Zombieland 2 is coming October 2019, with a start date this January.

There are only the vaguest plot details so far, just something about the story starting at the White House.

Huh, I thought the lack of a sequel was on purpose. Super excited all the same.

I loved the first one. This, part of me feels it's being a bit too meta. The first one had a good balance of inanity and heartfelt. The fact the whole story was one of small scale winning (Getting to the fair, enjoying the world) was lovely. Plus the epic music as Tallahassee shoots out of the food stall.

But amazing to see the "little girl" all grown up.

Also, Rosario Dawson, all for that. Being badass as usual!

Can’t believe it’s been ten years.

I found it enjoyable enough. Had all the elements I liked in the first one except for the final battle being anticlimactic. I was unsurprised but surprisingly pleased. Went in expecting the greatest mid-credit scene of all time and wasn’t disappointed in the least.

I think the first half was better than the second. The climax didn't hold a candle to the first film's.

Alt-Tallahasse and Alt-Columbus didn't last nearly as long as I'd hoped they would.

Never saw the first film, but understood the basic premise and tone, so went into this one mostly blind. Generally enjoyed it, it doesn't take much to get caught up and the style reminded me a lot of Edgar Wright films (obviously Shaun of the Dead, but also Hot Fuzz). There is a central goal, but it boils down largely as a Road Trip Plot and Random Events Plot, with a climax that just sort of appears despite efforts to foreshadow it.

It was refreshing to have a movie with such vivid characters and broad world building, even Madison was turning out to be endearing through strength of personality alone.
