Misused: Blue Is Heroic

I've always been surprised we don't have Good Wears White, a counterpart to Evil Wears Black.

So our crowner options are:

• Turn Blue Is Heroic into a disambig
• Redefine Blue Is Heroic as a Trope In Aggregate, as outlined in this post.

I think we all mostly agree that Knightly Blue should just be drafted from scratch, so I'm not sure I need to add that definition concept to the crowner.

I don’t think we need to add Knightly Blue to the crowner. Someone can make that trope in the TLP whenever. Everything else looks good though

If there's no more suggestions, here's the crowner.

If this does become a trope in aggregate, a lot of the examples still need to be cleaned or removed right? Since they are either “character wears blue” or “character wears blue and is nice”. And I guess the description has to be rewritten too.

In that case I actually think a rename to something like Heroes Wear Blue would help; "blue is heroic" is vague enough that I can see why it spun out into zce and shoehorn nothingness.

Feel free to suggest a rename on the crowner; it's early enough for us to add options.

That is contingent on the trope being kept though.

True...if it's kept we can do a rename crowner after.

It's not listed on the trope page, but Invaders Of The Rokujyouma is a Long Runner series that revolves around the legend of a figure called "The Blue Knight" (an ideal knight who's one part Dragon Quest protagonist, one part Jesus), and spends almost 40 books talking about how the associations between heroism and the colour blue remained embedded in his nation's culture even into the space age. If there's a "Knightly Blue" trope, it might be worth mining for quotes if nothing else.

Oh, we definitely need to make Knightly Blue. Whoever wants to sponsor the thing, totally should.

I vote to keep it but rename if needed.

I like Knightly Blue. It can even apply with Lancers in Shonen anime, given that knights wield lances in jousting. It might need a companion orange-clad hero trope though.

I added a rename option to the crowner, since there's been some support for that.

Since the crowner still hasn't been hooked yet, yeah, that's fine.

I would have preferred to rename it *if* we were keeping it, but that isn't sure yet.

Should I re-holler to hook?

But yeah, this does open the gates to the possibility of us renaming the trope but not changing the definition...

I think it's good so far. My only nitpick is that you potholed the knight part to Knight in Shining Armor. But if we make Knightly Blue, that pothole could go there instead. So I'm wondering if we should just leave the pothole off, let someone launch Knightly Blue, and then...yeah.

Again, this is a massive nitpick and I know it. But there really wasn't much else to say about it, besides that it seems solid.
