While I won't be participating in this season for life reasons (and also because I'm lowkey terrified of creating another Brittany on accident,) good luck to everyone's nominees this season.

• (Player1), (a guy/a gal/a tribute/a tribute/tributes1) who lov(es/es/es/es/e1) pink and fashion, and (Player2), who('s/'s/'s/'s/'re2) solemn and (has/has/has/has/have2) built nukes, end up having their movies released on the same day. (Player3) not(es/es/es/es/e3) the tonal dissonance between these tributes and their movies.^note Yeah, based on the Barbie (2023)/Oppenheimer memes.

Event suggestions are now closed!

We have 80 tributes this season!

But ~Janky Kong , a few players (me included) are uncomfortable with your Bloodbath-exclusive event. It's directly based on your post where you (jokingly, I seriously hope, but still) accused the sim of being ableist for killing off a disabled tribute early, even if the event text doesn't state the kind of discrimination the sim allegedly exhibited.

So are we skipping that event then?

If you want to salvage it, maybe have it so the sim is just biased against the tribute themselves. I forget if that would just make it a repeat, though.

I'm sure we don't have that yet, unless you count the event where the sim kills off the tribute specifically to spite their nominator (but even then, that doesn't have another trib calling the sim out for it).

Recently, we've been having issues with the pacing when it comes to hosting seasons. With the playerbase having more IRL responsibilities as they grow up, thus having less time to host, along with having many more tributes and events to write for since the beginning of the New Sim Era (S258), we recently started encouraging our hosts to slow down and take their time in writing the updates. However, last season's pacing had serious issues due to a misunderstanding between the host's schedule and the community's expectations of how often updates should be posted.

So in light of this, we're planning to add a Hosting Guidelines section to the rules post so everyone will be informed on how exactly hosting goes. These won't be hard rules per se, but they should still be followed to ensure a smooth hosting experience. Some examples of guidelines include:

• a minimum of 1 update per day, and the host can post more than one if they have the time for it
• the host should be upfront with their schedule so everyone can adjust their expectations accordingly
• the mandatory parts of the update such as the Fallen Tributes list
• the mods have the right to forcibly replace the host if they fail to fulfill their schedule despite their promises

We're also trying to come up with solutions to make hosting more efficient, and Janky Kong suggested one idea that might work. The in-depth discussion on how to resolve this happened on Discord, so we shall ask on the thread: what do you recommend to help us improve the hosting experience?

I'm not against having two hosts to make updates faster, but it depends if they indeed can despite IRL responsabilities. They could also plan which host write which updates in advance to make things smoother.

They should definitely do a Night/Day update though instead of just Day, then Night. Last season was a tad too slow.

Regarding last season, TRB (I hope you don't mind me stating this) stated that the 18th was a bit of a busy day for him, and he initially thought he has to comment on every event; leading to the whole entire half-update thing. Kinda feel like the hosting guidelines should clarify that hosts are not required to comment on every event tbh.

A few things that I think should be added:

• Clarify that "one update per day" means at least two "phases" per update (e.g. one day/night). I think we can all agree that having one update be Day 1, then the next be Night 1, etc. is still too slow, especially if there's only one update per day. There won't be enough going on to keep the audience interested.
• Clarify that you don't need to comment on a particular event if you can't think of anything to say.
• Hosts should be aware that writing in RP format, while fun, adds a lot more work, so they should be prepared for that.

To add to the last point, a host can just comment on events without a character and without roleplaying, as in commenting events as if the comments come from the hosting player themself

I stated this on the Discord before, but I'll like to state this again.

I feel like there should also be a rule regarding if the host ran into a critically broken event or inappropriate ship. Like if the host noticed one before the season began, I feel they should tell the runner right away so that the season can be redone. If the host noticed one while in the middle of hosting, they should try to tell us in advance just in-case, and if possible, try to hand-wave it.

And Jake has set up the save for NTC. Everyone's still free to add to the discussion about improving the hosting experience, though.

Yep, it took just that one day and my false assumption about events to throw off my entire hosting schedule.

And NTC sent the save to Jake, although the former ran a backup Clean Save for him because we discovered a critically broken event in the Regular Save. Jake will use the backup this season and we'll fix that event in the next.

• What is with people making content based on what is happening in the Bloodbath this season? First, it was Alph. Now, it's the Postal Dude.
• Olimar ends up killing Phat Slug.
• Huh, as it turns out, Pokemon is a work of fiction within the Freedom Planet universe.
• The dead fairy is tasked to capture Mlynar this season. Will it succeed? Find out this season!
• Any reason for why Caedia told Kisame that?
• Does anybody want to draw fanart of Kublai Khan with a rainbow afro wig?

• TBH, I feel like there should be more choices there.
• A dinosaur makes a goat cry.
• Um, I don't think Broque Madame has any pockets to begin with be honest.
• Victoria teaches her cousin, and two other people on how to make pottery.
• GWC now has some green eggs and ham.
• Postal Dude, you shouldn't have laughed there.
• Don't think you need to spam your attack in order to kill the popcorn, Hank. You could have ate it.
• That's a whole lot of tributes that end up teaming up with Lilac there, as Luna has been around for about 60 seasons I believe.
• And Alm ends up shooting a Pokemon.
• Uh oh, Iroha, you better be careful around George there.
• Um, I don't think there's a yellow-alignment tbh.
• Um, since when being a tribute is a job? Then, again, given some past tributes played multiple times beforehand (such as Kirby), I feel like it could be a job for them.
• Huh, didn't know the Olimarbell was a thing.
• Wrinkler, I feel like it is possible. Just attach a knife to one. That way, you can stab someone with it.
• The grandma has a psychic advisor?
• Hm, I wonder what this picture of 3-13 Archer would look like.

Just for the record, I do have plans later today, so I feel like this might potentially be my only update for today. However, after today, expect this season to go in a much faster pace in comparison to some past seasons.
