Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

Re Lightbulbs For A Face: Sending back to YKTTW works as well. From the looks of it, some had noted that it Needs A Better Title during YKTTW stage, but s/he was ignored. As was the mod request for getting rid of or fleshing out the Zero Context Examples.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Cerberus Logic seems to have been launched before the YKTTW discussion on it was even completely sure what it meant.
- Strike one: nonsensical name with horrific case of Trope-Namer Syndrome.
- Strike two: no examples on trope page.
- Strike three: zero hats.
It breaks the baseball analogy, but snowclones (in this case, of Cerebus Retcon and/or Cerebus Syndrome via misspelling of "Cerebus") are discouraged as well.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpSend author a PM about procedure here, then torch it.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenCutlisted the page and PM'ed the OP, but I think the trope might be salvageable (near as I can tell, the intended meaning is "hero who only got involved because he was attacked personally" or something to that effect). Here's the YKTTW archive if you want to take a look.
Isn't that Heroic Neutral?
Nocturna, this thread does renames if they're done in YKTTW. When we send tropes back to YKTTW we are not required to keep the names they were mislaunched with.
Do not open new TRS to rename badly launched tropes. They're new enough that better names do not need their own thread. Please keep things here.
As such, I'm leaving Lightbulbs For A Face with you to handle.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickThank you for the clarification, shima. I apologize for opening that TRS unnecessarily, in any case.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I don't feel this needs an apology. TRS rules aren't codified anywhere for now, and the only attempt here hasn't had official approval yet.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAh, okay. It's just that the TRS thread was already opened, so I assumed that meant it had moved out of this thread's proper authority. I'll keep that in mind for the future, though. (Also, to me at least, "rename (without return to YKTTW)" and "back to YKTTW (where it might get a rename as part of the further work on it)" are separate concepts.)
Anyone have any suggestions for a new name for Lightbulbs For A Face? I recall seeing Lightbulb Eyes proposed in either the YKTTW or the TRS thread.
I'd suggest Glowing Eyes, Shadowed Face, personally.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.@Nohbody: Actually, it's not a snowclone. It's a reference to an organization called Cerberus from Mass Effect... although the guy who made the YKTTW doesn't even know that.
... it was a hilariously bad YKTTW.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Blue-Collar Warlock. Just cutlisted, by the way.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think that is a trope, but it needs more examples and a description that doesn't talk so much about "This isn't that trope".
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIf someone wants to schlep it into YKTTW before it gets cut, be my guest.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Another one: Ishida Mitsunari. If this guy is actually a common character in period works, then he belongs in Useful Notes.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"That one looks like Useful Notes material to me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBesides Cutlist fodder?
Looks like a character sheet for someone who doesn't deserve one, at a glance. (Not familiar with Lovecraft's writings, so no comment on the accuracy of what's given.)

All your safe space are belong to TrumpJust to be sure, we are allowed to cutlist Lightbulbs For A Face for re-YKTTWing, right?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Done. Waiting for a Cut Master now.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Re: Lightbulb Face: Also kind of annoyed that the guy never bothered to add my Loom example to the text, or offer an explanation as to why it wouldn't count. :S

Conceive and Kill is in TRS, which means it's out of this thread's jurisdiction. (Although, for the record, I don't support expanding Black Widow, because its current definition is what the term actually means.)
Re: Lightbulbs For A Face: This thread doesn't do renames, just "(back) to YKTTW" or "cut".
