The cases may be similar, but they're still separate tropes. The Wiki Tropes thread was another batch thread that evaluated each page separately, despite some of those also being similar cases to each other (especially since a lot of those weren't thriving either), especially since some of them ended up being reclassified as Administrivia pages instead of tropes, particularly the ones that were already specific to TV Tropes instead of wikis in general.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. It's looking like the favoured option is to merge the various camera tricks into folders on Main.Camera Tricks.
If that ends up being the final result, can we keep all the individual images? I know pages aren't normally allowed more than one image, but the images are really good at illustrating the individual techniques, and it would be a shame to lose them all.
Ukrainian Red CrossI'd support this for illustrating imagery-related Internal Subtrope's, because a captioned collage wouldn't work out, but this would be quite an exception.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI don't think that would be allowed, but I think you'd get a better answer from Image Pickin, since I don't post on IP very often (generally Willbyr and Synchronicity are the ones who moderate it, so they'd probably be able to provide more insight than I can).
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. There's no set rules on things like that and some pages do have multiple images as an exception (although usually not in the way described above) so I'll just bring the topic up to the general IP thread
Macron's notesI've remembered that Three Cameras was brought up before for lacking the example list, but it has 13 work wicks. It's not in the OP, but feel it needs a look as well.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupCalling in favor of the following:
- Merge Camera Chase into a folder on the main Camera Tricks page
- Merge Framed Subject into a folder on the main Camera Tricks page
- Merge Pedestal into a folder on the main Camera Tricks page
- Merge Split Diopter into a folder on the main Camera Tricks page
- Merge Head Cam into a folder on the main Camera Tricks page
- Make Dolly a Definition-Only Page
I'll hook a crowner for the remaining five pages after I take care of these.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. Those pages have been dewicked and the second and final crowner is up.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Transition Track is an audio trope, I don't think it fits at Camera Tricks?
I think Visual Novel Shot is a specific form of P.O.V. Cam, so I'd discuss if it can be merged with that instead or sent to TLP for examples if it's tropeworthy on its own.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI added an option for merging Visual Novel Shot with P.O.V. Cam.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Should we call? It's been 3 days.
TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallCalling crowner in favor of the following:
- Merge Wet-for-Dry into a folder on the main Camera Tricks page.
- Merge Split Edit into a folder on the main Camera Tricks page.
- Merge Visual Novel Shot with P.O.V. Cam.
- Make Cucoloris definition-only.
- Make Transition Track definition-only
I redirected and dewicked the first three and made the last two definition-only. I haven't touched the wicks of the last two yet.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Everything's done, so closing.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.
Crown Description:
Some Camera Tricks tropes aren't thriving. What should be done with these specific tropes? Each trope has a separate set of options; a page can be both Trivia and Definition Only, but merging with another page is mutually exclusive with both of those.
Do we really need a separate entry for each subpage on the crowner? This may make sense for other subject matters but here we have a bunch of very similar cases.
