Wow. You chose a really fitting avatar.
As for this, it's gonna be bloody I'd assume.
One Strip! One Strip!Meh.
I think the name value of Urobuchi is grossly overrated anyway.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Mn. Urobuchi's output is pretty erratic in quality. Heard mixed reviews of the directors' works as well
The interesting thing is really the very SF imagery of the visual, though
It all depends on if he is actually writing the whole thing. If he is, I'm excited.
If I recall, Hideaki Anno is also supervising as a result of Shin Godzilla being extremely successful in Japan.
Watch SymphogearSo Anno and Urobuchi are working together if that's true? Man, that's quite a dream team.
If Tappei Nagatsuki could get on board, it would be the ultimate despair team.
Watch SymphogearEh, the 'big name writers' like Urobuchi is vastly overrated nowadays. I didn't like what Anno came up with for the franchise, so I guess I'll just lower my expectations.
Personally, I'd have Anno and Urobuchi work alongside Kunihiko Ikuhara. That'd be a dream come true.
Seriously though, Toho really seems to be going for big name talent for this franchise nowadays. First Anno and now Urobuchi.
Tappei Nagatsuki is far more fitting terms of being a despair inducing then ikuhara. He's considered to be the most sadistic light Novelist in Japan, even taking Urobutchi's title into consideration.
I also find Ikuhara to be a bit of a hack job in recent years, moreso then anno or Urobuchi. Yuri Bear Storm turned me off him as a director forever.
Watch SymphogearHuh so this is CG then?
Interesting.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."What's wrong with Ikuhara exactly? His work on Utena pretty much rivals that of Anno and Urobuchi's work for Evangelion and Madoka respectively.
Him working alongside those two on Godzilla or something else would be pretty awesome. Plus, he's good buds with Anno to begin with.
Polygon Pictures did Transformers Prime before they started doing CGI Anime.

Watch SymphogearIf this new Godzilla involves the Big G fighting other Kaiju, that would be dandy. And it should fill the niche left by Godzilla: The Series quite nicely.
(Yes, I'm one of those who thought that Zilla Jr. wasn't that bad. Now, Zilla Sr./"GINO", on the other hand...I hope that was the one that got trashed by the Big G in Godzilla: Final Wars.)
"Learn as if you will live forever, live as if you will die tomorrow."Being Godzilla is Suffering. But seriously, I am really looking forward to this. I've always wondered why Toho never did make a Godzilla anime of any kind before now. I mean it is their biggest cash cow mixed with a very successful medium, you'd think they would have jumped on that ship a long time ago.
@Icognito Ninja: You arn't the only one. I thought that version of Zilla and his show were actually pretty cool and a far better depiction of Godzilla then the one in the movie.

Watch SymphogearFirst concept art is out
That Mini-Mecha in the picture looks like a Walker from Return of the Jedi with arms.
Speaking of, isn't Hoth the snowy planet from The Empire Strikes Back? That concept art looks too lush in greenery to resemble Hoth...
EDIT: Looks more like Endor if it was going through a fog storm.

It looks like Dagobah, the swamp planet Yoda was on.
Not Three Laws compliant.(Smacks himself on the head for not thinking about Dagobah.)
First image of Godzilla. He's basically a Nightwalker version of the G 2 K design.
Been confirmed to be just fan-art
Aww this isn't a TV series.
I could see Khara doing a TV series later.

Polygon Pictures is animating it, the directors of Ajin and The Detective Conan movies will direct it, and the Urobutcher himself is scriptwriting.
