This is the thread we use to talk things over with people who have received a suspension notice. A lot of the time the notice goes out just so we can explain how seriously we take certain things, not because we want the person to feel bad and go away.
If you're suspended, give What to Do If You Are Suspended a read, then post here to begin your appeal. We try to respond to appeals in order via batch posts every few days. If a moderator has responded to your appeal, you will receive a notification in your private messages, even if you're suspended from PMs.

Don'ts
- Don't be rude. Rule 1 applies here, too.
- Don't try to negotiate your suspension outside of this thread, such as by sending Private Messages to moderators or posting elsewhere. Such activity may be thumped or otherwise removed, and may warrant an additional suspension block if it keeps happening. All communications have to take place within this thread.
- Don't respond to other suspended users. This is a place for you to discuss your suspension, not others'.
- Don't post multiple times about your appeal if it hasn't been a few days since your last reply from us, since it makes it more difficult to compose responses. If you've posted, we're likely looking at it, and kindly request you to be more patient.
- Don't make another account to try and get around your suspension. This is called ban evasion and will get you bounced. (Again, read What to Do If You Are Suspended if you don't know what these words mean.)

Can someone help me understand why I was suspended? I don't really know what I did wrong, so I would appreciate it if someone explained it to me.

On that note, remember that we suspended you this time because of a smattering of issues. Do you have any questions about the various Administrivia? If you are suspended again for general wiki sloppiness, you may not get another chance to edit the wiki.

Can you give us some examples of concrete changes in behavior we might expect from you (i.e. how can we tell your attempts at being less biased are working)? We are asking because this is your second suspension for NRLEP-related overzealousness in less than one year. A third may net you a more permanent block from the project forum.

Now that we have gotten this resolution from you, is there anything else about wiki rules you would like to clarify? You are on your third wiki suspension in less than a year. The only reason we are offering you another chance is that these are all for separate issues. If you are suspended again from the wiki, or if this rudeness manifests again elsewhere, the resulting suspension will likely be indefinite if not permanent.

Yes, we don't allow users to redo their edits as you did here without agreement from other users. An Edit Reason trying to argue your case doesn't absolve you of Edit Warring. The next time you disagree with a change or removal to your edits, what does Edit War say you should do?

...I can report users who I get into conflict with so it doesn't develop. I should also not be aggressive. Also, my examples should have context so that they can be understood by everyone. Anything not fitting into main pages is "sub wiki" content. If an example is Square Peg, Round Trope then it should be corrected. I should also not act with haste and think about a contribution before adding it.
Is that enough?

I will consider cleanup before crownering on all occasions. I will recommend more tropes for No Recent Examples Please. If anyone disagrees with a trope being on the crowner, I won't add it. I will acknowledge that NRLEP crowner decisions are not set in stone.
For instance, someone just suggested Sexy Sax Man for the crowner, and as soon as I am able too I'm going to tell them to just cut the section and move on, since the RL section is short, and we'll see how it's faring in a few months (if it continues to receive poor examples, then we might reconsider.)
Also, re: the Dead Person Impersonation commenting out, I apologize for that, I was under the impression that the examples I commented out were ZCE's.

If I disagree with a change, I can either take it to the discussion page, DM the disagreeing troper and talk it out, ask the community, or use one of the forums. I understand what happened, acknowledge my mistake, and will endeavor to improve and prevent such a thing from occurring again.

You keep trying to add entries for Jerkass Has a Point and Jerk with a Heart of Gold [1] [2] even though these are being contested by other tropers. This is what we call an Edit War. Trying to argue your case for readdition/reremoval in the Edit Reason isn't enough — if an entry of yours is changed or removed, you need to get the okay from other tropers to add it back. Where on this website does Edit War say you can discuss contested examples?
@Synchronicity Ah, You're referring to when I changed Base-Breaking Character into plural and shadowblack undid my edit (and also explained why) twice, I admit that I didn't notice that until the second time they did it, I didn't mean to start an edit war with anyone, and next time I will be more careful and pay more attention to both the website's rules and other tropers' edits and reasons.

Hello! I hope you are doing well. Like I said before, I have been pretty active ever since my suspension, especially on the TLP. I have been using my time to try to give advice to other tropers and try to help others in any way that I can. You said that I can re-appeal whenever I want, so, you know what, I'll give it a shot. I would like to re-appeal now if it is okay with you. You have already said that my reflection has been noted, but I will give you more just to be sure. I was previously suspended because I got way too emotional about certain topics, acting as though this site is a be-all-end-all of sorts, and getting upset when people told me that my actions were wrong. I have been treating this site like Serious Business, even though that is a very wrong approach. This is a wiki. We are Doing It for the Art. It's not supposed to be that serious. If I am to continue editing, I am to do so to try to add new details to stories or general opinions. Personal opinions are to be discussed on forums or Wild Mass Guessing. I hope this is a satisfactory answer. I am deeply sorry for all of the trouble that I have caused in the past, and I will make sure to think before I post when it comes to personal matters. I was suspended for "edit warring" by adding Hugo to https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LGBTRepresentationInMedia after he was removed for not being a main character or recurring. But he's BOTH those things, so that matter should have been settled. Why is that considered a war? He didn't even PM me to ask to confirm if Hugo is a main character or not.
