So one thing that's bugged me is where would characters like Syndrome or Scott Evil and Nigel Powers go?
They're clearly written to be Genre Savvy, but their savviness comes from knowledge of the conventions of the world they're actually in, so they're not Genre Savvy, but the writers are.
What would they fall under?
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. The supertrope Functional Genre Savvy.
Thanks. That's been bugging me for a while.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. The crowner is still heavily in favor of a merge. Can we call it?
For such a high profile trope, the number of votes is surprisingly small.
Anyway, I don't think the votes have stabilised quite yet. The crowner has only been hooked for a couple days. I believe policy and practice both say that crowners should only be called quickly if the vote is clear. This one has a small number of votes still, and is not unanimous.
But you can get started on dewicking right now. At least 60% of all links are misuse no matter what, and need to go sooner or later.
Since it looks like it will be cut and redirected, should we make it like Badass, where we have a list of alternate tropes for the sake of cleanup and since the term is popular and ingrained on this wiki?
Would such a list also be helpful for Genre Savvy?
No, because Dangerously Genre-Savvy only ever got confused with one thing. Unusually Smart Villain Which is not a trope. The rest all go into Genre Savvy now.
Badass is related to far more than Dangerously Genre-Savvy is.
Very well.
I've edited the quotes section to move any quote that fit other tropes, so there is one less thing for the inevitable cleanup.
Going to call the crowner in favor of making this a redirect.

Here is a list of things examples may be moved under:
- The Chessmaster
- Combat Pragmatist
- Crazy-Prepared
- No-Nonsense Nemesis
- Playing with a Trope
- Properly Paranoid
- Taught by Experience
I think we should consider the Evil Overlord List (the best example of what qualified) as normal Genre Savvy since the preamble "every Evil Overlord I've read about in books or seen in movies invariably gets overthrown and destroyed in the end" show it's an example of the (presumably) fictional persona's familiarity with in-universe fiction.
Here is the page picture if anyone can think of a good place to put it. [[Webcomic/TheOrderOfTheStick https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tarquins_tips_9670.jpg]]
The End of an Era is at hand, this was a very popular trope and I am doing all I can to save what of it is worth saving.
I've cut-listed the Quotes, Laconic, and Playing With pages.
3,880 to go!
...I'm gonna miss it :(

The Protomen enhanced my life. The trope was no good. I just wanted to save the name. Which was awesome.
The Anime, Video Game, and Western Animation subcategories have been cut-listed and removed.
Down to 3770 wicks.
FYI, Genre Savvy has 10000+ wicks, many of which need cleaning up themselves. I'd like to completely (if possible) zap Dangerously Genre-Savvy before redirecting it to Genre Savvy.
Also, down to less then 2000 wick here. All Pantheon and Sandbox Wicks cleaned out.

Down to less then 350 wick, this can be done tonight!
All that remains are locked pages and ghost wicks. Will flag a mod.
Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.
Well, from what I saw, about four percent of wicks were always just genre savvy, sixteen percent are now examples of genre savvy, sixteen percent are hard to figure out and the rest are pure misuse.
