The shame of it all, now that I think about it, is that there are only so many characters that could be in the game, and only the well-known ones.

Imagine what would happen if you let the developers run wild. Really Really Big Man vs. El Grapadura. Wilbur Cobb vs. Rancid Rabbit. Stu Pickles vs. Hugh Neutron.

I'm back spent the whole day working on chapter 39, what did I miss...oh shit. Ha, I knew all those rosters I kept making were going to lead to somewhere eventually, yes!

Alright. General thoughts with all this news:

• Only two TMNT reps? Thought they were going with all four and Shredder. For now it makes sense, doesn't mean Don and Raph are deconfirmed. The 80s designs make some sort of sense: 03 can be a bit too edgy for some, 12 was a while ago, and they screwed over Rise, so I think it's cool.
• I wasn't sure if The Wild Thornberrys, Ren & Stimpy, Rugrats and Hey Arnold would get reps cuz I wasn't sure if they had anyone that could work as fighters (maybe the girl and chimp as a team, the duo would make sense but I haven't seen the show in forever, they're babies so not sure that would work, and I haven't seen Arnold in a while to know if he could have a moveset), but while I don't know anything about Powdered Toast man, I think that's a valid surprise. Helga makes sense. Reptar's cool, and Nigel..I should've seen him coming.
• The Spongebob reps, as much as I despise Patrick, make sense. I'm not one of those dudes upset Fire Emblem gets reps in Smash, but this time I legit think this should be the limit for Spongebob characters. Maybe Plankton, Krabs, Larry, or Man Ray & Dirty Bubble, but that's it.
• I also heard people worried about the number of Loud House rep but I'm not. I always said that Lincoln could work as a fighter: more of using his sisters for attacks, but he's fast and always used improvised weapons, so glad they found a way to make him his own fighter. And Lucy makes sense than the other Louds too, gives me a combination of Dexter's gameplay from Punch Time Explosion and Billy and Mandy's. I thought there'd be a third rep, either Clyde or Ronnie-Anne, but I think they're good with 2-3.
• I know jack about Oblina but she seems cool. We need those obscure picks.
• The box art yeah, I see Cat Dog, Ren/Stimpy, Aang, and Korra. Though I swear one of those silhouettes was supposed to be an image of Blik from Catscratch

So that's 18 fighters confirmed so far. Punch Time Explosion had 26 characters, and Kart Racers had 30 in total, so I'm assuming 12 fighters are left.

Assuming the limit is 2-3 characters per franchise, my choices would be (starting with the more iconic franchises):

• Glitch Techs, Miko and Five, either seperately or as a duo.
• TMNT, I wouldn't mind seeing Shredder or the other turtles but it depends.
• Timmy. He wasn't in Globs of Doom with no explanation, absent from MLB, absent from Kart Racers 1 and 2. This can't be a Butch Hartman thing either, Danny was in all of these. FOP might get only one rep, but if we get another or it's not the lead (Helga over Arnold), I could see Crimson Chin or Crocker getting in.
• Vlad. There's like no villains on this roster, and Punch Time Explosion had three (Father, Mojo Jojo, Vilgax) and XL added a few more (Him, Aku, Tolietnator), and if Danny Phantom were to get another member, he's the obvious choice.
• Jimmy Neutron. I get Zim technically have similar attributes, but Jimmy's made 134 inventions. How he didn't make it in Kart Racers is still a shock.
• If Avatar gets another rep, it's either going to be Zuko or Toph. If TMNT, Spongebob, and Loud House are limiting spots to three, I could see Zuko at worst getting in, or they might leave it as is.

(For the semi obscures but possible choices)

• El Tigre: Manny has to get in this game.
• Chalkzone: Snap would be hard to incorporate since he...doesn't actually have powers, but with Rudy or using the fact he's a being made of chalk, there's definitely a moveset possible for him.
• Tuff Puppy: Either Dudley or Kitty. Feels like the latter is more well liked and is the better fighter.
• My Life As a Teenage Robot: Jenny and Vexus, at the very least, Jenny has to make it in. She's the ultimate Cult Classic and Vexus would be such a surprise since she's one of the deadliest Nicktoons villains.
• Fanboy and Chum Chum: Kyle. He's the only character everyone generally agrees upon is likable, and he's got a crap ton of spells that works.
• Harvey Beaks: haven't seen enough to judge, but it's possible they could get a rep.

(For the REALLY obscure choices)

• The Xs: I could see one of the Thursdays being a WTF pick, but they would work.
• Someone from Catscratch, most likely Mr. Bilk
• Tak is a possibility. They seem like they can go for surprise picks, and people remember him enough. After all, he made it into Toybots and Globs of Doom. Traloc doesn't need to come back.
• The Mighty B(essie)...ehhhh
• Welcome to the Wayne: Team Timbers has way too many members, and at least one of them would be cool, but I haven't watched enough to figure out which one would work best.
• Kid Danger is a maybe, I legit thought with his animated show, he was going to make it in Kart Racers 2 but didn't.
• Anyone unironically want Jo Jo Siwa back? And let Dababy cameo lol.
• Sanjay and Craig: In terms of the "annoying duos," Sanjay and Craig could work over the Breadwinners duo, but I'm not holding my breath
• Rocket Power: This is a hard one cuz I can see a sports player working, but Rocket Power's characters aren't exactly the most likeable and they're going to have to get really creative. I could see a recovery with Otto or Reggie using a ramp though.
• Backyard: Otis is a possibility but I'm not sure.
• Planet Sheen: Sheen has enough from both shows to work as a moveset. He's had telepathy and psychic powers, dancing martial arts, the monkey forces squad, and Ultra Mega Sheen. I could see him in as a second Jimmy Neutron rep, but barely.
• Odds anyone from Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, Angry Beavers, As Told By Ginger, It's Pony can work?

