Just a Face and a Caption: Friendly Fandoms

Pic is pretty much Doomguy holding Isabelle. Nothing about the camaraderie between fans of their recent games.

I actually don't mind this one.

I thought it was a Smash Bros cutscene or something.

This one actually isn't that bad, although I'd prefer a pic where Isabelle looks happy. Here's a few artworks of the pair I found through a quick search:

All of those are good. We should get permission to use, though.

to current and suggestions. It's too much of a leap for me to assume two fandoms are in arms just because of a single fan's Weird Crossover art.

Shows that one's a fan of the other, at least.

This isn’t just “one weird fan”. There’s more than enough fan art of Doom / Animal Crossing that we could actually do a collage style image. The only inconvenience would be contacting all of their artists for consent.

I like all of the ones in 4, with 4.3 > 4.2 > 4.1 > 4.4

A collage would at least show it’s a trend.

Abstaining on all suggestions until we get permission.

I think out of those images, 4.4 is the best as it's the only one that doesn't just look like a crossover.

A collage from different fans seems to be the way forward.

Sure, I may have only suggested it offhand but I'll own it. Here's one using all but 4.3, but for balancing purposes I also added a new pic at the bottom from a fun youtube music video by The Chalkeaters.

To be clear: I have not contacted any of the artists. I have the below on file so I can swap images in or out as we get permissions, just let me know.

Caption suggestion: A demon-fighting marine and a cute dog may be an Odd Friendship, but fans love them to be together.

I prefer that collage over the standalone images that were suggested.

Yeah, no news on the last one. He's disabled his Twitter messaging, so I can't try anything but email. Y'all want I should try and message the artists for 4.3?

Well, it's almost two weeks and still no news.

I tracked down 4.3 to @PickledChild(source), he's disabled twitter messaging so I couldn't ask him. He does have an instagram account we could try. I'd message myself but I don't have an Instagram account, could someone who already has one ask him please?

Should we add to the Pics awaiting permission thread and close, then?
