HGS Convergence Discussion Thread

Because not everyone's on the official HGS Discord Server, which covers both the Main thread and the eponymous RP and despite this thread's title, its reboot. This thread will cover the latter two.

To start things off, this thread was created to address a problem with Oggy's recent post as of this writing. Marx was shown communicating with his Tactical Doll army in the Voidlands, when it was established in this post that all outside communication's cut off due to the nature of the location. Also, Oggy was controlling Ribey and her minions without Mhazard's permission, which breaks one of the basic rules of RPing: no godmodding, please ask the other player if you want to borrow their character(s).

What should we do?

EDIT: Oggy has since changed their post accordingly, but to everyone here, please keep this basic rule in mind.

Okay, just going to leave this here as note for everybody: I'm planning on gathering all the heroes of the universes I've shown and then some. As well as set up the final battle of the Legion of Doom vs the Legion of Heroes. So expect me to be roleplaying characters from the MLP universe next.

Meanwhile for me, just want to say, but my nominator will leave to the Voidlands alongside his tributes once Season 58 has ended, as Bucciarati's Gang has to be revived first, and the French Miraculous Team is still competing

Should we have separate character pages for those who appear in Convergence or should they still stay in Lore Characters?

I was thinking of just adding a header that says "Characters Introduced in Convergence", at least until their entries become so big we have to move them.

Just recently, Magolor and his crew entered the Voidlands. However, they waltzed into it like it was Green Greens when it was established here that whoever enters it would experience extreme pain due to its eldritch nature. Not only that, only Eldritch Abominations like Marx can survive there without proper equipment, so Magolor and co. are basically unprepared for what's there, assuming that they didn't do any prep offscreen. Also, summoning a portal to go there in the first place is difficult.

This wasn't the first time they went in, and no explanation was made on how they got out in one piece.

What should we do? We could've addressed this earlier, but Magolor's crew already got in for the second time while contradicting what's been established. At least 6k1 is clued in that all communication there's cut off.

For Ribey and her colleagues, they barely landed unscathed only because they're technically robots and they landed onto the ocean.

There's an old saying that so long as you land onto the water, you don't get hurt even when you fall from a great height. We even have a trope for that, it's Soft Water.

As for my group who is sent to search for Ribey, they are equipped with an advanced and magical suit to protect themselves from what the Voidlands have

In regards to the above, we don't know much about the biology of Kirby characters and the full extent of the Lor Starcutter's powers, so it's probable that they were equipped. Also, i only got them there for the sake of interaction with Ribey.

Are you sure that would be Magolor and Susie's reaction to Valecor and Calissa's appearance? Would be rude to leave them hanging, even if they're villains.

~Oggy 123 Are you still in control of Frisk? Or did you hand them to me when they met 6k1 during her vacation? Bill just pranked them and Toriel, and I'm currently writing the latter's reaction to the prank.

Mettaton 48 will be going on hiatus until the next Nominator's Party, so from this point forward, I'll be handling Mettaton (not to be confused with Nominator Mett).

Also, Asgore is officially a shared character between me and Billy, and I plan to have the 'Tale cast react to his performance in the season.

Hopefully Billy will be active enough to make "react" posts for him each update.

I'm actually planning on having Magolor and Ribey interact with the Nominators once they reach the Voidlands. Will they?

They will inevitably do so according to GC.

I'll be going on a road trip tomorrow/later today, so my nomination post along with the 'Tale cast's reactions to Asgore up until his death, and also Toriel finishing the training before she's called to the Arena will be on hold for a while.

Alright, I'm back, and Bale confirmed on Discord that the Mane Cast in this post are alts, so 6k1's MLP tributes (Twilight, Fluttershy, etc.) won't be affected.

Ichi, since your nominator school had its first student (and a successful one at that), if you're going to do a scene about it, please take note that Ninten's being played by Dave, who hasn't posted for more than a week due to real life responsibilities. I suggest that you give some allowance for him if he wants to write from Ninten's POV.

By the way, if someone wants to use Vector and Charmy, they're all yours. I don't plan on RPing as them again.

I'll be leaving for the States from October 9 - 25, so during that time, my characters will be taking the backseat from any ongoing arcs during that time. As for 6k1, she'll still be passively participating in the Voidlands Arc via her program, and due to my hectic schedule, expect her to just have the usual nomination-reaction cycle. Hopefully I'll be able to finish any active arc before my departure.

However, I might have to disappear on the 12th because I have to watch the Grand Finale of MLP completely unspoiled (and ironically it's just before Villain Day). I'll be putting all major MLP characters, especially Twilight, on hold from that date until 1 month after it airs.
