The first entry leans more into Fridge Horror and Ron the Death Eater, as well as overthinking what’s probably meant as Black Comedy in a children’s show that has Negative Continuity. The first two Never Live It Down entries don’t explain why it’s an unfair exaggeration.

Found this in FandomSpecificPlot. The Loud House:

  • Less so than "No Such Luck", but the Season 2 episode "Brawl in the Family" has also received many Deconstruction Fics that punish the entire family. There are several reasons for these fanfics being popular:
    • The family was holding the largest Idiot Ball possible for the whole episode, including Lincoln. Among the dumb choices the family made were going to communal rooms, or in Lori's case Lincoln's room, to cool off when they (especially Lori, who can drive) could have just left the house, and the whole fight being over a dress. Lincoln held the Idiot Ball when he somehow thought claiming the sisters badmouthed each other would solve the fight.
    • The sisters treated Lincoln badly, more so than the normal sibling quarrels the family has, and they seemed very selfish and stubborn during the episode. Examples of this behaviour include not telling Lincoln about the so-called “Sister Fight Protocol” when everyone else seems to know about it, using his room and later his blanket to quell the fight, and not even apologising to him in the end for it, or even taking any responsibility for making anything worse, rather blaming Lincoln for the whole mess when he was just partially to blame. To add insult to injury, the protocol came off as very flawed and senseless, with things such as using a bucket as a toilet, eating dinner twice, and keeping the sisters separate. It practically didn't even work, either, since the only way the fight was resolved was because Lori tricked Leni. Plus, in spite of telling Lincoln not to get involved and let them resolve it on their own, the non-quarelling sisters keep moving the arguing sisters from one room to another and even start fighting over who was right, Luna and Luan in particular, which means they spend the climax doing exactly what they keep telling Lincoln not to do! And above all, the fact that they told Lincoln he fixed all of the fighting by leaving the house, which, while true to a degree, is worded rather poorly and to many fans, makes it sound as if they no longer want Lincoln around, which has led to several fics involving Lincoln losing his temper and with angry tears, giving them a "Reason You Suck" Speech over effectively pushing away their only brother.
    • Another thing in the episode that annoyed the viewers was the fact that the “protocol” was never seen or mentioned before and that it’s never revealed as to where it suddenly just came from. As such, there are several fanfics that explain where, when, and why the protocol was invented and why Lincoln didn't know about it.

This just seems like a full blown critique of the episode shoehorned into an example, especially the second subullet that's a Wall of Text.

This is really becoming the No Suck Luck/Brawl in the Family Cleanup, huh? tongue

Anyway yea, most of this can be boiled down to "The Season 2 episode "Brawl in the Family" has also received many Deconstruction Fics that punish the entire family." The "reasons" are irrelevant to the main point.

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.

Is saying, "that punish the entire family" without saying what they're punished for a bit weird? I mean, I know the example was too ranty, but... I dunno; it doesn't seem natural somehow.

So recently Luna Loud has been confirmed to not actually be Bisexual as had been believed for the longest time (here is the source in case you want proof) found this out only recently. So I guess this means all of the text talking about her sexuality needs to be changed but there are so many that it will take me forever to do this, I am also worried by edits might get reverted.

There is also a matter of if some tropes apply anymore due to incorrect sexuality guess, for example, these ones from the Trivia page.

  • Ascended Fanon: "L is for Love" confirms the long-held fan theory of Luna being bisexual.
  • I Knew It!: "L is for Love" confirmed the relatively longtime fan theory/headcanon that Luna is bisexual.

Both tropes have to do with fans assuming she is Bi so I have no idea if they would apply anymore. I came to this thread since it is the best place I could think of.

Yeah, that seems like a good idea, but I still don't know if these tropes are valid anymore.

We will also probably have the pages swarmed with complaints about supposed "bi-erasure" so that will have to be dealt with.

To quote the article:

Sullivan clarified to Insider in a separate interview that it wasn't due to pressure from Nickelodeon, adding that saying a word like lesbian in dialogue "never came up."

"I don't know if I would push it," he added. "We never challenged that and I'm actually glad we didn't because she becomes representative of so many more young people struggling with their identity."

So is it really confirmed as her final sexuality, or are they just suggesting they originally wrote her as a lesbian but are okay with her being interpreted in other ways?

I'd be okay changing it to lesbian but if nothing else we can just say sapphic/queer.

Also real fun being a bi woman and hearing people complain about us swarming the pages with complaints when, as far as I know, that hasn't happened and there's no guarantee of that happening. Reeeeeeeal fun.

[up] Well in the same article they also said that her crush on Hugh (which is the only thing that would make her Bi) was not meant to be taken seriously and only for the episode.

Knowing the fandom, the point was that Luna was generally seen as queer, if not specifically lesbian. It's valid enough to me.

Even though I'm not bi, I find it kind of disappointing since I feel like gay people are getting more representation lately than bi people.

Given that they don't get to say "bisexual" or "lesbian" onscreen (which is the point of the article), kids won't really care about the difference, they'll just learn that girls can like girls and it's okay.

That said, that's a topic for a broader thread.

Alright, I scoured all the pages super carefully and used the search function and I think I got all of them, Obviously I ignored the fanfic's that painted her as Bi since that is its own thing, Fandom-Specific Plot was a bit weird since it talks about fans painting Luna as Bi which is true so I just left that one.

Bi or lesbian, I think we should remove all the spoiler tags when mentioning it. It's been a long time since "L is for Love" introduced us to Sam and Luna's relationship with her and still treating it as the super duper mega secret spoiler thing seems wrong.

The best character is always the one-shot disguise.

You can probably remove the tags, as the relationship should be known by now.

[up] Well in the same article they also said that her crush on Hugh (which is the only thing that would make her Bi) was not meant to be taken seriously and only for the episode.

Wait I'm actually reading the Insider article now and I'm confused where this part is. It doesn't mention Hugh at all, and I can't find any interview that debunks that whole scene.

In fact, the article almost suggests that she's not confirmed as anything — she may have been written as a lesbian in early drafts but the staff is fine with the interpretation of her being bisexual. It's not like The Owl House or The Legend of Korra where characters are given proper Word of Gay as bi or lesbian.

I can understand the confusion a it is a bit hard to notice but it is from this line.

"That lack of a more explicit identification resulted in some fans reading Luna as bisexual following the events of an earlier episode when she appeared to have a crush on a boy."

Notice the words used like "appeared" and "reading" which says pretty clearly it was not meant to be taken as an indication towards her sexuality, I mean even the dad was used for this joke.

The staff may be fine with the interpreation but we are a wiki that only focuses on what we are given and since her supposed cruh on Hugh can't really be used anymore well I think you get it.

From YMMV.The Loud House S 2 E 19 Future Tense Lynner Takes All:

  • Signature Scene: More like "Signature Un-Scene". Many fans that know of this episode will more often than not point out how Lynn was going to bleed from her gums from brushing her teeth too hard instead of a just losing a tooth. Much of it comes from how blood wouldn't even be an issue in the show if the episode did go with the bleeding gums, thanks to Clyde's constant Nosebleeds.

Can it count if it wasn’t actually in the episode?

I just spent the past couple of hours reading this thread to see if there was anything I could do to help since I used to watch this show up until the movie was announced back in February.

I don’t have anything to point out right now (though I will be on the search for stuff needing cleanup), but I was wondering what happened to Lincoln, Lori, and Luan’s character pages. See, they used to have character pages up until around mid-2021 that have since been deleted. Is this due to the cleanup of those characters removing the excessive amount of misused tropes applying to them?
