Not shocked about that. Camilla/Carmilla is the type.
A lack of respect towards the male gender as a whole combined with Vampiric cruelty makes for a very unfortunate Devil Forgemaster.
One Strip! One Strip!Really hope Alucard doesn't show up again, I didn't mind the focus he got last season but now it's getting into Creator's Pet territory.

We haven't seen what his role is this season. I think crying wolf is a bit premature at this stage.
Same. He's in the key art so he's definitely showing up, the question is how prominent he'll be since his daddy issues have been resolved.
But yeah I imagine Carmilla will be the main villain this time around, that or Hector will eventually find a way to free himself and kill her the way Isaac killed Godbrand. Carmilla seems like the type that is quite the Smug Snake and believes she's a lot more competent than she actually is. Dracula knew she would betray him as soon as she got the opportunity, after all, and she only got as far as she did with Hector's help.

I just happen to think the way he ended last season was the perfect cap off to his character arc and, if he ever came back, it would be in a distant sequel where he learns how to recconect with other people after several lifetimes of being the silent guardian of the Belmont keep and Castlevania.
You can even add adult Maria in that story too, I like her.
So he should stay asleep until the series gets to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which the odds of it reaching are...slim.
So he doesn't show up again.
A satisfying conclusion doesn't need to be a happy one.
I want to know if they'll ever get to Simon Belmont and have him be based on Smash Bros design.
I'd assume it'd be something like that.
I was never one for the slim Bishōnen Simon.
Even Konami seems to be leaning back to his beefier design in his reappearances.
One Strip! One Strip!Skinny redhead simon happened in an age when Bishonen exploded in popularity and number, partly because the west had just discovered them.
I blame Sesshomaru.
I feel like Alucard has to inevitably have a role in the season because he's now the master of Castlevania. The building is like the ultimate bastion of magical power and plot, I am sure Carmilla or Issac or both have their own designs for it.

That depends on if Ellis acknowledges the Creature of Chaos origin.
Considering the castles (ironically enough) more mundane status of Magitek in this series, it may no longer be quite as important as it was before.
Of course, maybe they are building up to that. We'll know in a month I suppose.
After this, we'll see what else is in store for this series. Will they move into Simon's era? Will Christopher get his time (as I'm realizing he's not really acknowledged all that much, even though he's not flat out non canon like the 64 games and COTM)?
Or will they finally just go full Adrian Tepes the series and skip straight to Symphony Of the Night?
One Strip! One Strip! Also I think the villain would be that guy looming over everyone in the Keyart. Wondering who that is, Shaft maybe.
The stories for the early games were not particularly deep, but I can see them drawing from the good parts of Mirror of Fate for Simon's backstory. Obviously not ''too' much considering Trevorcard being a big part of it, but it's something to go off of.
I'm still thinking for now that they might be pulling a Composite Character deal between Isaac and Shaft.

Huh. A dude I've been watching on Youtube did the same for a fan made Castlevania timeline (the second one he's done in fact).
It could work. I know there are some who aren't big on the Lords of Shadow timeline, but my obsession with the Combat Cross doesn't make me one of them. I feel like there's probably some good stuff there can be used to fill some characterization gaps.
It'd be incredibly awesome if they used some stuff from the Circle of the Moon and the legacy 64 games. Be nice for those guys to get some recognition outside of Cornell.
One Strip! One Strip!I mean it could be Death He hasn't made appearance so far iirc
I’ve seen the theory that Isaac is going to become Death
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat's my guess, personally.
It's what I've been thinking as well, since he does look somewhat like Zead and his disdain for humanity would be a good motivation to shed it. Combine Isaac, Zead, and Shaft into one singular bald Dracula devotee with a connection to Hector that lacks their goofier or unfortunate aspects.

Does anyone know how many episodes Season 3 is going to be?
Nope. I don't think they've said anything about it.
I think 8 might be a good opportunity though, especially if this time the plot moves faster. Season 2 was better than Season 1 length-wise but there was a lot of standing around and talking and character development that didn't let it really go anywhere. Season 3 might be better though since now we're well-acquainted with every character.
When the third season was first announced, it was confirmed to be 10 episodes.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Trailer for Season 3 is out.
Finally, was wondering when they'd release it.
Wait that Japanese vampire is still alive?!
