Welp, it's that time again- I've had an idea for an RP that won't leave me alone, so I'm here to present it to the rest of the troping world. In this case, it's probably not going to be an RP that I'll run indefinitely, as I'd still like to tend to my current game. If this game gets popular enough to last a while, I might pass on the torch eventually. Still, I've wanted to do this plot basically since Justice Avengers, and I've cooked up a bunch of ideas already, so I'll do the honours of setting her out to sea.

So, with no more preamble, what's the big idea? First off, this is going to be a massively multi-fandom crossover game (yes, yet another one) but the twist? Instead of taking characters from countless franchises out of their universes and into a little jamjar of a city to bounce off of, they're all going into different universes...as every one of them starts to collide! For you see, this is the story of the death of a multiverse.

____________________________________________

For aeons, countless versions of the universe have lived separate and in balance. But then one day, the skies went from blue to violet, and from violet to red. Almost immediately, things started appearing from nowhere, and disappearing just as randomly. To begin with, they were microscopic items, things hardly anyone would notice. But as minutes and hours went by, the little things got bigger and bigger. Your pencil could vanish right out of your hand, while a small dog appeared in the room behind you, while across the street a raygun would fall on someone's head, and a demonic bat creature would crash through your neighbour's window. Always the same way: a buzzing sound, followed by a flickering red silhouette, until POP, a burst of air, and something strange was now before you. Most times it would stay there, though sometimes...it would topple over, in terrible pain, as the red light formed around it again, and suddenly, the whole thing would fizzle away and vanish, as if it were never even there...

And now, one day after the strange event began, objects and organisms the size of the average human can appear. Beings of science and magic from across time and space are being shunted into the unfamiliar, not all of them adjusting well. Populations are starting to panic. Reports are coming in of even stranger events- electrical bursts creating HOLES in the air, forming doorways to places scarcely imagined. Questions hang in the air: Why is this happening? When will it stop? How long before something really big comes through...and how would anyone survive?

____________________________________________

So, with that preamble, a few specifics for how this could potentially work. First off, characters from established franchises are encouraged, but given the reality-crossing nature of this game, AU versions of said characters may be permitted. It may even be possible to bring in OC's, though they ought to be substantially rooted in another franchise, i.e. a Dn D character displaying all the main traits they'd have in their pen-and-paper sheets.

Characters will enter the current setting the same way they might for any other crossover game, by literally poofing in out of thin air as they're snatched from their home reality. You may have noticed the bit about them dissipating again in the preamble above. Basically, this is a way to take the old problem of players abruptly leaving, taking their characters with them, and making it more diagetic. They, and quite possibly their reality, are being wiped from the face of existence as the crisis continues. Why do the characters vanish? Are they shunted into some limbo or literally dissolved in body and soul? No one knows for sure... but if the player returns, then their character could reappear just as easily! Just reverse-fizzle them to appear wherever the action is, and pick things up from there.

As for the setting...we'll be starting off in a version of earth that's close enough to our own, but under certain circumstances, it could be possible to open up a rift across space and time, creating a permanent portal to a completely different setting. Perhaps a different time period or timeline to our own world. Perhaps the worlds of our very characters. Perhaps even a completely new setting dreamt up on the fly. But beware- this world may not last for long.

Speaking of, the matter of time. In most games, a timeskip is a fairly routine matter: just say that time has passed for these characters and move on. But here, it's past midnight on the doomsday clock, and the multiverse is on borrowed time as it is, and with each bit of time that passes, the objects pulled through as the incursions get bigger and bigger. Whenever a timeskip is made in this game, the players should be aware that something bigger than before can appear now, along with worse potential threats to the universe they're in.

Other than all that, the same rules apply as in any game: be sensible with your power levels, remember common courtesy towards your fellow players, and don't confuse importance between the game and real life.

The stage is set, and the multiverse moves ever closer to ultimate destruction. Will you be an explorer, travelling to discover the dimensions before they're lost forever...a hero, defending the worlds raging against the dying light to your final breath...a destroyer, revelling in the raging firestorm of reality and even encouraging the end times...or simply a survivor, struggling to hold onto what's yours for however long you've got left? Whatever happens now, three things alone are certain. Worlds will live, worlds will die, and nothing will ever be the same again.

Hopefully Aichi will be OK!

Name: Aichi Sendou

Age: 16

Appearance:

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/char_popup_b01.jpg

Species: Human

Reality of Origin: Cardfight!! Vanguard (V Series)

Personality: Aichi is a kindhearted and somewhat shy boy that loves Cardfight!! Vanguard. He's very imaginative and cares about others, always putting them before himself. Although he often prefers to avoid conflict, when push comes to shove, he has the courage to do what's right and he won't give up when things are coming down. He also likes to see the best in others.

All in all, Aichi is a good guy that lives his life doing what he loves, playing Vanguard.

