i don't get at all what's happening in the image. it shows Picard being tortured (kind of), but it doesn't represent the trope, which is "people who are tortured so badly that they end up saying and believing the wrong things". the caption doesn't help either.

rjd1922 thinks otherwise based on this post, but I agree that the current pic is bad and should be pulled. That previous thread was eight years ago, obviously screenshot taking and pic editing tools and our standards improved since then.

Okay, the actual previous thread was two months ago, so we couldn't have improved that much, but still...

This makes thread number three. Does anyone have a replacement in mind?

The thread I was thinking of clocked out, but the majority of tropers there (including me) voted (weak) Keep Until Better Image Suggested. Should we call those tropers here and see if they've changed their mind? Otherwise it seems like we're just ignoring their opinions.

Hmm, from my count, the vote was 6 votes keep and 5 votes pull. Majority, technically, but the thread didn't close with a resolution, it was clocked. There was no consensus either way, and either way I wouldn't call one extra vote a clear majority.

I suppose I could support a pull.

Voting to replace, and for this trope, a picture of a door with the numbers "101" on it would be sufficient.

Since this is thread three (I forgot about the clocked out thread), we have crossed the Multiple Threads threshold. If anyone has a replacement idea, post it here so we could decide on it.

If no one can, we may have to settle the pull/keep debate via crowner.
