There are countless images across the wiki that — while they look fine with the normal display — contrast badly with Night Vision's color scheme. The purpose of this thread is to weed these images out by replacing them with either transparent versions, or sometimes just a higher-quality version.
What causes an image to contrast most often is that it has an unnecessary, blank white background. A good example is the former image for Orbot & Cubot◊ on the character subpage for Sonic The Hedgehog, which has since been swapped out for a transparent version◊.
Another cause is when the image in question is already transparent, but it wasn't cut out properly and now has an unsightly artifact of its background around it. For example, the former image◊ for Studio Ghibli, which has also been replaced with a cleaner version◊.
These details are basically impossible to notice on the normal display's white background, and since not everyone uses Night Vision regularly, a lot of these images sneak through. Please keep Night Vision in mind when suggesting or uploading any new image for use on a page.
To tell if an image needs replacing, just switch on Night Vision (if you don't already have it enabled) and see if the image has either of the two problems detailed above. If it does, then either add it to this index and report it here so someone can replace it or, if you are able to, go ahead and replace the image yourself. You don't need to ask for permission; image quality upgrades are a free action. You are not obligated to report any upgrades you made here, but that would be appreciated, since that would help this thread get traffic.
Please note that not every image with a white background will need to be replaced. In some cases the white background is as much a part of the image as any other detail. Take for instance, the page image◊ for The Lost Room. Other examples, like any page that uses a panel from a black-and-white comic or manga, such as the current image◊ for Heroic Resolve, should also be okay (unless the background takes up a unusual amount of space, then it will probably just need to be cropped). If you are unsure if an image should be replaced, bring it up here.

Why isn’t this on Image Picking?
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. It was decided quite some time back to put it here.
Can someone please make this transparent? Thanks in advance.
What’s our policy with TLP examples? Because this image on Sinister Deer Skull probably shouldn’t be transparent.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. Why not? Transparent images are encouraged over ones with flat white backgrounds, and it’s still visible on night mode.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.IFC really shouldn’t be transparent.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction is a weird example. For some reason, it has two white bars to the sides, despite the image itself being a video game box art

Thanks!
I'm back, 4 years later to finish the transparency job on the Mega Man pages. After that I might go after Castlevania.
I'm a shooting star leaping through the sky like a tiger, defying the laws of gravityI just noticed the transparency issues on JustForFun.Rick Roll's page image. It is the text at the top of the image having artifact errors. YouTube's interface has changed drastically since the image was created years ago, so a new version of the image should be made for the modern age. Thoughts?
Life is just a dream.I'll just put a white background. Replacing an image is a problem for IP threads.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIs it fine to replace a page's image with a transparent one thats near identical as long as I update the caption?
I have a good transparent png for the Blue's Clues & You! page thats nigh identical except it has shovel and pail in it too. edit: and the rest of salt and pepper's kids

I'm a shooting star leaping through the sky like a tiger, defying the laws of gravityTransparency is a free action. For the caption ask separately here.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI did not notice the bucket. If it's official it's probably fine.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIt is yeah, I decided to ask just because its the first time I've seen a technicality I feel I should ask about.
I'm a shooting star leaping through the sky like a tiger, defying the laws of gravityThe page image for South Park is too dark.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. Can someone wikisize this and make it transparent? The online program I've been using keeps making parts of her hair and headdress transparent along with the background. Thanks in advance.
I've done my best with it. Hopefully this works.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.
Looks good.
