During the investigation of recent hollers in the Complete Monster thread, it's become apparent to the staff that an insular, unfriendly culture has evolved in the Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard threads that is causing problems.
Specific issues include:
- Overzealous hollers on tropers who come into the threads without being familiar with all the rules and traditions of the tropes. And when they are familiar with said rules and traditions, they get accused (with little evidence) of being ban evaders.
- A few tropers in the thread habitually engage in snotty, impolite mini-modding. There are also regular complaints about excessive, offtopic "socializing" posts.
- Many many thread regulars barely post/edit anywhere else, making the threads look like they are divorced from the rest of TV Tropes.
- Following that, there are often complaints about the threads and their regulars violating wiki rules, such as on indexing, crosswicking, example context and example categorization. Some folks are working on resolving the issues, but...
- Often moderator action against thread regulars leads to a lot of participants suddenly showing up in the moderation threads to protest and speak on their behalf, like a clique.
It is not a super high level problem, but it has been going on for years and we cannot ignore it any longer. There will be a thread in Wiki Talk
to discuss the problem; in the meantime there is a moratorium on further Complete Monster and Magnificent Bastard example discussion until we have gotten this sorted out.

Try to present these as objectively as possible by presenting any evidence that may support or refute the mitigating factors.
Do they meet the Heinousness Standard?
Here you compare the actions of the Candidate to other character actions in the story in order to determine if they stand out or not. Remember that all characters, not just other villains, contribute to the Heinousness Standard
Final Verdict?
Simply state whether or not you think the character counts or not.

the Queen Leech is explicitly and definitely not Marcus himself revived from the dead, it is its own entity with all his memories and DNA. While in most instances it refers to itself as Marcus himself, in one confrontation with Birkin and Wesker, it refers to Marcus as someone else when they're in disbelief at what they're seeing.

I can’t speak on his relationships with Birkin and Wesker, but the Queen Leech both is and isn’t Marcus - it’s a separate being, but it took Marcus’ memories and personality

- 1984 film & Afterlife: Gozer the Gozerian is "an extradimensional demonic entity" who's sought the destruction of the world for centuries and proclaimed itself the "Destructor". As a means of being summoned, Gozer has its servants Zuul the Gatekeeper and Vinz Clortho the Keymaster each find a person to possess and then combine their powers to open a portal so it can come through. Gozer attempts to use its powers to kill the Ghostbusters for not being gods and then unleashed itself as the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man into New York to target them again before being defeated. 30 years later, Gozer causes the death of Dr. Egon Spengler for impeding its next attempt to unleash itself onto the world and once again has people possessed—including a teenage girl—in order to guarantee it's not only freed but properly powered too. Gozer also has ghosts freed to target Summerville however they so desire and even when welcomed by Ivo Shandor who built the monuments to make Gozer's arrival possible, responds to the human wanting to rule with her by effortlessly ripping him in half.

Btw the Game cannot be in continuity with afterlife. Since Ivo is still around in the latee while he's permanently destroyed in the former. Plus his burial is in game is in central park while it's in summervile in the afterlife.

shouldn't one of the poster boys for all-time evil in video games, Volgin (who is even the page image for MGS) from Metal Gear, actually be reconsidered? Maybe considerations for a monster were different before since Derek Powers was even recently cut for displaying a sliver of humanity.
You can write whole essays on how evil Yevgeny Borisovitch Volgin is, but it sticks out like a sore thumb this guy has a real mutually loving romantic relationship with someone in the form of Raikov, unlike EVA, who he just sexually tortures and has no genuine care for. Raikov abuses his authority to be an asshole to his subordinates implicitly because Volgin said he will never stand for anyone hurting him.
When he confronts Snake, he's enraged over the fact he beat up Raikov and openly says he's going to pay for that more than anything.