(For the near impossible choices)

• Unless Dreamworks and Nickelodeon worked out a deal: I don't think we can get Po, the Penguins, or anyone from Monsters vs Aliens.
• Kappa Mikey would be freaking awesome, but isn't its status as a Nicktoons kinda unclear? Mikey would totally be a perfect supehero parody filled with Japanese texts and jokes in his attacks.
• Haven't seen Middlemost Post
• Pinky Malinky...no idea.
• Bunsen....possible?
• Making Fiends: Vendetta would be one of the craziest characters and such a cool since she can create fiends, and the ones in show we've seen are her hamster, the bird, giant cat she can't control, but the others are in the web series, and it sounds like Nick cut ties with the creator.

Either way, I'm excited, and unlike King of Fighters 15, I can actually get this on SWITCH!

So when we going over to the Cartoon Network forum to pitch Punch Time Explosion 2?

I'm not sure, but whatever they are, they're sure to be Smashing.

Also, the television rights for Garfield are now owned by Nickelodeon, so Garfield could totally be added to this game.

Honestly, I kinda wish they didn't go with the 80s cartoon Turtles because they have had no shortage of representation lately; they not only made a guest appearance in Brawlhalla and some MOBA I don't know, but are even getting a new Turtles in Time style beat em up. That and they technically predate the Nicktoons.

I'm just kind of tired of the 1987 cartoon being the de facto representation of the franchise even if it is why the franchise is famous at all.

I'm pretty sure we would have gotten Rise's turtles if that show was still on the air. I think 80's is just what they go with when nothing else is being promoted.

They still have a movie coming out on Netflix.

I'd have been fine with Rise Turtles showing up, if only for their capacity for interesting movesets.

I think there's a way they could do all the Turtles:

• 80s=Leo
• 03=Mikey
• 12=Raph
• Rise=Donatello

If Raph and Donny make in of course. If we get three reps at minimum, either them or Shredder are in.

Is their any character we DON'T want in the game?

I'm honestly questioning the size of the roster because all four Turtles usually make it in these kinds of crossovers.

Stages are going to be a real bottleneck. The IGN article claims there's 20 stages, and the trailer showed off about 13. Spongebob and TMNT are tied with three stages, while Loud House seemingly has two.

Characters I don't want? Uh, I'm usually fair game about this. I guess, light of Kart Racers 2, Jojo Siwa? I would be surprised if there's some playable inclusion of Nick's live action fair.

• Krusty Krab
• Jellyfish Park
• Loud House
• don't know what the second Loud House place would be.
• Chum Bucket
• TMNT Lair
• NYC Rooftops
• Shredder's lair?

So seven stages left. Avatar has to get a stage at the very least. The rest I don't know. Maybe Rugrats and Danny Phantom might get one, we usually get Amity Park as a locale in these Nicktoons games.

If Jo Jo came back, I think it would actually help the game because of how bizarre she would be, and so that when certain puritans only complain about an LGBT character, the game just gets more advertising lol.

Kid Danger would be a weird one. People are so split on the show, but with that small animated series he had, he's the only live action Nickelodeon character that would make sense. I wouldn't complain if he's in, but I wouldn't hold my breath either.

The Super Brawl series, for example, had some inclusion from the live-action stuff like The Thundermans, Henry Danger (and technically Kid Danger due to designs), and Space Whale.

In fact, Super Brawl Universe might give us a good idea for characters already translated in 3D (like Jenny Wakeman).

Well that's a relief, thanks for the stages, trailer went by so fast I missed most of them.

I'm watching Welcome to the Wayne after finally having the time for it beyond the random episodes I can find and the season finale and wow this show is super underrated and I'm already on the pilot and episode 1.

Like people calling this a Gravity Falls is kinda dumb, just because they have pre-teens solving mysteries in an unknown location? By that logic, Gravity Falls ripped off Scooby Doo because they both involve a group of under 18 year olds solving mysteries. That and we don't get a lot of animated shows set in hotels on kids channels. Like Jessie and Suite Life were both live action, ex, and Hotel Transvilyvania is well...movies

That and I wanna see if there's a character from Team Timbers I think would fit All Star Brawl. I think Goodness is the best, but it's been a while since I've seen that episode, and I think for now, Seralina or Olly would be good choices with the Snatch Adams and Grapvine.

Plus someone pointed this out, the Wayne would be a perfect stage. A hotel filled with monsters.

Funny thing I was on the yugioh forum, and didn't Marc Thompson and Veronica Taylor play like Astral and a ton of other characters while VT's the first voice actress for Ash? I didn't notice the henchman as Marc but the first time I heard the Spy from Apartment 8I, I knew that voice sounded familar.

Welcome To The Wayne has two voice directors, Darren Dunstan (who's in New York) and Sam Riegel (who's in Los Angeles, but he used to work in New York) . As such, you get a nice mix of New York and Los Angeles based voice actors.

About the only thing they have in common is the element of mystery,one is definately real (gravity falls) and the other is nearly always fake* (scooby)

• I'm speaking generally,since Scooby Do does have episodes with real monsters
