Since I assume this continues from other Yugioh RP's, would it be required to know what happened in those to join?
I see. All right, now to decide if I want to use HER Os, Noble Knights or Plants...
While I won't outright restrict any archtypes that aren't "Sacred Cards" (i.e. Wickeds, Sacred Beasts, etc.), Jaden is making appearances in this RP, so if you use HER Os you'll either have a likely idol or feel entirely in awe and powerless after seeing him Duel.
Of course, a lot of his purpose is to awe the student body one way or the other ;D
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!Ooh, Jaden's in this? Awesome. I guess that means I'll have to focus on the non-anime cards for variety.
Then effortlessly curb-stomp him to show just how awesome my guy is.
Jaden uses multiple decks. They're also generally... less luck-based than the show.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!East Academy in Israel? Great minds think a like, t'hehehehe-
Anyway, INTEREST! INTEREST! INTEREST!
Yes. Interest. All the way across the sky.
Yeah, I'm in the same boat as and .
"Why does everything have to loop back to YGO?" -Guy who ruined YGOBTW, calling dibs on Mecha Phantom Beasts before Plummet waltzes in.
The voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the groundI am interested and will definitely make a character at some point after I get back from Otakon.
TV Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!Hm, yeah, decided on Plants.
I think I'll go with Hero's.
TV Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!Gladiator Beasts. The chances of someone else using them are kinda slim, but I would like to clarify that they are what I'm going to be running.
Mecha Phan-
Damn you Dizzle!
Naw, seriously though, Batteryhunders (based on this deck◊ for I was my original plan anyway, so neener ne ne neener Des (also, I wouldn't run MPBs when I have them in another RP anyway)
Anyway, that does urge me to ask, Xyz, Numbers and Rank-Up Magic... are they a thing? Bearing in mind the only anime I've watched is the first parts of Zexal, I hope they're permitted.

Curse the ill fortune that led you to me.Interest, I'm not certain what type of deck I'll use yet
Definetly going with either Hero's or Noble Knights.

TV Tropes Powers. Activate!!!!!Wow this blew up while I went to eat! All are welcome, of course ^-^
And des, I must confess that I took the idea of East Academy being in Israel from your RP. It fit, and it gave me a place for Ryu to end up XD
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!I'm a bit interested in the RP too. Last Yugioh one I signed up for didn't get off the ground.
I'm planning on using the Mesmerizing Maneater deck I had made for the last one.
Oh, and on the question of xyz- yes. I don't know what rank up magic is, though.
However, I'm extremely un-knowledgable on the xyz's as they haven't been in a videogame in the West yet.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!- Name: Zaqiel "Just call me Zaq" Reyvana
- Age: 16
- Origin: He is an American, and has gotten into dueling by "contacting ancient spirits of evil". In reality, he watched some people dueling, thought it looked fun, and decided he wanted to try it.
- Duel Spirit: Archfiend Commander, a dark and powerful spirit that, while seeming cruel and enjoying inflicting pain...is actually rather frightened of his holder.
- Appearance: He wears a variation on the Academy outfit for a second year. He wears a custom blazer with gold and black as a color scheme, a black shirt with a glaring red eye motif at the center, he wears black leather pants, steel toed boots, and a full blown "tattered red shoulder cape of an evildoer." He seems to have a very pale countenance and silver hair with light blue eyes, seeming to be albine, though he says he's not an albino.
- Personality: Zaq tells many different life stories and origin stories for himself, but the true one is that he was born into a family that had joined a doomsday cult, and he found his way out on his own, but as a result of his time there, he picked up some pretty interesting personality quirks. He seems to enjoy finishing duels in as destructive and quick a manner as possible, thoroughly enjoying using nightmarish monsters and strategies. He finds most forms of suffering to be funny, though he draws the line somewhere. He does know, though, that his bizarre personality is not normal, that normal people are not like him, and is trying to acclimate to normal society. He seems to enjoy taking the blame for misfortune, pretending to be "The nefarious Big Bad." He claims "its easier that way". He is, though, very, very protective of his friends, and once he's friends with you, in his own odd way, he's very friendly and surprisingly nice.
