Kovu isn't his biological son. That's made explicit. Because then his romance with Kiara would be icky.

They made it a thing in The Lion King remake where Scar is bitter that Sarabi chose Mufasa over him and is constantly pressuring her to be around him.

[up] If the movie weren't unrealistic on other parts, Scar's behavior would be outright natural. Rogue male lions are incels in real life 24/7 by nature

We finally have a summary for the Haunted Mansion Original Graphic Novel by IDW! [1]

Welcome, foolish mortals... to the Haunted Mansion, where the crypt doors creak and the tombstones quake. The happy haunts are getting ready to throw a swinging wake, and all the goblins and ghoulies are invited, so be sure to bring your death certificate! Sidney is the newest resident of the Haunted Mansion, a retirement home for wayward ghosts. Now she has to learn how to scare visiting mortals in order to earn her keep—all while resident mean ghost Constance is out to make it all as difficult as possible! But with the help of our favorite grim, grinning ghosts, Sidney just might pull it off

Took them long enough. They first announced it in spring last year, with a set release date in September 2019.

Nice to see it's back. I thought it was dead ever since the artist began posting some lost art of it a few years ago.

[up][up]. IDW’s constant Schedule Slip continues to drive me crazy.

Other than that, I actually think it looks adorable, and already seems to get why people like the Haunted Mansion more than either the movie or the Disney Kingdoms miniseries did.

As the coronavirus situation still goes on, senior Disney executives are taking pay cuts to save money.

While new CEO Bob Chapek is shaving his salary by 50%, his predecessor (and current executive chairman) Bob Iger has chosen to give up his whole salary for the entire year. surprised

Do what you can for others, but keep enough for you so you can still live sounds like a good lesson for this crisis.

They can afford it, but the gesture is admirable.

Unlike the character he plays on TV, Tituss Burgess made his mark on Broadway a long time ago. His biggest break came in 2007, when he originated the role of Sebastian in Broadway’s 'Little Mermaid'. But all the while he was playing a talking crab, Burgess had his sights set on a different role. Unfortunately, pitching the powers that be on a black gay man playing Ursula the sea witch didn’t go so well — but at least a packed audience at Burgess’s appearance at Vulture Festival Saturday night was treated to the actor’s rendition of “Poor Unfortunate Souls.” “Maybe they’ll get their act together, put me in that movie,” he said. Someone get that man a white beehive and some tentacles immediately!

I would not watch with kids around.

It's an unpopular opinion, but I've never been a huge fan of Tituss Burgess' take on of Poor Unfortunate Souls. He tends to lose the song and/or the emotion that carries it. Ultimately it's like listening to someone recite rather than sing it, and imo it's not really the kind of number where that works: it's very much an in-character song. On the flipside, I've always loved [up] that version of Gaston because they lean into the personality of the number.

Granted, I'm not a fan of the way Poor Unfortunate Souls has to be adapted onto the stage in general.

[up] Any good so far?

I liked the first couple books, but they kinda got a bit overly dark and exposition heavy later in the series.

Now that I think about it, has Tony Baxter or anyone who worked on Disneyland Paris ever explained why their it's a Small World is so different than any other version of the ride?

I know that the facade was inspired by other Mary concept art, but why is the art style so different on the inside?

God, I still can’t unhear the voice actor switch after Jeremy irons hurt his voice from the singing.
