Istr the Western genre having a quick revival in the nineties, around Dances with Wolves and Unforgiven. Those were the days where movies like City Slickers (comedic takes) and The Quick and the Dead with Sharon Stone (female oriented take) thrived briefly and then the genre returned to obscurity.
>Pete stops it after a cliffhanger, explaining that Woody's Roundup was cancelled before airing the conclusion
The In-Universe Darkwing Duck show in Duck Tales 2017 also ended up in a cliffhanger that was not resolved as the series was not renewed. Perhaps it is a wink of sorts?

May 19, 2024 is coming in less than a month. Is the internet at a point where a majority consensus dictates Star vs. the Forces of Evil to be viable for the Condemned by History label?
Its fans have been slowing down lately in terms of how often Fan Works of the show crop up — as well as how vocal they can possibly be in general in how they can obsess about the show. From being occasional to just nearly invisible all of a sudden. I know I'm not alone in thinking these fans could possibly get on my nerves too.
Doesn't help that we have The Owl House now, and I often really have a habit of comparing the two shows. I've watched the first two episodes already and it's royalty (or king) compared to SvtFOE in my opinion.

"Some people are damaged. Some people are really damaged. And then... some people are broken."I tried Owl House as I love the art style but didn't care for the characters or the humor especially King. Found him annoying, hate his voice. I'm sorry it wasn't to my tastes but I know many people loved it. I also have friends who are fans of Harry Dresden books which I also didn't take to. I think I basically don't like urban fantasy, sorry.
I do respect how Owl House pushed LGBT representation to the forefront. Good on them for that.
see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532I personally prefer Owl House. It’s less chaotic and more chill.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.I don't know I'd go that far. Star's fourth season is definitely hated by a LOT of people, but the show as a whole still is liked.. even if it does feel like it's gotten less popular compared to Disney's other cartoons. The reputation of Season 4 is probably what's keeping a lot of people away frommit now, which is honestly a shame to see.

I'm so glad it resonated strongly with you. I love it when people find new fandoms to enjoy. Of the new-ish Disney shows I really only cared for Tangled.

see my completed Tangled (Varian) fanfic collection! https://archiveofourown.org/works/24467056/chapters/59049532I'm not sure if it's liked in a general sense. Maybe it's a 50/50 split between both hate and like (not love). Even then I can vouch for The Owl House being SvtFOE but done better because the SvtFOE equivalent of Luz Noceda is someone I vehemently dislike for a lot of reasons, who has become a character that I ended up not clicking at all with — while Luz Noceda herself is someone I feel like I can actually relate to. Luz's bisexuality is admirable considering I'm a closeted bicurious person (among other closeted things).

"Some people are damaged. Some people are really damaged. And then... some people are broken."You mean Owl House has a 50/50 split or Star has a 50/50 split?
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Star vs. the Forces of Evil. Not The Owl House.
"Some people are damaged. Some people are really damaged. And then... some people are broken."I haven't heard of anyone who outright hated The Owl House. There are people who love it and people who don't care for it.
Meanwhile so far I've not liked the experience of SvtFOE (not done with the show yet!) and there are things in it that absolutely piss me off. Sure, there are still small hints of good in the show, but all the bad stuff makes said little moments of good not worth it if you ask me.

"Some people are damaged. Some people are really damaged. And then... some people are broken."Owl House is amazing but I just couldn't get into Star that much.
I WANTED to get into Star but I felt like it was too late because I had only really noticed it by the time it was on the last episode.
New theme music also a boxI started out watching Star Vs. but fell off around when Season 2 ended. Imagine my surprise when the show was thrust back onto my radar when the finale aired.
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"Now that we're in National Princess Week, here's one of my favorite thoughts to ponder. :)
Making ladies like Cinderella and Aurora into knights is a very cool and fun idea. And it's a lot cooler than when they did it to Maid Marian in the Russell Crowe version of Robin Hood. :P
Flora is the most beautiful member of the Winx Club. :)x16 I thought it was unrelated to the show an in fact just showed it was canceled, since it felt like some sort of finale. We only see Woody playing a guitar and a kid hugging it.
In fact at the climax Jessie and Woody repeatedly echoed not knowing what happened afterwards.

Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life. The cover of the Blu-Ray of "Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin" on Disney Movie Club's site uses the cover of the 2011 "Winnie the Pooh" movie.

It’s “Under The Sea” in Brazilian Portuguese, from Disney’s Adventures in Samba.

(Honestly, looking at the track listing, I'm not sure I want to know what a samba version of "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" sounds like, though most of the tunes fit well with the genre.)

My favorite track is actually the cover of “Heigh Ho,” which you would *not* expect to sound that good as a samba.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Speaking of Pooh's Grand Adventure, I recently watched the 2011 Winnie the Pooh film for the first time.
Aside from it being released concurrently with Harry Potter, I wonder if another reason it didn't do as well is because the main plot is basically the same as Pooh's Grand Adventure (Christopher Robin is off at school, and Owl misinterprets a note left by Robin, and they think he's in danger).
If I had a nickel for every film where Emma Stone falls off a balcony... I'd only have two nickels, but weird that there's two of them.
Apparently, according to Meaningful Background Event, when Woody first sees the "Woody's Finest Hour" tape at Al's place, Pete stops it after a cliffhanger, explaining that Woody's Roundup was cancelled before airing the conclusion. Later, Woody plays the same tape when the other toys come to rescue him. After Buzz delivers his Armor-Piercing Question and leaves, the tape keeps going in the background: the show's Woody asks "Everybody okay?" and Jessie responds "Sheriff Woody! I knew you'd make it!", indicating that Pete was lying and the cliffhanger was resolved after all.