Skills: Cardfighting

Powers and Abilities:

PSY Qualia: A strange ability that allows him to predict what will happen in a cardfight, hear his units, and connect with fellow PSY Qualia users and see their memories in a mental world, potentially throw off brainwashing with the power and support of fellow PSY Qualia users (With downsides such as severe weakness until the source of the possession is dealt with), and vague foretelling dreams about threats looming upon the horizon (They don't give a clear picture and he doesn't necessarily understand it).

Equipment: His Vanguard deck, his student ID, his wallet with cash.

Backstory: A young boy that loves the card game, Cardfight!! Vanguard. Long ago, when he was just a child, he was bullied and all alone... but that all changed when one day he met a boy named Toshiki Kai. Kai wasn't like the other kids that bullied him relentlessly. He was a kind-hearted, brave, and generous boy that inspired Aichi to believe in himself and introduced Aichi to Vanguard by giving Aichi a card called Blaster Blade. Although Aichi couldn't imagine himself strong like the warrior on the card at first, Kai told him that he would be able to in time. "Imagine it! Imagination will become your strength!"

From that moment on, Aichi's life changed. Suddenly, by working on his deck, all of the bad things in his life weren't quite as bad, and he had a small ray of light in his life. He wanted to see Kai again and thank him with a cardfight, but before he could, Kai vanished... moved away to someplace else. He feared he would never get the chance...

Fast forward years later, and one day Aichi's Blaster Blade is stolen by a classmate. Aichi, battered and bruised by said classmate, follows him to a card shop called Card Capital, where he finds that Blaster Blade was bet in a cardfight... which the student lost. Blaster Blade was won by a student from another school, and he begged for it back. Yet another student from the same school told him that what's decided in a cardfight is absolute among cardfighters. The card is now his friend's... so Aichi works up the nerve to ask for a cardfight.

Seeing Aichi's earnestness and determination, the second student accepts, taking his friend's newly earned Blaster Blade (Much to said friend's dismay!). They introduce themselves, and it turns out that this boy... is Toshiki Kai!

Kai teaches Aichi the rules of Vanguard, and through the cardfight, Aichi realizes that this is indeed the boy that he met long ago... but something has changed. This Kai doesn't have the same smile. He doesn't let himself show that he still enjoys Vanguard. Aichi tries to reach out to him, but he bites back, denying that he enjoys the game... but even so, Aichi manages to reach out to him.

Aichi wins the fight, getting his Blaster Blade back, and the two manage to become friends.

From there, Aichi makes more friends as he becomes a regular at Card Capital, he has to deal with a gang of cardfighting thugs called Foo Fighter that is run by a mysterious boy named Ren Suzugamori... This gang uses electric gloves that shock the players when they receive damage in an attempt to enforce "serious fights" on the players.

Over the course of this time facing Foo Fighter, Aichi developed a strange power called PSY Qualia, a phenomenon only occurring in the chosen few that allows them to bond with their Vanguard and allows them to feel the pain their Vanguard feels. This led to him and Ren actually meeting...

It turns out that Ren and Kai have history together, and that Ren longed to defeat Kai, similar to, but also very differently from, Aichi. Upon learning that Aichi defeated Kai, he claims to be very intrigued with Aichi...

Eventually Ren, Aichi, and Kai all meet up at Foo Fighter's headquarters, and Ren faces Kai in a fight like he finally wanted. He defeats Kai, and... he feels dissatisfied because Aichi already defeated him, soiling Kai's record of having never been defeated.

He takes this out on Aichi, challenging the already worn out Aichi to a cardfight, which Aichi accepts. The two PSY Qualia users finally meet in battle... a destined match.

Aichi reaches out to Ren through their PSY Qualia, allowing Ren to overcome his insecurities and the things holding his own enjoyment of Vanguard back, and allowing them to become friends as he defeats him in battle.

After this, Aichi becomes the Asia Circuit champion, becomes a high school student, and starts up the Cardfight Club! He gathers up five members: Kourin Tatsunagi, a mysterious transfer student idol that seems to be watching Aichi closely, Naoki Ishida, a thug-like student that didn't stop to help Aichi when he was bullied back when they were kids, Shingo Komoi, a bespectacled student that considers Aichi his "idol", and Misaki Tokura, a close friend of Aichi's that works at Card Capital.

Together they all have fun at the Cardfight Club, although darkness looms among the horizon... There is an evil force manipulating one Kouji Ibuki, who wields a deck of Deletors, cards that can sever the link between a cardfighter and their Vanguard. This makes them lose all passion and heart for the game, and makes them lose their link to Planet Cray.

Kourin Tatsunagi, as well as her two adoptive idol sisters Suiko and Rekka, were sent to watch the known PSY Qualia users as well as to keep an eye out for anything suspicious. Ibuki has piqued Takuto's curiosity, and as such, Takuto personally interacts with him, wanting to know about the Deletors. This leads to him getting possessed by the Destiny Conductor, who desires to control all of the PSY Qualia users and lead the Deletors to take over Planet Cray.

So he sends the idol sisters, who are now under his influence, to turn cardfighters into PSY Qualia Zombies, as they are called. PSY Qualia Zombies gain the powers of PSY Qualia, and once they defeat an opponent, they, too, because a PSY Qualia Zombie. If they are defeated, they return to normal with no memory of what happened.

