Re: Momiji – Yo, I'm another Fruits Basket fan, and while I never did end up finishing the manga and have yet to watch the new anime (only finished the old one), while you do have a point about Momiji being unexpectedly mature at times, I do recall him spending the majority of his screentime doing things that aren't exactly typical of a boy his age – y'know, eating candy, bouncing around the place, singing cute songs, and again, he looks and sounds younger than he does to boot. He's not exactly on Honey's level of childishness, I can agree with that, but it's still enough of a factor that flagging him as yellow wouldn't exactly feel right to me, personally.

That being said, I am aware that about halfway through the manga, Momiji gets a growth spurt and looks more like your typical teenaged bishounen. I don't recall if this comes with a change in personality as well, but if it does, then that may complicate things, especially since we can't quite tell one way or the other since you nominated him in his rabbit form.

I'm glad you're happy to concede in favour of Discord consensus, but I just wanted to chime in here because the "discussion" on Discord really wasn't much, especially since I was the only Fruits Basket fan involved, and I do think that getting the right context and canon information is key in making sure Momiji is flagged correctly. If there are any other Furuba fans out there who have thoughts on this, I'd love to hear 'em.

See, I watched the remake, so I've only seen a little bit of the original anime, but I know that version plays up some of the characters' more comedic traits more than the other versions of the story do.

For example, in the chapter where they go to the hot springs, the first anime has a bit where Momiji annoys the others by singing a goofy song, which was not in the remake.

@Janky: Ah, I see. Then in that case, I'd be willing to chalk this up as an adaptation difference. I personally would still prefer to flag Momiji orange, especially if I'm nominating his pre-growth spurt self, but I support you flagging him as whatever flag feels right to you, especially considering the adaptation/stage of the story you're nominating him as.

Did you know that this year is the Year of the Rabbit? Well, if you didn't know before, then surely you'd know once you get a look at all the bunnies◊ participating this season! Step aside, ducks, it's an unofficial Rabbit Season, and it's time to see which rabbit will come out on top.

Who will live? Who will die? Who will hunt down all those pesky wabbits? Leeeeeeet's find out!

THE◊ BLOODBATH

• Oh, Rikiel, come the fuck on, don't post shit like that on the HGS Discord… *sigh* Now we have no choice but to have the Peacekeepers deal with you. Take it away, boys.
• Rabbit panics as he struggles to find someone to team up with. He eventually finds a family of fellow rabbits and decides it'd be best to stick with them for now.
• And speaking of the Rabbit Family, the Cream clone makes a terrible mistake… tempting fate.
• I… think that's the weirdest thing I've seen in these Games in quite some time. Good job on weirding me out, Electone Organ.
• Ohhhhh shit. Did Abomination really need to get that much bigger!? At this point he's got this entire season in the palm of his hand!
• Stanley sets an explosive off, culminating in the loss of three lives as well as his hearing.
• Hmm, this bet is a tough one… then again, anything could happen in the Hunger Games.

• The GameCube is surprisingly happy to see its rival here. Maybe it's just itching for a console war.

• I know we all love to clown our dear old President, but ya should've known that flipping the bird at him was his ultimate Berserk Button, BBB Reverse.
  • And the Panem National Anthem plays right afterwards. That has to be deliberate on Snow's part.
• The RNG decides that it's too early for kablammin45 to lose his only tribute of the season.
• And everyone else grabs shit and/or runs away, as you'd expect. Fairly standard Bloodbath fare.

DAY◊ ONE

• If Sara isn't that person, then who is? This just sounds like something from r/im14andthisisdeep.
• Claude splits himself in two. Hope that works out for him.
• President Snow is already tired of having a canine tribute around. But he's not motivated to get rid of him. Yet.
• Carol Tea orders a burger that ultimately saves her life.
• Doesn't look like there are any babies in the Rabbit Family, so… that tracks.
• Splat comes across a bashing fic where they serve as the author's self-insert.
• (stares into the camera) Why are you asking me these questions? I may be the host, but I can't read the tributes' minds! Nor can I solve every mystery in the Arena!
• The GameCube helps Kevin get over a wall in a rather creative manner.
• Whoa, when did the Zodiac Curse get so advanced?
• Melissa and Stanley attend BBB Reverse's funeral. Didn't take them to be fans of that work tbh.
• What's with all the tomatoes today?
• Steamed hams! That's what they call hamburgers in the Looney Tunes 'verse!

• Yeah, I'd have trouble praising a kid with a chainsaw, too.
