever saw this. :I

Now that I think about it, does this work even got with TV Tropes content policy?
I see you weren't there when I proposed a rewrite for a villain from a furry web-novel that included both rape scenes and a scene of castration in it.
I'm not entirely sure why it wouldn't. O__o It's just a manga/visual novel with NSFW content in it. That's like saying Camouflage shouldn't exist because it has explicit rape scenes in it.

I write stories and shiz. You can read them here.I talked to one of the moderators a while ago and they said that it was allowed because it is still a case of Porn with Plot and I am not adding any of the details either. If it was just porn with no plot to it, it probably wouldn't be allowed, but since it does it can be kept. Just like Visual Novel/Morenatsu. There is sex in it as well, but it has a plot to it and the sex normally doesn't show up until the end. Mekko Rarekko as far as I see, is not a 5P work and it is acceptable.
It doesn't matter if you want to be useful to someone. There's no such thing as a life worth throwing away! Also, no offense, but I am not reading furry porn to determine if someone qualifies. That is just not going to be something that happens.
Ayup.
Wait, a furry porn? How does that even look-
...Never mind.
Why so serious?I'm just waiting for someone to scream to change the FAQ to saying that we shouldn't propose any "furry porn" examples again, unless they're legitimate stories like Out of Position where the porn is minimal and the plot itself greatly overshadows all of the NSFW content.