Eventually this culminates in an entire mess of Aichi becoming a PSY Qualia Zombie, which is exactly what the Destiny Conductor wanted. However, much to the Destiny Conductor's dismay, Aichi fought against his control when he saw Ibuki, who egged him on. Ibuki cockily told Aichi that he Deleted Kai, and that was enough to make Aichi enraged.

Aichi faced Ibuki and barely won, even after being Deleted. It was a miracle granted by his bond with his units. He then faced the Destiny Conductor, and managed to not only defeat the Destiny Conductor, but accepted the Destiny Conductor with open arms, realizing that they and the Deletors were truly just wanderers that were all alone, wanting a place to call home.

However, all of this would be forgotten because none of it was meant to happen. The path of destiny had been skewed, and eventually this would all be forgotten...

So the Cardfight Club agreed to meet at the Vanguard Koshien, a tournament they had been planning to participate at. They would all meet there, somehow. They would.

One day the Cardfight Club met, minus Kourin, at the club room. No one remembered she was supposed to be there. The club was still a thing, but they were somehow missing one member. This led to the Student Council President trying to shut them down.

Naturally they couldn't accept that, and they had to fight to get the club accepted. This led to a competition between the Student Council (Plus an occult-obsessed dude that wanted their clubroom) and the Cardfight Club where they would all cardfight to see who wins. Naturally the Cardfight Club won.

This lead to them having enough members, as the deal was that the Student Council and the occult guy would join the Cardfight Club if they lost.

So they all got to go to the Koshien, and they managed to make it all the way to the finals and won! That's when they finally got to meet Kourin again, and she unofficially joined the club as well, once more.

Finally the club was all together again, and all was well.

Because I'm legitimately too shot for ideas :P

  • Name: Hinata Hyūga
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: Approx. 5'3" tall. Despite her typically baggy choice in clothing, Hinata is in actuality incredibly well-built and athletic due to her intensive ninja training, though her sense of modesty usually means she covers it up rather than flaunt it. Typically meek and shy in demeanour; fiddling with her fingers and easily blushing from the slightest embarrassment or compliment. Though most often appearing gentle and nonthreatening, when her Byakugan is activated she can become quite fearsome—her normally blank white eyes bulging out from her skull and gaining superjacent outlines of irises in their centres.
  • Species: Humannote
  • Reality of Origin: Naruto
  • Personality: A gentle, kindhearted, yet extremely shy and self-conscious individual. Due to her upbringing and the extreme pressures put on her from a very young age, Hinata has grown up with little to no confidence in herself and (at the very least) a strong sense of politeness towards others—and even though the ninja lifestyle constantly threatens to make one cynical, she still manages to be unrelentingly kind towards people even if it ends up being at a detriment to herself. Disliking violence and confrontation (she even hates being confrontational about how she dislikes confrontation), Hinata is hesitant when it comes to the idea of hurting others even in self-defense, and this is reflected in her poor form that only seems to solidify in truly dire circumstances. While her overwhelming kindness has rendered her own opinions obsolete to herself, it has ended up making Hinata more perceptive of things—and she certainly shows much room to grow.
  • Skills:
    • Taijutsu: Assisted by her Byakugan, Hinata is proficient in her family's combat style known as the Gentle Fist—a manner of fighting focused on rapid and precise (though as the name would suggest, not necessarily powerful) strikes to specific points in the body in order to forcibly inject damaging amounts of chakra into the opponent of the Hyūga in question. Even with the force of a gentle tap Hinata can cause internal ruptures to her enemy's organs and blood vessels, and if they happen to have chakra pathways as an addition she can forcefully clog them up and render them unable to gather chakra for the duration of a battle. Hinata's combat skills are still being refined, but they are more than enough to take down moderately adept opponents—those more proficient or wiser in combat themselves may however spot some slight sloppiness in her manoeuvres and stance (primarily due to a lack of confidence on her part). Despite the somewhat ironic naming convention, the Gentle Fist is arguably one of the most dangerous combat styles in her home universe, though whether that is still true outside of it remains to be seen.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Chakra Moulding: Utilizing the natural energies produced by her body's chakra systems, Hinata can bolster her attacks and physical abilities by directing and forming her chakra either into or outside specific points of her body. It is this innate energy that she can so lethally inject into her opponents, though she has only a limited amount at any given time, as it is intrinsically tied to her stamina and overall life force (this can regenerate with sufficient rest or with ingestion of a soldier pill). It is also with chakra that she can activate her family's bloodline ability—pushing the energy up to her eyes so as to bolster their capabilities as Byakugan. Additionally, she can infuse chakra into the soles of her feet so as to scale walls or uneven surfaces (including water) as easily as one walks down the street. Due to her focus on developing her family's style, Hinata only knows a limited amount of jutsu, including the three mandatory ninjutsu required to pass the Academy tests: illusory cloning (to a maximum of two intangible duplicates), physical transformation (into the shape of any object/person she has observed in detail enough to copy from memory) and body replacement (rapidly swapping places with a nearby object to avoid injury). Hinata's fairly limited chakra and relative inexperience with using these techniques means she burns out extremely quickly after using them, however, and once her chakra is dried up it renders her taijutsu much less effective.
    • Byakugan: The bloodline ability of the Hyūga, which allows them to access nigh-360 degree vision (barring a single degree on the back of their neck—which broadens considerably into a large cone at a distance), the ability to focus through solid walls (which also renders blinding effects ineffective), the ability to magnify tremendously on distant targets (up to a maximum of 50 metres in a radius, in Hinata's case), and even prove useful in reading the moves of their opponents (albeit with absolute concentration on their body—any distractions can completely throw off her flow). Hinata can also perceive the internals structures within her opponents using this bloodline ability, which is how the Hyūga target pressure points in the first place—that along with chakra and other similarly spiritual energies. Hinata is still refining her skills with the Byakugan, and excessive use of it may fatigue her tremendously—by Hyūga standards, she's still rather lacking in ability with it. Regardless, her enhanced perception is incredibly useful for scouting, tracking, and even in fighting, so the Byakugan's reputation isn't exactly being tarnished with her very existence, at the very least.
  • Equipment:
    • Ninja Gear: As precaution, Hinata carries several hidden pouches on her person, containing tools meant for general survival: such as compact medical kits, dried or sealed meals and protein sticks, her own homemade healing ointment (which can rapidly rejuvenate flesh wounds in only a few minutes when rubbed into the skin) and a handful of military ration pills—which when ingested enable a ninja to continue without rest for three days and three nights straight (although at the cost of them being immediately hit with tremendous and proportionate exhaustion by the time the effects wear off). Hinata also carries a multitude of kunai and shuriken to serve as either additional weapons or as distractions, as well as a few spools of flexible steel cable (ninja wire) for use in restraining tough opponents.
  • Backstory: Born to the prestigious Hyūga clan within the hidden ninja village of Konohagakure, Hinata was raised with a high expectation placed on her for a very young age—as the heiress of the main branch in the clan, she was effectively obligated to grow into a dignified and powerful warrior starting from as soon as she could stand upright. Unfortunately gentle by nature and despising conflict, she received strict treatment by her family and her father, who was determined to mould her into a strong and capable ninja despite her apparent weakness. Growing up meek and lacking in confidence as a result of this upbringing, Hinata eventually developed an admiration for a particular rowdy and infamous boy within her village—a certain Naruto Uzumaki, whose determination to follow his own path to success inspired her to do similar. Now 16 and having found the courage to fight through her pitiable state, Hinata has started to become strong enough to be more respectable as a Hyūga, and though her status as heiress has been sadly revoked in favour of her comparatively more adept sister Hanabi, she is still determined to follow through in her goals and forge her own ninja way.

