This is a reboot of the original thread.
The rules are pretty simple— I'm thinking of a character. And they're a Disney character. I post a brief description of the character. You will then ask yes or no questions about the character until you can guess the identity of the character, an image of the character will then be posted. The winner then makes their own starting description, and so on and so forth. Here's the layout rules:
- They can come from a movie, a television show, or a video game.
- Unlike the original, you CAN be a character from the work the previous poster was in.
- I will do my best to ensure that the OP of the thread will be constantly updated with already-used characters.
- The current descriptor must post a recap of the progress for every new page, and edit that post accordingly with the progress in the page.
- A player may declare a stump after 24 hours has passed from the last question and its answer. If this happens, the current descriptor reveals their character, and the next round goes to the stumped player.
- If a question needs to be replaced because it has already been answered, please do not erase the question. Just add the new question below it. In fact, the act of completely erasing a question is frowned upon.
- If you're adding a clue, please keep it related on a Disney owned basis, as detailed below.
What counts as "Disney"?
- The origin work of the character in question has to be owned (as in a copyright IP ownership) by the Walt Disney Company through a subsidiary. You may find a page on Disney-owned subsidiaries and divisions here, if you need guidance.
- This rule therefore counts the works copyrighted to Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and all their respective subsidiaries, as well as the Walt Disney Television division and its subsidiaries (Disney Television Animation, etc)
- By this rule, characters from 20th Century owned material such as Avatar, Titanic (1997), The Simpsons, Anastasia, etc. are allowed.
- Likewise, the Blue Sky Studios characters count, as it is a subsidiary of 20th Century Studios.
- As does Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, as it was developed by Walt Disney Television Animation through the Jetix block.
- By this rule, Kingdom Hearts original characters are also allowed, as the franchise's copyright IP belongs to Disney, while Square Enix is only responsible for development. Hence: "(C) Disney. Developed by Squaresoft/Square Enix."
- Square Enix characters which appear in the franchise, however, does NOT count, as Square Enix remain the copyright holder for them and their original games.
- This rule therefore counts the works copyrighted to Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and all their respective subsidiaries, as well as the Walt Disney Television division and its subsidiaries (Disney Television Animation, etc)
- Works that are merely aired by the Disney networks under a distribution licensing deal (for example, the Pokémon anime, PJ Masks, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, etc.) does not count, as their IP does not belong to Disney. Those characters can go in this thread instead.
If there's any questions or further suggestions, let me know!