- Duel Disk: A black and grey Duel Disk with Spikes of Villainy jutting outward from the part around the deck.
- Goals: He wants to first reign as the "Dark Duel King" of the Academy, and then "take over the world of pro dueling".
- Deck List: Daemons, Chaos and Other Fun Things
- Monsters: 23
- 3x Archfiend Heiress

Nick, yours looks good, though it reminds me of one more thing. Can you please add an Origin area for Zaq? Like his country of origin and how he got in to Dueling? Thanks.
Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!Added it for him.
Ten years after the infamous “Cultist Invasion” and nine after the Malefic Incident, Duel Academy is back on track. Things have been calm; dimensions haven’t been rent, psyches haven’t been shattered, and Duel Academy has returned to a relative state of normalcy.
However, big changes are in store this year. A major reshuffling of dorms and new teaching methods added to Duels will cause a huge stir among the students as they strive to become the next monarch of Duel Monsters.
This year, instead of Slifer Red, Ra Yellow, and Obelisk Blue, the dorms are arranged by year. The (vastly improved) Slifer Dorms become the New Arrivals, Ra becomes second year students, and Obelisk third years. But what of the fourth years?
Instead of one centralized fourth year dorm, duelists are instead sorted into “Special Dorms” by their fourth year, though it could happen earlier. Special Dorms are each taught with special attention from a teacher with the students’ skillset in mind; Professor Saturday’s Cyber Style Dojo Dorm accepts only the best Machine-focused students each year and teaches them the specializations of various archetypes in the Machine type as well as common counters and blocks for these strategies.
Students unsorted by their fourth year are simply shuffled from dorm to dorm, but are generally looked down upon (and more options are available than listed here, as many students transfer to one of the other four academies to finish their schooling). If you think of a specific Special Dorm you want, ask and I might add it.
Duel Academy Staff:
Cyrus Cain, Headmaster: A Sharp-Dressed Man who has owned and operated the island since before his graduation, Cyrus is 28. Blind and with a dark past, Cyrus has adjusted well to life as headmaster and regularly interacts with the student body. Cyrus is also technically the head of state of the nation of Duel Academy. He is accompanied by his ancient Duel Spirit, The Wicked Avatar. Avatar is powerful and dark, but he isn’t malicious.
Professor Barnaby Loatheless, Dorm Head (Male New Arrivals, Spirit Duelists), Ancient History, Deck Building Basics: When Barnaby came to the island ten years ago as the new Slifer Red dorm head, he didn’t know how to duel, was introverted, and could barely get through a lecture. Suffice to say, he’s changed a lot. One of the most normalizing forces on the island, Barnaby has mastered Duel Monsters through various trials by fire, usually to protect students or his family. Barnaby has been helping the most inexperienced duelists on the island since he arrived, and continues to do so, as he knows exactly how it is to feel left behind. His Duel Spirit, Colossal Fighter, fought by him in the deepest reaches of the Shadow Realm, and they are truly a force to be reckoned with.
Professor Angela Loatheless, Dorm Head (Female New Arrivals, Furies), Metagame Theory, Psychology, School Therapist: Angela is Barnaby’s wife. Having recently finished her doctorate, she has returned to Duel Academy full time as a teacher and Dorm Head. A staunch supporter of more female duelists, she pushed for the Furies Special Dorm and was approved. She is also a therapist, determined to not let anybody else get to the dark places she has been in before. Shinato, King of a Higher Plane stands beside her as her Duel Spirit.
Vash Goku Armstrong, Dorm Head (Male Year 2), English (Literature, Composition): Armstrong is, how to say… energetic. Over-the-top and known for his spine-crushing bear hugs, he also enforces curfew… sometimes too enthusiastically. Part of the security force.