Aware there might be some balancing issues in her abilities, but I'm hoping they can be chipped off through discussion if they're too much.

  • Name: Nathan Grenner
  • Age: 43
  • Appearance: Tall and skinny, unnaturally so with limbs that are more akin to twigs. That being said there is no doubt to how terrifying he can be.
  • Species: Human/Infected with 'Rotten Mana'
  • Reality of Origin: Webcomic: Suppression
  • Skills: Psychiatric knowledge, doctorate, fighting skills (feral), sharp mind and reasonable negotiator.
  • Powers and Abilities: Supernatural strength, speed, endurance. Ability to 'eat magic' to empower self. Impossible to mind control (not immune, but anything that touches his mind is not going to have fun). Demonic form.
  • Equipment: None.
  • Backstory: The head doctor in a large psychiatric facility until the entire city was suddenly covered in a strange 'mud' that spawned a near infinite number of monsters or simply absorbed people into it. He was one of those lost, a number of the monsters fusing together using his 'soul' as the glue that held them together. Despite the overwhelming amount of minds and power flooding into his soul he managed to maintain a sense of self strong enough to influence the body, even when thrown into a literal ocean of magic. It could be said that his control over his own mind is on a level that very little could actually break in without him wanting too.

Name: unknown

Codename: The joker

Age: Unknown

Appearance: Looks like a skinny clown with white skin and Green hair usually wears an elegant and extravagant purple suit.

Species: Human

Reality of Origin: Dc universe (rather than picking a specific version of the character I'm gonna do a composite from multiple versions of the dc universe)

Skills: Genius level intellect, ability to manipulate the sane and insane alike, skilled chemist and engineer, expert at escapology, experienced criminal tactician and leader, master of disguise, a good enough fighter to compete with the most skilled fighters in the world in his best days thanks to his unpredictable fighting style granted to him by his insanity, lethal marksman and knife fighter, capable of turning anything into a lethal weapon, from poker cards to a simple pencil, torture artist, good at stealth, a master at intimidation and fear-mongering, good enough at research and investigation to compete with the world's greatest detective, despite all this he's terrible at comedy despite being a clown.

