Opened. I think Sexualized Spectacles and Fetishized Frames both sound good, though I prefer the former.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I swear this came up in the Meganekko thread? Or am I hallucinating that.
E: I too, agree that Sexualized Spectacles is the better of the two suggestions.

CSP Cleanup Thread | All that I ask for ... is diamonds and dance floorsIt was mentioned there, but not discussed in-depth.
Name idea works.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIt did. We were going to tackle Sexy Spectacles on that thread buut the rename option for it did not get consensus for a rename.

Macron's notesIt did (the discussion there is what got me to make the wick check in the first place), but got no consensus to do anything when it was on Meganekko crowner. The mods said it was okay to bring it in on its own thread.

To be fair, Sexy Spectacles was kind of a footnote in Meganekko's thread. Having a dedicated thread for it would make the process smoother.
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.I prefer Sexualizing Spectacles to not make is sound like the glasses themselves are meant to be attractive.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupHooked a rename crowner because while discussion kind of died off, it was all headed in a single direction (toward renaming).

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Sexualized Spectacles is good, albeit a bit too technical-sounding (but I guess that works for this trope). Hell, even Spectacles Are Sexy might be an improvement, as it refers more clearly to the phenomenon rather than the glasses themselves.
There's also Sexy People Wear Glasses, a snowclone of Smart People Wear Glasses, but that might not be clear.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Calling in favor of renaming Sexy Spectacles. I'll hook a rename crowner shortly
Macron's notesThink the Glasses/Spectacles/Frame wording can be cloned interchangebly between each option?
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIs it too late to suggest Glasses Are Sexy for the crowner?
Old Enough to Be Your Absurdly Youthful MotherNo, it was just made so you are free to add that title as a suggestion
Macron's notesGreat, I’ve added it now.
Old Enough to Be Your Absurdly Youthful MotherAm I late to suggest "Everything is Sexier with Glasses"?.
It's relatively early, so add it.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupOops, didn't notice somebody else had already added my idea and repeated it. Is there a way to eliminate it?.
Edit it to a [ignore this], if you've added it, it should have an edit button.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThanks, done.
I feel like "Sexy People Wear Glasses" is just..renaming the trope to fit the misuse.
Yeah, I can't imagine naming it that would do anything to stop people from thinking it's for every attractive person who wears glasses
Calling in favor of Glasses Are Sexy. Sexualized Spectacles and Sexualizing Spectacles will be redirects.
Edit: Discussion page post, Renamed Tropes thread and page taken care of, and move and redirects taken care of.
264 wicks to take care of.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Updated the Renamed Tropes section of Trope Epitaph to reflect the rename of Sexy Spectacles to Glasses Are Sexy.
I'll be over on DeviantArt if you need me.I've cleaned the wicks and removed the 'an attractive character who happens to wear glasses' examples from the page itself. Anything else we need to do?
Crown Description:
What should we rename Sexy Spectacles to?
Sexy Spectacles has a serious misuse issue: though it's supposed to describe characters in-universe being attracted to someone because of their glasses or the work itself playing up how attractive the glasses make that character, in practice it's used as "attractive character who wears glasses".
Results of the wick check:
I think that a fix would be to rename it so that it's clearer that the trope is about how the work presents the glasses, not how the audience feels about them. Sexualized Spectacles or Fetisized Frames are my suggestions.
