Needs Help: Six Student Clique

I notice that Six Student Clique has its own Playing With page like a trope, but its Main page is just a redirect to Cast Calculus. This seems a little misleading, because the Cast Calculus page does not describe any tropes/patterns related to groups of six students, and offers only one relevant example (Saved by the Bell listed in the "Five" section).

A past thread suggests it used to be a trope, degraded into a redirect after a debate over whether it was tropeworthy. They might have preserved the name in case someone wanted to YKTTW it in the future, but no one seems to have made such an attempt for at least seven years. In any case, by looking at the contents on the Cast Calculus itself, it doesn't seem very clear why its alternative title is Six Student Clique.

I would like to suggest removing the redirect to Cast Calculus, to avoid further confusion for users of the page. The Playing With page for Six Students Clique may also be obsolete if it's not considered a trope anymore. If it's still a trope under debate, it might belong in forums instead of a redirect page.

Opening since it's a plain cut discussion, but clocking as the case for a thread is not very strong.

Six Student Clique is not trope material and wicks to it (ZCE from the few pages I've visited) should be removed.

So if I were to dewick it, should the wicks be pointed somewhere else or just deleted?

Point somewhere if you can find the appropriate trope. If not, simply remove it.

So are we all right with cutting the trope and removing the redirect? (Does removing redirects need to be done by admins?)

I've looked at a lot of the wicks. Most of them are potholes or zero-context examples that just list character names with archetypes and don't say anything further. The only one example I've seen with any kind of context is on Friends.Tropes P To S, and the "context" on that page talks about how the roles get shifted around, making me think it's not even an example of a non-trope.

I agree that it can be cut, as people seem to think it's an actual trope even though it isn't.

Good, and the other I labeled as "unsure" was Giselfred, who actually said "cut" in the inital post. So, 11 votes for cutting, none against. Is this enough consensus?

Dewicked all of them I could find, except Sandbox.Power Trio.

None of the wicks I found had any context to them.

I'm not sure what to do with this, though. From Deconstructed Trope:

• That Championship Season shows the viewer what would happen to the Six Student Clique when they grow up.

Consensus was to cut the Six Student Clique redirect, but keep Cast Calculus, correct? If so, placing it on the cutlist is all that's left to do.