Powers and Abilities: Immunity to poisons and toxins, impossibly high resistance, and pain tolerance (to the point that he even enjoys it), capable of healing faster than a normal man should, and capable of cheating death time and time again.

Equipment:

-Joker Venom: a deathly toxin that forces others into fits of laughter so intense that they die of suffocation while contorting their face into an ugly and terrifying smile.

-Regular weapons: knives, guns, and a flamethrower.

-Party favors: practical prank tools that he has turned into weapons, an electric joy buzzer that can go from merely a little shock to a lethal dose, a flower that shoots water and acid, a bunch of joker cards he uses as throwing weapons and a fake gun that shoots a bang flag instead of bullets which can still be shoot like a real weapon would shoot bullets.

-5-U-93-R: a Kryptonian drug that gives him super strength and durability.

-Crowbar: ask Jason Todd.

-Bombs: mainly dynamite and grenades.

(is this better?)

Backstory: Gotham city is one of the darkest and more crime-filled cities in the world, in it, there are some of the craziest, most evil, and weirdest villains from the entire universe, and between them, few can rival the clown prince of crime, the joker, he has constantly proven himself to be the ultimate foe to Batman, the dark knight, not only by being one of his oldest and most constant enemies but by being the one that has affected his life far more than any other, he has killed Jason Todd the second robin by beating him with a crowbar and then blowing him up, letting Barbara Gordon, Batgirl, paralyzed and unable to walk by shooting her in the spine, ruined his relationship with the bat family after kidnapping and torturing each and one of them, corrupted his friend Harvey dent into becoming Two-face and mutated another of his friends, Ethan bennet, into Clayface, all of this in the hopes of breaking the bat's spirit and making him see the world for the sick joke that it's and to trick him into breaking his one rule by provoking him into killing him.

But before all this, who was he? a failed comedian that loses his wife before turning to a life of crime? Batman's half brother that was abandoned for being an illegitimate child? a master criminal named Red Hood? nobody really knows, not even him, if he's gonna have a past he prefers it to be multiple choice, the only thing we know for sure is that he at one point attempted to rob a chemical plant while dressed in a red and black outfit and while being pursued by Batman he fell into a vat of acid that deformed him into a clownish appearance with extremely pale white skin and green hair and since then he has been responsible for every crime imaginable from simple vandalism to straight-up genocide, this monster does not cross the moral event horizon, he plays jump rope with it and then blows it up.

