The biggest problem to me is the trope name, which is a classic case of Trope-Namer Syndrome, over anything to do with the pic.
I'd like to apologize for all this.Agreed. I vote to table this until TRS can come up with a new name.
We might have to wait for about 60 threads before that'll happen though.
I don't know about that. The image is un-illustrative, bad trope namer title or not. Also, we would have to prove that the name is harming the trope in TRS and there's no guarantee that the wick check will show evidence of that.
Macron's notesWhat about citing a deprecated naming convention? Doesn't that bypass the need for a wick check?
I'd like to apologize for all this.I agree the image should be replaced.
We don't usually do that unless the name is causing misuse.
The current pic is indeed unillustrative though. It shows an officer yelling at another, but without context it just looks like Drill Sergeant Nasty. I wouldn't mind it gone.

Well, this is not really the place to discuss a wick check but just because a trope is named for a character doesn't immediately mean it's hurting the trope, and a wick check would help your case. There are a lot of tropes still named for characters (eg. The Cassandra, A-Team Firing, Jacob Marley Apparel...) and we're not actively trying to get rid of them unless they're demonstrably underperforming or being misused in some way. For example, McLeaned was initially just given a couple of good redirects before the wick check also showed some misuse, so a case was made for a clearer name.
Back to the image, pull. I see a yelling officer, but The Neidermeyer is specifically unstable and disrespected and not just Drill Sergeant Nasty.

I agree the name is bad, but I think the image shows the gist of the trope (unstable Bad Boss military officer), so Keep Until Better Image Suggested. Anybody have other ideas?
Keet cleanupPull. It being the Trope Namer actually hurts the page.
Clock is set
Pull. Out of context, the trope distinction isn’t clear.
I'll play devil's advocate for the pic. He's clearly screaming with No Sense of Personal Space and he's wearing a military uniform. He is the trope namer but I'd say Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
And without context, how are people supposed to tell he's an example of this trope and not just a Drill Sergeant Nasty?

I don't think that's a big deal. Plenty of page images could be mistaken for a similar trope out of context.
Keet cleanupI think the thing that helps sell it (at least for me) is the combo of the caption and that chrome helmet. It might be a legitimate military helmet, but it looks ridiculous in the context of the scene and that helps get across his being a jerk.
Shutting off the clock and hooking a crowner to make this official.
Crown Description:
I have no idea how this illustrates the trope.
Why waste time when you can see the last sunset last?
