I clicked here hoping for salt and confusion. I was not disappointed.

Funny that, Negan’s arrival on Walking Dead was the same time the ratings began to sink, and USA Today’s reviews became increasingly harsh.

Actually talking about Tekken 7 with another fan was nice before this reveal.

So...Negan from The Walking Dead's coming to Tekken 7?

I'm not very big on TWD, but at the same time, I don't feel the urge to cry foul.

Makes me wonder what'd happen if the next guest fighter was Meta Knight.

Somehow I'm not as salty as I thought I would be about Negan. I'm even interested in how they handle him, and I don't even watch The Walking Dead. Not for a while, anyway. Have I gotten desensitized to guest characters or something? :V

Also, is this the first time a TV character has been a guest fighter in a Fighting Game? It can't be, surely not (that wasn't a rhetorical statement, more an invitation for someone to say 'actually yes' or 'actually no', depending on which one is correct :V)

I'm just happy I'll get to play as Anna again. King was always my main since 3, but Anna kept climbing up and basically equaled him in 6. She looks like she's in her prime here so I can't wait.

Had a similar feeling seeing Lei come back. Eddy's my main whenever he's around but Lei held it down before him, and whenever I feel like wandering.

Any guesses for other returnees? I'm hoping they save Jun for something more story centric in 8, and we've got enough options aside from her that the one person I'm confident in returning is Julia, probably as Jaycee again.

Other than Jun, I'm holding out hope for Kunimitsu, Baek Doo San, Roger, Alex, Julia Chang, Tiger Jackson, Craig Marduk, Mrs Roger & Roger Jr, and Armor King.

I have a feeling that Marduk is basically guaranteed since a bunch of new stickers were found in the game's code or something a while ago, and one of them was a great big 'MARDUK' sign. :V

Fucking Negan is getting into Tekken? I have no words for that because it's incredible. Yes, I'm aware of how unpopular that opinion is here and other places, but I could not care less how well he "fits". It's super hilarious to see a western comic book character in a Japanese fighter.

I'm surprise Negan is coming to the game. Mortal Kombat i understand, but Tekken?

A western comic book character being in Japanese fighting isn't as unusual as you're making it out to be.

And there were better choices like Michonne or Daryl

What about his other brother Daryl?

I assume Daryl is too busy being trapped in Hideo Kojima's nightmare virtual world.

There was also Spawn in Soul Calibur.

Anyways, I hardly play this game (don't own it, but a friend of mine regularly plays and I've borrowed it a couple of times to see if I wanted to actually purchase it), but Anna's probably the only interesting reveal to me (she was my main back way back when Tekken was on the PS One). I'm completely nonplussed by this Walking Dead guy, but I don't find him be all that jarring. This same series has had Snoop Dog show up in it before, and to me that was the "this party's getting crazy" moment, not Noct, and definitely not Negan.

I don't know much about The Walking Dead, but I do know there is a character called King Ezekiel who has a pet tiger. So you should have him so he and Kazumi can throw their tigers at eachother all match long.

Snoop was a background/stage cameo. A little weird, but we've had all kinds of real world clothing line tie ins so I figured he was just kind of the logical progression of that.

Either way. He's only in the game to get a bunch of people who don't care about Tekken to pay attention to it, and I guess the same for the Walking Dead...? and judging by how stupid this thread got for a little while he succeeded.