Let's go weeb gang

  • Name: Takeshi Yamamoto
  • Age: 14
  • Appearance: King of the field. Master of the sword. Lover of the milk.
  • Species: Human
  • Reality of Origin: Reborn! (2004)
  • Personality: Cheerful. Extremely cheerful. Like, 'you're pretty sure this kid is repressing some stuff' cheerful, but no, Yamamoto genuinely loves life and is happy to be here. He doesn't seem capable of seeing the worst in a situation and is the sort of guy who'll try and befriend anyone and everyone, regardless of how they've treated him in the past. That said, it's a different story if they've hurt someone he cares about, and even he has his off-days where he feels demotivated. On these rare occasions, he'll distance himself from others so as to not burden them with his own problems. And though he's the nicest kid you'll ever meet, he gets intensely focused when he's in game mode, so watch out if he's got a bat or sword in hand.
  • Skills: Most notably, Yamamoto is a star baseball player and a practitioner of Shigure Soen Ryu, a water-based sword style perfected over the years as it's been passed down from generation to generation. Aside from those he is also a competent sushi chef, can drive a motorcycle (despite not being of age), and is blessed with keen reflexes and a natural born talent that allows him to learn and adapt to new skills quickly, particularly if they require physical fitness.
  • Equipment:
    • Shigure Kintoki: Yamamoto's signature sword. Its normal form is that of a regular bamboo sword, but it transforms into a sharpened steel blade when Shigure Soen Ryu is used.
    • Necklace of the Rain: An artefact passed down through the Vongola Mafia family, originally in the form of a ring before it was destroyed and reformed. Wearing this necklace allows Yamamoto to utilise Rain Dying Will Flames, a water-like flame that can weaken or slow anything it touches. These Flames are powered by Yamamoto's resolve- not only are they weaker when his determination falters, but excess usage can leave him fatigued.
    • Vongola Rain Box: A small, ornate box that can only be opened with the Necklace of the Rain. Nestled within it are two weapons that take the form of animal companions:
      • Rondine di Pioggia: Nicknamed Koziro, this swallow is capable of two actions: "Rain Shield", which forms a wall of Rain Flames to protect Yamamoto from incoming attacks, and "Concentrated Downpour", which pours Flame-infused rain over a small area that causes objects to slow slightly. Through a process known as Cambio Forma, Koziro can fuse with Yamamoto's sword and transform his clothes into a traditional kendo outfit.
      • Cane di Pioggia: Nicknamed Ziro, this Akitu Inu fills the all-important role of being an adorable little pupper. When Cambio Forma is activated, Ziro transforms into a second sword for Yamamoto to wield.
  • Powers and Abilities:
    • Shigure Soen Ryu: The Shigure sword style is comprised of twelve forms, comprising of various feints and specialised blade strikes. Notable forms are listed below:
      • 2nd Form - Sakamaku Ame: Yamamoto creates multiple waves of water to obscure his body and then crouches down in a defensive stance.
      • 4th Form - Gofuu Juuu: Yamamoto synchronises his breathing with that of his opponent, allowing him greater evasion against their attacks.
      • 9th Form - Utsushi Ame: Yamamoto creates a chute of water that surrounds himself and arcs over the opponent. He can then travel quickly through this chute and strike from either the opponent's front or their behind.
      • 12th Form - Kirisame: Kirisame has two parts and can only be performed after Cambio Forma is activated. First is Sadachi, where Yamamoto attacks with multiple compressed airwaves from his left sword- even if the airwaves don't do damage, they sense disruptions in the air and thus alert Yamamoto to illusions or invisible objects. Second is Udachi, where Yamamoto's right sword shoots out swallows formed from Rain Flames that impale the enemy and leave them immobilised from the Flame's effect.
      • Aggregate Art - Jiunoka: Yamamoto combines multiple forms to unleash a single, powerful attack. The result is a sphere of Rain Flames, two metres in diameter, that causes any object caught within it to slow down greatly. Given the nature of this attack, it's not something that Yamamoto can pull out willy-nilly.
    • Attacco di Squalo: A sword technique appropriated from one of Yamamoto's mentors. Yamamoto coats his sword with Rain Flames so that, when it connects with the opponent, it sends a wave through them that stuns their muscles.
    • Rain Flame Radar: Similar in function to his Sadachi attack, Yamamoto spreads a thin veil of Rain Flames in a two metre sphere around his body. This veil allows him to detect incoming invisible objects and attacks.
  • Backstory: Yamamoto's adventure first began when he broke his arm during baseball practice. Overcome with grief, he attempted to throw himself off the school rooftop, only to be stopped by a peculiar classmate known as Tsunayoshi Sawada. Tsuna was the heir to the Vongola mafia family, and had been charged by his tutor to find strong individuals who could serve as his guardians. Believing the whole deal to be some sort of LARP game, Yamamoto happily joined as one of Tsuna's guardians and soon grew to be one of Tsuna's closest friends and allies.
To better protect Tsuna in the ensuing battles, Yamamoto hung up his baseball bat and instead took lessons in swordsmanship from his father, becoming the newest successor of the Shigure Soen Ryu sword style. As his proficiency grew, and Tsuna's group were thrust into even more dangerous battles, Yamamoto was given various pieces of equipment to bolster his status as Vongola's number one swordsman. No matter how powerful he became, however, he never lost his unending cheer and optimism that supported Tsuna emotionally as much as his sword did physically.
After defying death time and again, the forces conspiring against Tsuna- and the world at large- eventually tapered out, and the boys were able to return to something resembling an ordinary life. That is, until Yamamoto suddenly popped out of existence during training one day.

As an aside, Liz, no Personality section?

Casual interest. Would be great for me since there's no telling when I'll have to dip. Might take a while to think of a new character because someone else already took THE ONE FREAKING CHARACTER I ASSOCIATE MYSELF WITH

I see this as an interesting thing, yes. Did an internal debate as to whether or not I should join in with this as I wrote this out, and came to the conclusion that I should. Will build my submission form elsewhere and post it here when it's complete.

Got my submission ready - here you go:
  • Name: Tenya Iida.
  • Age: 16.
  • Appearance:
  • Species: Human.
  • Reality of Origin: My Hero Academia
  • Skills: He has a keen intellect, which landed him 2nd place in midterm exams, and has shown strategic and tactical abilities, too.
  • Powers and Abilities: He has a Quirk known as Engine, which is a Mutant-type that manifested car-like engines in each of his calves, granting him incredible running speed and extreme kicking power. He does need to fuel them with orange juice, though.
  • Equipment: Asides from his Hero Costume, it is unknown what other equipment he has.
  • Backstory: Tenya spent his childhood idolizing his older brother, known as the Turbo Hero: Ingenium, and wished to be like him, which was his primary motivation for attending the hero academy UA. Ever since he got into the Hero Course, he spent his time focusing on his studies as well as his training, wanting to ensure that the Ingenium name does not die.

@whizzerd: An excellent suggestion. I've added Personality to the template now. Those who've signed up already needn't feel obligated to edit that in, though.

@videxguy: Well, hey, if you're stuck for ideas, you could always go with an alternate version of said character, if you can make them feel distinct enough...

@kiobi20: Seems alright for the most part, but before I accept your signup, I'm gonna have to ask you to pare down the equipment section. Just reduce it to the items he'd have on him at the time of being transported to another world. It's too early on for him to pop in with an entire jokermobile.

@crystalmemoria: Could you just quickly make sure all his abilities are accounted for?

Everyone else thus far is Accepted, and a roster will be created in due course.

