This is another one that I'd swear we've had a thread about before, but there's no tag.
Why not just add a screenshot of the gameplay to the current?
Keet cleanupEither the OP or add a gameplay screenshot.
Is it just me, or is the current a bit blurry? An updated version with a screenshot would be nice.

I like the OP's suggestion, but found the top panel to be a bit drab. Here's a livelier version:
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!""That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."
(Annoyed grunt)
I find the T&J suggestions to be kinda duplicate images, as the top panel is on Tom and Jerry already, only it's the "drab" version. I'd recommend putting the updated top panel on Tom and Jerry and putting a gameplay screenshot with the current on Covers Always Lie. This is my suggestion, current+screenshot:

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!
The Phalanx screenshot looks like it has JPEG artifacting. Can we use a clean screenshot, like this one? I also support using the brighter title card for Tom and Jerry.

Keet cleanupDarn, I must have missed the artifacting, thinking the native resolution was enough. Here's it updated, also going to update it in the crowner (it's pretty much the same thing only with better quality, so I'm going to replace the original entry rather than making a new one):
Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)Phalanx doesn't quite demonstrate for me - T&J has a screencap directly contradicting the title screen, but there's nothing saying the banjo man doesn't appear in another part of the game.
By this same logic, you could argue that Tom and Jerry are friendly towards each other in other episodes, and this particular screencap is an Out-of-Character Moment.
Edit: Never mind, I posted a suggestion only to then realize it didn't actually work for the trope, so I'm retracting now.

Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI am not even sure if titles card make for a good illustration of the trope which is about marketing. If you get to a title card, you are probably past a purchasing decision or never made one.
Edit: On the other hand, if all the network wants is get you hooked on watching their stuff, a deceptive title card may be a valid example of a marketing trick.

Crowner hooked.
x4: Er, no. It's more the issue that you can't prove a negative and say something doesn't exist.
Then the images on Lady Not-Appearing-in-This-Game and Contemptible Cover have the same issue. Unless we screencap the entire work, there's always going to be some level of assumption required for illustrating tropes like this.
Conceptually, the T&J and Phalanx images are identical. The Phalanx image is more effective since the contrast between a live-action shot of an old guy playing a banjo and a Shoot 'Em Up in space is far more glaring than an image of two characters behaving differently in different moments.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Even if the banjo player was in the game at all, it does trick you into thinking this won't be your average space shooter, right?
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Yeah, and also title-cards aren't really covers, so it's inaccurate anyway.