Benjamin Rex Saturday, Dorm Head (Male Year 3, Cyber Style Dojo), Driving, Turbo Duels, Duel Tactics: Saturday is similar to Armstrong in many ways; enthusiastic about everything, gung-ho to the max, and… a little off. Known for driving his (no longer red) Big Red Mk. II Duel Runner indoors, Saturday also calls down orbital support from his Duel Spirit, The Big Saturn. Part of the security force.
Kira and Rai Cain, Gym, English as a second language, Italian, Japanese: “Ki Rai” is Cyrus’s adoptive sibling. They are split personalities, with Rai being extremely bouncy and Kira being more serious. Their cybernetic limbs make them nigh superhuman in some ways. They are both bonded with a Planet Spirit, Kira with The Tyrant Neptune and Rai with the Splendid Venus.
Doctor Blair Flannigan, Dorm Head (Female Year 2), School Physician: Blair is the extremely protective school physician. She often helps with the Furies, but otherwise has stepped back from the dueling scene.
Miranda Tsunami, Dorm Head (Female Year 3, Ritual Raiders), math: semi-renowned female duelist.
Mokuba “Moe” Kaiba, Technology, Dorm Head (Illusionists): Moe has agreed to become an official member of Duel Academy after years of living on the island as the tech specialist. He designed much of the tech used on DA today, including the massive Convergence Arena that allows Duels to become visible across the entire island.
A short description of each Special Dorm:
Spirit Duelists: Only for high-aptitude students who are spiritually sensitive, especially those who are partnered with a Duel Spirit. Professor Loatheless teaches not only how to maximize your Spirit’s potential, but also how to bond with them.
Furies: A female-only Special Dorm, Angela Loatheless spends extensive time helping especially promising female duelists and setting them on track for the Pro Leagues. The most famous Special Dorm of Duel Academy, the powerhouse Tag Duelists Anna O’Grady and Tsuki Sazarame made a serious name for the group as they took the Pro Leagues by storm.
Cyber Style Dojo: While not actually focusing exclusively on the Cyber Style cards, Professor Saturday teaches students who wield Machine decks how to maximize impact and minimize losses. And yes, it is a literal dojo.
Ritual Raiders: Professor Tsunami shows students how to perfect Ritual Decks with powerful cards that make summoning the rare blue borders easy and worthwhile.
Illusionists: Moe shows students the ins and outs of Spellcaster decks.
Now, for you, the students! Here’s a simple sign-up sheet:
Now, in addition to the above teachers, a few other potentially important NP Cs are:
River Loatheless: A second-year student and Barnaby and Angie’s adoptive son. He grew up on the island after the Cultist Incident, and had a complicated childhood before that. An extremely promising Duelist (which growing up on Duel Academy probably helped), he is named after the student who gave his life to save the island during the Cultist Incident.
Scott Harold: An alumnus of DA and successful Pro Leaguer, Scott occasionally drops by DA to give lectures or help with exam duels.
Jerry Parker: Scott’s publicized rival, Jerry withdrew from the Pro Leagues to help teach in West Academy, the survival-based Duel Academy in the western United States. He still drops by other schools to help, and leads The Pack, a Duel Team-turned-Special Dorm based on Tag Duels.
Ryu Al-Kajima: Noted Warrior specialist and leader of The Pack in the Israel-based East Academy.
Sean Abue: Main sponsor of The Pack. Like Jerry and Ryu, an alumnus of DA and returns to help with exams.
Michael Lane: A Pro Duelist who teaches in the off-season at the icy North Academy. Currently holds both the title of Turbo Duel King of North America and the world record for most crashed Duel Runners, which he blames on his showmanship.
Blake O'Grady: An associate of Cyrus's and renowned Duelist Anna O'Grady's older brother, Blake runs the biggest Duel Mafia on the planet. However, he feels protective toward Duel Academy, especially since they took good care of his little sister.
