Well for BBTAG, who actually cares about the BB series itself? As BB may be overshadowed by the more popular Persona and especially RWBY (Just Here for Godzilla).

Huh. Actually I would value BB over any of the rest. But... well, this is awkward, when it comes to me.

I would assume there are people that care for the franchise this game is literally named after.

And even then what your saying if false since you’ve forgotten that UNIB is the series with the least popularity as it’s the most indie property of the 4 franchises.

BB has been going on since 2008 & has gained 3 sequels (4 if ya count this one) while UNIB started in 2012 & hasn’t actually had a true sequel yet, just ports & new editions of the same game.

Not to mention the story mode is also so Blazblue oriented I dont think anyone going in without any BB knowledge would have been laid flat by the technobabble alone.

I think so, since alot of what makes Blaz Blue's story so convoluted, like the time loops, time travel, dense terminology, copious amounts of backstory and side material plot points aren't present in BBTAG.

only TV Tropes can give you imagining about the time stuffs (the paradoxes with Temporal Paradox article)

other series also use their own terminologies, only BB uses more foreign language for some. but the prologue explains the key terms pretty well. tbh, some terms like Black Beast or Six Heroes are blatant enough to understand.

i was also meant for those play BB not only BBTAG, but who cares for BBTAG? it's not canon anyway, BBTAG is just a spin-off.

um...sorry actually i meant for BBTAG one, why care much about the original story's terminology as BBTAG's story is non-canon; no connection to main BB one (although knowing characters...).

You're basically asking "Why do people care about something I don't care about" to which I say, that's your problem, not one with the game. Like...do you really need a reason to understand why people like something?

UNIB is actually fun and people should give it a shot.

I don't like it as much as Blazblue but it's still one of the better 2D fighters around.

French Bread pays so much attention to detail in UNIB. It's great.

Waldstein is one of my favorite characters of his archetype. I like him over Tager and Potemkin. The way French Bread makes the screen shake and how he's animated even walking forward gives him this nice sense of weight that goes beyond "I'm slow."

And he's got deceptively long reach, making him potentially better than Tager and Potempkin.

Their games are also pretty balanced. Like, the only bad character I think can think of is poor Enkidu.
