I actually was a Genesis kid then, but that was the only Sega hardware I ever owned. Later consoles were primarily published by Nintendo and Sony. (I did say that last part correctly, right?)

Anyone heard of this game called Harold Halibut? It looks like claymation but it's also a video game! It's like you asked the Anomalisa crew to do a game set in a space station stranded in an underwater planet!

Insane what claybuilding and handpainting and 3D scanning can do, right?

Gregory Horror Show is trying to make a Kickstarter comeback for movies and games.

I just finished "The City That Never Sleeps" DLC for Spider-Man (PS4), now I'm moving on to Spider-Man: Miles Morales, then I'll be set for Spider-Man 2 when I get a PS5 for my birthday this year.

And yes...I even caught Screwball once and for all.

I recently learned that The Exit 8 is getting a sequel called Platform 8. I had a lot of fun with the first game, so I'm definitely curious to see what Platform 8 does.

Is there an Arkham Series forum somewhere?

So having played the Arkham Trilogy on Switch, I gotta say: I had a lot of fun playing them (and Knight to a smaller extent) and sure am glad that a game called Kill the Justice League, where you have to kill Arkham Batman doesn't exist whatsoever.

I was thinking of becoming a professional voice actor, with the sole goal of getting to voice Ganondorf in a future Zelda game. Not a fan project, an actual game from Nintendo.

But…then I abandoned that dream.

If I may ask, was Ganondorf the only thing that drew you to voice acting? Did you try it, and if so, how did you find it?

...to be honest, I was half-joking, I found out voice acting is not only really hard, but even if I achieve the same level of success as people like Jim Cummings and Tress Macneille, there is NO way Nintendo would hire a disabled guy like me to voice one of their iconic villains, even with Chris Pratt and Seth Rogen voicing Mario and Donkey Kong respectively for the Mario movie.

Besides, they'd probably make me voice a character I hate.

This is likely true, indeed. But did you enjoy it at all?

I'm not sure of why that might be. After all, it's pretty much the voice that's important.

I don't speak with authority on this, but I don't think that they can make one voice any character—I imagine that you can turn down parts.

I only want to voice characters who aren't a Cosmic Plaything like Timmy Turner or Pit.

Try finding an indie game that's looking for voice actors. Start small; then once you get a role, try getting other work in indie games until you get a big enough reference sheet that a company might consider hiring you.

I just bought Fallout 4 for the PS4.

Please, PLEASE don't make fun of me for playing it, okay?

Microsoft might be testing the waters to see if people would like a handheld Xbox

If you look at the list of best-selling game consoles, the Xbox Series X/S only sold about 21 million since 2020, which is awful. It's possible that Microsoft is trying a different tactic to compete against Nintendo and Sony and find a place for themselves.

I find it interesting that Microsoft previously said "we can't out-console Sony and Nintendo" when previously, they sold 84 million units of the Xbox 360. I think if they figured out how, they could bounce back and create stronger competition for the other two companies (and Valve moving in with Steam Deck), and it looks like they're not giving up. The colossal number of questions they're asking in the survey about handheld gaming says a lot.

Jesus, League of Legends reputation is plummeting like a bird shot by an arrow after Vanguard controversy blew up in intense fashion. Lovely. A game that bricks your system on an environment that is 100x less secure than a mobile phone/tablet that you get your waifu JPEG games fix from.

I just now found out there exists a multiplayer Tom & Jerry gacha made in China, and not only is it apparently 5+ years old but it's popular enough to be treated as an e-sport with full commentated tournaments, and it's filled with character skins like these.

Yeah, I've heard of that before. The art and costumes go so hard for the Tom and Jerry IP of all things.

Isn't it also available in Japan? I thought that was the case as well.

As a fan of Tom and Jerry from watching their shows on Cartoon Network, I never expected to see them in a gacha game(Tom and Jerry in regular video games is normal but not a Chinese gacha game).
