To-do list:
- Move wicks for Tastes Like Diabetes that fit Sweetness Aversion (an Audience Reaction) or Sickeningly Sweet (an In-Universe Examples Only trope) and remove ones that don't.
A wick check originally made by Unicorndance (who gave me permission to use the wick check in a TRS thread via PMs) confirms this usage. (I also touched up the wick check a bit myself for the record.) Quick results:
- 6/50 examples, or 11.3%, were correct,
- 6/50 examples, or 11.3%, were both negative and incorrectly used,
- 21/50 examples or 39.6%, were In-Universe usage,
- 3/50 examples, or 5.7%, overlapped with Sweet Dreams Fuel,
- 3/50 examples, or 5.7%, were ZCEs, and
- 14 examples, or 35.8%, were unclear or had multiple issues.
Worth noting that the unclear examples usually overlapped with the other categories in one way or another.
My recommendation for this trope would be to rename Tastes Like Diabetes to a more descriptive name for the trope's concept, of which I currently have no ideas. The In-Universe usage could be moved to more applicable tropes, or even split off into a separate trope where applicable. Finally, the original name could be disambiguated.
What does everyone else think? Any other ideas as to how to save this trope?

I'm not surprised that there are bad examples on the subpages in addition to in the off-page examples. I haven't gone through the examples; I just moved them so they could be sorted through later.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Oh, OK.
online since 1993 | huge retrocomputing and TV nerd | lee4hmz.info (under construction) | heapershangout.comI have a question I noticed that Sweetness Aversion covers only entire works but what would we do with entries that cover only individual scenes since there are a few entries like that one I found is Game of Thrones S7E7: "The Dragon and the Wolf".
CM Sandboxes, MB SandboxesDelete them. This is for works that drive audiences away because of their sweetness- if only one scene is like that but the rest of the work does not drive audiences away, it does not fit.
One of these days, all of you will accept me as your supreme overlord.I see. I do feel like they should go somewhere though as this does feel like a valid reaction to trope.
CM Sandboxes, MB SandboxesSweet Dreams Fuel for the positively sweet stuff?
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Perhaps some new item could work that is like that for individual moments like it would be the Darth Wiki version of Sweet Dreams Fuel.
CM Sandboxes, MB SandboxesI began moving some on-page examples from Sweetness Aversion to Sickeningly Sweet.
^ Looking at the SweetnessAversion.Webcomics page, all examples are in need of moving. Looks like a bigger task.

Under 2000 wicks!
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I cleaned up SweetnessAversion.Music, removing a bunch of examples that treated the cuteness as a positive, as well as an ENORMOUS quantity of Zero-Context Examples. Even then, I feel like a lot of what's left over is still lacking in context, it's only good by comparison to most of the rest of the page.
I added a to-do list to the opening post and pinned it. The OP's original contents have been moved to a folder.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. Now that Blinding Bangs is done, I shall focus on getting this project out of the way.
Macron's notesSo, Sweetness Aversion's on page examples were never cleaned and were brought up on ATT here. Most of the example are written badly and it's not easy to find example that explain how a work's saccharine nature helped generate negative attention. I don't know if anything on the main page counts and I think all of the subpages have to be cut after cleanup is done due to the high misuse count.
Macron's notesI think I previously mentioned that I didn't go through on-page examples when I split the page and moved the subpages, unless I'm thinking of a different split. Either way, I updated the header to say to remove misuse from Sweetness Aversion in addition to moving in-universe examples to Sickeningly Sweet.
Edit: Oh, I mentioned it on this page. I'm a bit fuzzy-headed from having a cold for most of the month, so I overlooked that.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I didn't notice that post. I was mostly concerned that would be almost nothing left after the pages were scrubbed. Oh well, TLP and reverse crosswicking.
I already cut the anime and manga subpage. So going to look through the others.

Macron's notesI just noticed I forgot to tag the pages when this thread was made, so I'll fix that, since it's probably why the ATT query was made instead of discussion being brought here.
Edit: The pages are tagged, and I locked the query and directed the conversation here.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass. The page is clean now. I cleaned the main page, moved the few good examples from the subpages, and then cut the remaining subpages. Now there's 12 examples on the page. I'll try crosswick the wicks to the main page.
I also updated the to-do-list.

Macron's notesUnder 1000
Macron's notesDown 595. Only the YMMV section remains. I have had to delete most of the wicks for either being low context or just a descriptions of how sweet the work is.

Macron's notesUnder 100. Almost done! I am going to take break now though. I'll come back to finish the rest if someone doesn't beat me to it.
Macron's notes
Crown Description:
Tastes Like Diabetes is being split between an Audience Reaction and an IUEO trope. What should the In Universe Examples Only trope's name be?
I also noticed there's quite a few ZCEs and Weblinks Are Not Examples in at least the Advertising subpage.
