Honestly most of the Star Trek pages could do with actual posters.
Either way to OP

Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectThe Star Trek cast images were restored as part of a big unilateral work page change spree last year (don't really have the brainspace to find the specific posts).
Ouch. I still leave my propsal up. I think some of the ones that person changed them too were unofficial stuff. I'm on the hunt at least for stuff thats at least come from Paramount/CBS or one of the companies they've contracted for home release box / streaming platform release art over the years.
So for TNG and DS9 how about these? They are both from official licensed posters:
TNG:

DS9:

The Official Star Trek site have even promoted their license with this company here: https://intl.startrek.com/article/first-look-bye-bye-robot-unveils-new-trek-posters
Unfortunately official DVD and VHS covers either seem to be boring or have something that would make the crop difficult (I spent so much time on Memory Alpha the Star Trek Wiki this afternoon).
I did try looking at digital releases and they're usually pretty meh too, the Netfix UK TNG one is okay:
But their DS9 one is.... actually kind of hilarious to me, but as a as a Trekkie as it's for some reason "Miles O'Brien is mildly annoyed about something"... which... bless him is how he spends most of DS9 but seems not the best summation of the entire series.
FYI I'm not seriously suggesting the Miles one but I thought other fans might find this funny.
EDIT: I've moved TNG to it's own [[thread: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=16906289050.02308300&page=1#1]]. I'll wait for the forum to clear a bit before posting the DS 9 though because I don't wanna be a forum hog.

I think it's best to just focus this thread on Star Trek TOS for now. Other threads can be made for Star Trek TNG and Star Trek DS9 when slots open up.
Anyways, to 3.

See I was trying not to flood the subforum with threads.
I get that mentality, as I made threads like that too for the sake of not cluttering up the subforums and whatnot, but at the same time, these threads are meant to only cover a single work, not multiple works.
It's not necessarily a hard rule or requirement (as we did have threads that cover multiple works), but it's recommended to keep it centered around a singular work for the sake of keeping things focused, as when you start introducing multiple works (especially at this point), it muddies up the thread and becomes difficult to focus on which images and which pages should get attention, which only makes things harder for others users and the mods.
I ended up learning that the hard way via some of my previous IP threads.

3 is in and tagged on the Series/ page, and the old pic (below) is on the Characters/ page.
Locking up
Current looks more like an upgraded quality version of it should go on the character's page.
I'd like to suggest this which I think has a nice painterly style and doing some digging it's from the 1991 collectors edition VHS covers so it's official:
Might see if I can find a quality upgrade though.
