No Simon's Quest?
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowAnd nothing of value was lost.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Except Simon if you don't help him fight off that damn curse!
One Strip! One Strip!Haunted Castle is part of a Konami Arcade collection that is coming out first, so it seems it will not be part of this collection. (Once again, nothing of value...)
I think X68000/Chronicles would be a good choice. Maybe even Kid Dracula if they're feeling silly.
So for the hell of it, I'm checking out a Let's Play of Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.
I'm still hoping that Trevor's Simon and Richter's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will lead to a revival of the series (even though I probably won't play it as I've never played a Castlevania game oddly enough).
I just feel like it's a good time with both the Warren Ellis animated Netflix series and both Simon and Richter appearing in Smash Bros.
But that might be expecting too much from Konami.

One Strip! One Strip! They're making a new Tokimeki Memorial game, so who knows. Maybe one day someone in the company will do something.
"No will to break."...Right, I'm gonna beat my usual dead horse and say bring back Sonia and have her use the combat cross.
Peace. Rob out!
<Disappears Mysteriously>
One Strip! One Strip! So continuing my viewing of a Let's Play of Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.
I swear, I always seem to find the LPer's with the most annoying voices and habits.
In terms of the latter (from my point of view) it's refusing to use certain abilities. This guy has cards that could create barriers for him for areas where the spawn rates of enemies make it difficult to move about, but her refuses to use them, while still complaining about how annoying the enemies are.
Now, maybe I'm just back seat gaming, since I admit, I have a habit of not using some abilities when I play certain games, more out of fear of wasting them (I'm barely using the Master Sword in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild despite it's regeneration because I don't want to lose it during a fight where having it might be very useful, but this goes against the entire point of having it), so what the hell do I know. All I know is that is annoying when I watching someone else play, which probably makes me a hypocrite.
One Strip! One Strip!Finished my viewing of Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. Not much to say. As one of the non Belmont heroes, Nathan just does his job and that's that. The Card system was interesting, but it seems most of these games have trouble giving you a reason to use all but a few of them.
Anyway, the real reason I made this point, is because I've been wondering who the true strongest Belmont is...
I nominate Sherry:
The fact that, in addition to the last name, she's fighting Demons with a flail makes me wonder if Raiku was doing a deliberate Shout-Out.
One Strip! One Strip! The rest of Castlevania Collection has been revealed:
-Bloodlines
-Kid Dracula (Famicom/NES Version)
-Castlevania: The Adventure
-Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
Don't know why they went with Adventure and not Adventure Rebirth given that basically everyone agrees that the original GB title is garbage.
Fingers crossed that Collection 2 are all the Metroidvanias plus Rondo of Blood.

Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...Doubt it, they already put SOTN and Rondo in their own collection
Might snap this up when it comes out, along with the original Requiem two parter.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowAbout time Bloodlines got a re-release. I think it was only ever on the Genesis before this.
Funnily enough it just got revealed for being on theupcoming Sega Genesis mini today.
Still waiting for a Legion of Losers movie...So I just noticed that in the vast majority of cases, playable mages (barring some Magic Knight characters) tend to near always be female.
Seems like a bit of a stereotype. Are there any male playable characters in the franchise who fight primarily with magic.
One Strip! One Strip!Juste?
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterJuste is still more a Magic Knight. Yeah he can use Magic, but so can Richter via Item Crashes.
Plus he's still wielding the Vampire Killer mainly.
One Strip! One Strip!Curse of the Moon has Alfred, who's the equivalent of Sypha, except he has far less health.
"No will to break."There's not a whole lot of primary/pure magic users in Castlevania anyway. Only 3 or 4, I think.
Edited by Hashil on Apr 19th 2019 at 8:12:31 AM
And they're all descended from Sypha anyway.
"No will to break."Pure spellcasters are... Sypha, Carrie, Charlotte, Loretta but not Stella and Yoko. Yup, all ladies.
Julia and Mina would be too if they where actually playable.
Maria's a maybe. My favorite version of the character has her going full Dragon Ball but they've pulled back on that and made her less punchy and more bird throwy.
The only other female playables are Shanoa and Sonia, who are of course magick knights. Castlevania has a very high density of Magic Knight characters. Which is one of the reasons it's so cool, honestly.
Bleye knows Sabers. Not much gun users tho. We got Albus and his magic flintlock and Soma can pick up guns but we've barely got one usable crossbow out of any of them.
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowHey don't forget Henry Oldrey!
Most of the cast was born before the advent of firearms. Not that that ever stopped the anachronisms. Still wish a few more picked one up, Jonathan really has no excuse in particular.
Bleye knows Sabers.OH SHIT I FORGOT GOOD OL' HENRY
Okay, Henry and his sixshooter, Albus and his flintlock and whatever Soma can get (Gundam Seed laser rifles or silver bullet guns)
Jonathan was born in an age of the fucking Mauser pistol and the M1 Garand so why he didn't pack at least one gun as insurance I have no idea. Nor do I know why none of Charlotte's spells summon guns. Or why any CV protag eschews even thelimited ranged weapons of their age like crossbows or flatbows. C'mon Richter, you live in the age of the arbalest, grab one just incase and enchant it with God Power!
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowWhy do you need a crossbow when you have the power of the Holy Cross and daggers?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!
"Take him with you?" Sure game, sure.
"No will to break."
