Silver Linings Playbook. Can't really decide whether I liked it or not; suffice it to say it had its pros and cons.

Men in Black 3. It was...better than the second one, anyway.

Battleship. It was better than the critics said (and better than Skyline) and was a relatively enjoyable popcorn flick if you liberally apply the MST3K Mantra.

Sure it wasn't as good as Battle Los Angeles but as far as modern Alien Invasion movies not set in the future go, nothing ever will be.

Mega Piranha.

It's actually Worse Than It Sound. Ending pretty cool though.

After a direct nuclear strike fails to kill the Piranhas the hero works out his best bet is to lead a crack team of Navy seals divers and fight them in hand to hand combat. Under the rationale if they can injury a few with surgical attacks then they'll turn on each other in a feeding frenzy.

To Wong Foo Thanks For Everything. This movie was underwhelming. Not even the promise of Blade in drag could save it. And Patrick Swayze gets felt up by a male cop who thinks he's a lady, and it's not a plot that goes anywhere.

The depiction of black drag queens in this movie was misleading, except for Ru Paul, which is the counterargument to this movie's lackluster drag depictions.

I have been watching a shitload of these kinds of movies because Rantasmo is why.

[up][up]I know right?grin

Last film I saw in theatres I saw was Life Of Piπ

. Can't say I liked the pop spiritually. But the core story of a boy lost at sea with a hungry bengal tiger for company is brilliant.

don't know why they needed the twist ending

Abby. Everything you could ever want in a shameless blaxploitation knockoff of The Exorcist, and then some! Even an exploding disco ball! I’d seen this before but watched it again for the purpose of sharing with a curious friend. He walked away quite satisfied from this experience.

Last seen in the theater: Beasts of the Southern Wild. It quite literally made me physically ill thanks to the non-stop shakycam. Seriously, at first I thought I had food poisoning or the flu but no, it was the movie.

Kon-Tiki. It was pretty great, though I don't agree with all the artistic liberties they took with the story.