Name: Zagreus

Age: Immortal (appears mid-20's)

Appearence: Not pictured, his feet are constantly on fire

Species: God (1/4th human)

Reality of Origin: Hades

Personality: Despite looking like an edgy nightmare, Zagreus is most almost unfailingly polite to everyone he meets. He generally meets anyone, even those who should be below him as prince of the Underworld, as an equal and friend. Thanks to being basically unkillable, he doesn't even hold being attacked against people that much. They'd need to have a good reason, obviously, but if someone manages to send him back to spawn, he's willing to be a good sport about it all.

Some might be willing to say that Zagreus is too nice. When someone seems to be having a problem, Zagreus tends to want to fix it. Even if he's told not to interfere or bother, it's hard for Zagreus to just accept unfortunate circumstances. So, he often ends up taking risks just to make others happier.

Along with his politeness, Zagreus is often very cheeky. He's usually ready with a sarcastic quip, or self-deprecating humor. He doesn't think much of himself, other than his fighting abilities. Due to constantly being berated by his father growing up, Zagreus is fully aware that he's not the best or the brightest, but he's definitely good with a sword.

As demonstrated by Zagreus's numerous attempts to get to the surface, he's stubborn as hell. This is partially out of spite, because despite being so nice, when someone pisses Zagreus off enough, he can drop his politeness and become a real pain in the ass for people rude enough. He also tends to be rash, jumping in without fully thinking through the consequences.

He also is so sheltered by living in the Underworld he has no idea what birds are, among other things.

Skills:

  • Weapon Proficiencies: Trained by Achilles himself, Zagreus is skilled in using a wide variety of weapons. These include the sword, spear, shield, bows and arrows, guns, and unarmed combat. His main fighting style mostly revolves around being quick, avoiding attacks and chipping away at enemies while circling around them.

Powers and Abilities:

  • Immortality: As a god, Zagreus can't be permanently killed. While there are ways of stopping him from being a problem (such as cutting him up into pieces and scattering them to the point that he can't regenerate). When defeated in battle, Zagreus just gets sent back to whatever location he'd first arrived in to regenerate.

  • Fire-Resistance: While not completely immune to fire or lava, Zagreus can resist damage briefly. Basically, he can stand on lava for about five seconds before he starts burning. After that, it can kill him rather easily.

  • Dashing: A sort of short-length teleportation ability. Zagreus is capable of moving as he says 'a blade's length' away. Since he's teleporting, he's invulnerable for the few seconds it takes to dash. He can also use this ability to move through corners or pillars, things he can see around. He can't go through a wall or a door since he can't know if he'll make it to the other side.

  • Mirror of Night: A gift from Zagreus's adopted mother, Nyx, this mirror allows Zagreus to magically improve his abilities. Unfortunately, this mirror didn't come with him, so he's stuck with the upgrades he's already unlocked:

    • Stubborn Defiance: Once per fight, Zagreus is capable of just not dying. When taking a fatal hit, Zagreus instead heals some of his wounds and can continue fighting.

    • Abyssal Blood: When Zagreus's bloodstones are stuck in a foe, they cause the enemy to become slightly slower and weaker. This effect lasts the few seconds it takes for the stones to be dislodged.

    • Ruthless Reflex: If Zagreus dashes immediately before getting hit, he briefly becomes shrouded from damage. Any attacks against him are much harder to land for a few seconds.

Equipment:

  • Stygius, the Blade of the Underworld: One of the Infernal Arms from the Underworld's armory, Stygius is the sword that came with Zagreus. Instead of being kept in a scabbard, it is summoned from the aether when Zagreus intends to attack something. When thrust into the ground, it creates a small shockwave that hurts anything around Zagreus. Like all of the Infernal Arms, Stygius has several aspects. These aspects are pieces of previous or future wielders that Zagreus can tap into to change how he uses Stygius. These can't be changed during a battle.

    • Aspect of Zagreus: The fastest aspect, when wielding this Zagreus's agility is slightly improved.

    • Aspect of Nemesis: After using his special move (hitting the ground to attack those around him) Zagreus's next attack is more likely to hit a vital spot.

    • Aspect of Poseidon: Using the special attack immediately dislodges any bloodstones stuck in an enemy.

    • Aspect of Arthur: Stygius becomes much longer and heavier, therefore has better reach and stronger attacks but is much slower as a consequence. The special attack creates a holy aura where Zagreus plants the sword. This aura protects himself and his allies from damage and slows projectiles.

  • Bloodstones: A unique type of weapon that is the closest thing to magic Zagreus can do. Summoned from his own blood, these weapons take the form of large gemstones that are sent flying towards opponents. When they hit they become stuck in the enemy for a few seconds before falling back to the ground. Zagreus can use this three times before he needs to pick them back up to reuse. While they have no intrinsic elemental charge, Zagreus can partner with someone else to infuse them with magic so that they can take on new properties depending on what spell is used.

  • Pierced Butterfly: A keepsake given to Zagreus by his partner, Thanatos. This keepsake makes Zagreus more powerful for every battle he leaves without taking any damage.

