Poor Image: Appearance Is In The Eye Of The Beholder

The current image was added into the page without any prior discussion. The image itself is really long in comparison to the trope description and the subtitles are somewhat hard to read. Wanted to see if people have better suggestions for the page image.

For clarity’s sake, you technically don’t need permission to upload an image to an imageless page (unless it has had a prior IP thread).

Anyways, I am for pulling the image. It doesn’t make any sense to me and the captions (ignoring the readability issues) do not help the image at all.

In addition to being clunky and hard to read, it...doesn't seem like an example? The trope is supernatural, not "take your hood off for someone you're comfortable around". Pull.

It better show Xion with different crowds explaining how her face is different every time. Which is not the current.

I wanted to suggest the "god / superhero" scene from Marville, but the image turns out pretty bad at wiki-size:

I think this needs something explicit in the vein of Empathic Shapeshifter, tbh.

As bad as Marville is, that's a good illustration, but yeah, better quality would be nice.

Pull the current regardless of replacement; it's page quote territory and hard to read to boot.

I don't think this suggestion works without context. All I see is a character that changes appearance, but they could do it for any number of reasons. I think 7 is somewhat clearer.

IMO 13 is clearer than 7 on the fact that they are viewing the same character due to the shared glowy outfit; 13 looks like two people being shown two different guys. Both would probably need a good caption.

Neither image conveys the trope well.

I think that's the clearest so far.

I know another example from The Doraemons manga, but I don't have the book with me right now and the chapter is not available online so *shrugs*
