That was fast, but then again, this did come out half a year ago.
It's been 3000 years…This is one of my favorite reviews now, because it's really a fair and honest one.
Have to give credit for doing full reviews and not editorials in a time like this.
The funny thing about the Deviant Art joke is that someone in Disney's official marketing department seems to think Elsa and Anna are a lesbian couple, as opposed to sisters.
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.god damn Elsa Anna shippers
New theme music also a boxHoly shit, even all these months later Doug still doesn't understand that Anna's "Next Right Thing" song was about her feelings of loss toward Elsa, NOT Olaf. Olaf's death was confirmation that Elsa "died", and that's the main thing that drove Anna's grief during the song. I can't believe he's so obtuse that he apparently needs that to be spelled out to him.
EDIT: What do you know, it WAS spelled out to him. Too late to matter for the review, but at least he finally gets it.

Did NC ever review Birdemic?
Really? When did he do that?
Just a person. He/him.Looking it up, it was a Tamara's Never Seen episode, not a NC episode.
I don't know, it's old collab.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I saw that film, at a theater no less, it was really meh.
Stray observations:
- "Man, I disagree with their politics but I can watch Pornhub faster!" Though this skit didn't really follow the "Aliens still haven't got a proper name" from the moment before.
- "He's adopted."
- "Did I mention 'uh-larm' was spelled like this?"
- "Does this mean I missed your birthday?" "Yes, it does." "Happy birthday." "Thank you."
- "Did you wish her happy birthday?" "Of course I did, I'm not a douchebag." This running gag was very funny.
- Shame Rob didn't get to do his Jeff Goldblum impression.
- "Wait, am I in this?"
- "Who will I go to the beach with?!"
- "Hey, remind me, am I Bill Pullman or Bill Paxton?"
- "But the President said they were just like the flu!"
- That wasn't Brent Spiner's "doctor friend," but his husband.

Just a person. He/him.Seems like he's softened his attitude towards Goldblum.
It’s nice of him to reference The Boys with with that A-Train comment.
I saw it in the cheap theater. Thing was it actually had a lot of pretty decent stuff, the Worldbuilding with the Alternate History that resulted since 1996 was rather cool, the broad plot points imitates the original but does deviate quite a bit in places and even Hemsworth's character kind of grew on me (he's remains a lot more professional than Dylan and other elite squad members, and is David's go-to guy because he's reliable). But I think it got sabotaged from Will Smith not returning and the whole thing had too much momentum to stop production, they needed equally charismatic characters to fill in that gap and no one was up for the job. Even Emmerich regrets the movie for that reason.
Man, I didn't watch the movie, but all the exposition is really painfull.
Also glad he didn't overly recite the Boomer meme, that was one of his not-so-great jokes.

"Boomer will... ooh, umm... we'll getcha another Boomer."

I've watched both of the movies and this one is bland as hell.
It's been 3000 years…The "Boomer shall live" deal came when he was trying to make a meme out of every video. He's backed away from that because memeing everything can be creatively exhausting and he got tired of repeating his memes to phones like "Bat Credit Card!"
A bit of side note, but here're couple of recent-ish side-projects:
First, a series from Doug where he reviews a cartoons that are a bit darker in nature called Dark Toons:
And from Walter, we have series where he reviews the first 31 episodes of Batman: The Animated Series during whole May called Bat-May:
I was sure that Doug would get negative feedback for speaking highly of any of John K's work, but based on Youtube comments, that hasn't happened...
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them. There's still some pretty good stuff in Ren & Stimpy. ofc I have no qualms saying Bob Camp and co. did much of the heavy lifting there, considering aside from, y'know, him being an actual pedophile, Adult Party Cartoon and Cans Without Labels had him unrestrained...and turned out to be piping hot garbage.

Self-serious autistic metalhead who goes by any pronouns. (avvie template source)He perfectly summed up why "Stimpy's Fan Club" is one of my favorite episodes. You just didn't see this level of emotion in a cartoon of the time, and it still holds up with the variety of expressions and quality of the voice acting.

I honestly prefer "Sven Hoek" as an episode where Ren devolves into homicidal rage. The animation, voice acting, and the damn sounds work well together to be terrifying without being visually explicit, leaving all of what Ren plans to do in your imagination.
It's been 3000 years…
Frozen II:
No stray observations from me this time, as I haven't seen the movie yet.