Backstory: Zagreus was not supposed to have been born.

It was prophesied by the Fates that Hades would have no living heir. That didn't stop Hades and Persephone from having Zagreus. He did not survive his birth, however, causing Persephone to escape to the surface in her grief.

Not long after Persephone left, Nyx managed to revive Zagreus. Wanting to let Persephone live a better life than being trapped in the Underworld, and fearing a war started with Olympus if she was found by the gods other than Zeus who had spirited her away in the first place, Hades decided not to tell Persephone that Zagreus was alive. Instead, he told Zagreus that Nyx was his mother.

Hades wasn't the most caring parent in the world. He often belittled Zagreus, especially since he couldn't do any of the clerical work that Hades assigned him. Who knew running the Underworld involved so much paperwork?

After being fired from his job in the administrative chamber, Zagreus went through his father's desk for something important to mess with to get back at him. Instead, he found a letter from his birth mother. After finding out he'd been lied to all of his life, Zagreus was determined to make it to the surface to find Persephone and get answers from her.

It took a lot of failed attempts and deaths, but Zagreus eventually found Persephone and managed to piece together what was actually happening. He had to escape even more times because he couldn't survive for long on the surface, but eventually he was able to convince Hades and Persephone to actually talk to one another and they reunited. They also managed to come up with a story to tell the Olympians to avoid a war, and Zagreus was given a new job as security consultant, his escape attempts becoming an attempt to find holes in the security that might need plugging up.

@LizardOfAus All righty, updated my sheet to include other PSY Qualia powers. It was a little tricky because I wasn't sure if I should include the original anime's powers, but I figured I may as well because just because they weren't seen in the reboot of Vanguard doesn't mean they can't also happen.

Keep in mind that his powers mostly just relate to stuff relating to Vanguard, other PSY Qualia users, and Planet Cray's fate, so I doubt most of it will be activating in the RP unless by some chance someone signs up as Ren Suzugamori or something (Really though, what are the chances of that one?).

I also added a small personality section.

So he's all yours.

  • Name: Estelle Bright
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: Junior Bracer ready for duty.
  • Species: Human
  • Reality of Origin: Kiseki/Trails in the Sky
  • Personality: Estelle is cheerful, spirited, and stubborn as all hell. She's always in a good mood, and always looks on the bright side. But despite her name, she isn't very bright. She charges ahead without thinking, getting into more trouble than she's worth. In spite of that, she's a bundle of confidence and enthusiasm, and always tries to a put a smile on everyone's face. If someone's in trouble, she'll be the first one to help, only stopping if someone holds her back. She can be a bit nervous, mostly if someone tells her she's wrong or she has a crush. She almost never doubts herself, but when she does, she'll stumble over herself till doomsday. But she always gets back on her feet.
  • Skills: Trained by her father, Estelle is a skilled fighter, and is an expert with a bowstaff. The only thing she lacks is experience. She's seen her share of monsters and been in a few scrapes, but she's still a newbie.
  • Powers and Abilities: Estelle can manipulate ki, enhancing her physical abilities and generating energy blasts from her staff. With it, she can attack opponents from afar or further increase her strength.
  • Equipment: Estelle always has her trusty staff, but her bread and butter is her Orbment. Taking the form of a pocketwatch, she can slot in different Quartz and gain spells and physical enhancements, letting her do anything from cast fireballs to healing herself up. The downside is each spell takes energy, but she can cast a lost of spells before she has to recuperate.
    • Fireball: Lets her shoot a ball of flame at anything in range.
    • Arial: Generates a small whirlwind, letting her blow away foes in a small area and tear them to shreds.
    • Tear: Can heal herself and others, and even cure burns. But it can't cure any fatal injuries.
    • Adamantium Sheild: Can generate a stone barrier to protect herself and others, but it crumbles after one hit.
    • Clock Up: Can speed herself and others up, making them incredibly fast.
    • La Forte: Can enhance her group's strength, allowing them to more easily defeat their enemies.
  • Backstory: Born in the kingdom of Liberl, Estelle was raised in the Rolent province. She was a bright and happy young girl, and she loved her father and mother very much. Until one day, the neighboring Erebonia empire invaded Liberal out of the blue. After 100 days, her father managed to drive them back, but her mother sacrificed herself to save her from falling rubble. Despite this, Estelle didn't lose her spirit, choosing to become someone that could make her mother proud. She devoted herself to becoming a bracer like her father, determined to help people in need and a put a smile on their faces. When Cassius came home with a mysterious young boy one day, it only made her more spunky and feisty than ever. The two grew up together as brother and sister, and trained with their father to be the best bracers they could be.

I might be interested. I realize I have a bad habit of dropping out of RPs for basically no reason beyond not knowing what I'm getting into and/or not being as engaged as I thought (I have a short interest span), so the idea of something that accommodates that is naturally appealing to me. :V

@Jumping Fruit: For the time being...I'll allow it if either a) they're brought in separately, either at different times or different locations, or b) they're small folk that come to the size of an average person combined.
